I hope one day I will be so good of an artist that people will pay me not to do there artwork as well..

..im thinking of moving my characters to a new server from Freedom server and wanted ta know what server you all used the most...

I know its been posted before a LONG time ago.. but sense we cant raise up old posts anymore... I just wanted ta know..

..kinna like Adam Warren or a host of artists who use manga or cartoonish elements into there art, but also addin realistic details...

im TRYING ta get back into art, but the new addins to the game ( colored-thermal/mastermind ) are kinna keeping me from my drawing desk till I get it all out of my system..

what gets in the way of you doing YOUR artwork..? (*meaning non-emergency things *)

AND what helps you get in the mood for doing artwork..?

personally, ive often thought that someone with 10 percent dedication and 90 percent skill in art, would be considered a good artist.. but sense no-one sees there stuff, probably no one would know..

and someone with a 90 percent dedication and 10 percent skill, would actually make a better artist, as more people would see there FINISHED work.. and after a while there skills would improve...

..so there...

..anyway.. playing with inking/tracing paper now..

used a .25 ink pen..

..anyone inked there artwork non-digitally?

how did you do it?.. what pens did you use?..ect..

personally, for the stuff I used ta do... I used over-head transparencies and
sharpie markers ( I squished the tips super small with pliers ) on a cross-section
gridded paper around 11x17..so thats two over-head transparencies for top and bottom
at 8 1/2 x 11 each..

I consider it fun.. and its nice ta flip the pages into the scanner and not worry about what way there facing sense they show up whither there facing down or up anyway.. plus not worrying about the sheets themselfs, sense transparencies with perminent markers are pretty durable ( and cheap )

..still though.. im ready ta start inking in a smaller scale, using smaller pens or brushs
...( inking nibs are non-lefty friendly )

..so I was wondering if anyone else inked there art non-digitally, and how you did it??

..hmm.. I think doin a TA character is kinna mandatory for anyone making a new Deviant art page..

...just got a new art desk and art stuff two days ago... just finished putting the dam thing together a few hours ago (( THEY didnt even pre-drill holes for it! ))

err.. well work-up means makin a character with a custom outfit on..front,back,side..ect

..im only doing Dominica and one more for now... I gotta work on inking and coloring and posing characters in different poses..ect...

plus a cleaner way of drawing..ect...
