  1. So my Crab Spider is lvl 38 right now and he's just an AoE crab, has 5 AoE skills, spiderling pets and whatnot and I have fun with him, but there are moments when I'm on a team when my aoe isn't that useful. Like when mobs die too fast or they're too scattered. I feel like an alternate build for ST or something would be good to have but I've only seen people make AoE crabs so I'm not sure how to make a decent secondary build.

This is my current build that I plan on using on him. I didn't put any enhancements because I don't know what IOs are good to use and I can't afford any at the moment as it is.

So what is a good build to use as an alternative? I have 2 respecs available to me and the 2nd build I can make. I'd love to go Bane if it weren't for the fact that I keep the legs because that's pretty much what stops me.

    PPP Arc.

So my SoA is currently level 32 and I'm working on going rogue then possibly full hero (Just to go along with his bio) and I know you can start the PPP arc at level 35.

So I was wondering if I need to be a villain to start the arc or can I start as a rogue? Also, if I have to start as a villain, can I finish the arc as a rogue? Like can I take the first mish as a villain and then go rogue and finish the rest?

    AE Farm?

I don't know what you define as less efficient farming than AE, so I can't really answer that. I don't know what people farm in this game, like I said I'm still learning since I've started playing again. I do missions with the occasional trial for the salvage and such to get my extra costume slot. By doing those missions to lvl like I have I believe I have learned how to play my characters pretty well. I'm not really sure what else there is to do yet since all lvl 50s seem to do is those trials in RWZ or RP.

    AE Farm?

Well I think I have a fairly decent handle on the characters I play, I look at guides and such. I've looked at all the different builds for SoAs and decided on the AoE/Pet army type thing. I've been playing it pretty well I think so far, currently lvl 35, just got summon spiderlings and it's pretty nice.

    AE Farm?

So I'm still learning about the game and such since I've started playing again and I see a lot of people looking for AE teams. What's so great about it? Am I able to do it so I can get to lvl 50 really fast? I'm looking to get my first lvl 50 with my Crab spider and missions take a little too long. Also, do you need to be VIP in order to do AE farm? If not, what tier of premium do you need?

I might have more questions but I can't think of any at the moment.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  6. Well I guess I'm gonna build him as an AoE Crab, I don't have a giant budget, still pretty new and don't have a lvl 50 yet. So as of right now I don't have the funds for IOs and such.
  7. So I made a SoA and I'm about to hit lvl 24 and respec him and make him a Crab. I was wondering what skills are worth taking and such. I'm not that experienced with EATs all that much in general. So I figured I'd post here and see what happens.

    Any help is appreciated.
  8. Is there a way to see what you previously had unlocked before becoming a VIP? I want to make an Arachnos (and keep it when I go back to premium) but I'm not sure if I had it unlocked from when I played a while back (By getting a character to lvl 24 on the villain side). I would also like to know if I had certain powersets unlocked before Freedom was launched as well, I know I had GR on my account when I used to play and stuff.
  9. Ok, so if I make a character while I'm VIP that has a restricted powerset or something, like Dual Pistols, and then I drop to Premium once the sub runs out. Am I able to use one of my global slots that got refunded to unlock the character and continue playing it?
  10. Ok, so me and my girlfriend were both like Tier 2 Premium when Freedom was released. I decided to become VIP for a month, got access to all the stuff and whatnot, now she wants to become VIP so she can try Peacebringer and get all the extra features.

She was wondering how the character slots work. I know VIP gives you 12 extra slots for character creation, but we only got 6 global unlock slots when we started playing again. She wanted to know if you make a VIP AT, like MM or Controller, or make a character with a special power set, like beam rifle or something, then once you're month was up and you go back to Premium, do you still have access to that character? Does it become locked and you just have to unlock it again? Or can you not play that character anymore because you're not VIP? And does going from VIP back to Premium reset your global unlock slots or something? Making you have to rechoose what slots you want to unlock once you go back?

There might be more questions I'm forgetting to ask but I'll post them if I remember. Any help would be appreciated!
  11. I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere but it seems a friend of mine has a problem. Both of the friends I play with are premium, both have played before and paid the monthly fee for it. Now one of them is able to post in broadcast and such, all that good stuff, while the other can't, all they're able to do is send tells. Another thing is that the one who can talk in broadcast also gets mid lvl inspirations while the other can't.

Also, she can't make a forum account, that's why I'm posting this for her.

I know there are different lvls of premium but I don't know how you figure out what lvl you actually are.

Any help on this issue would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Just started

Thanks for all the replies. I have taken some of the dmg skills, I did pick up Moonbeam but I can always respec and get rid of it at some point. I haven't gotten access to the Tentacle skill yet but I'll be sure to grab those and I have gotten Fortitude and it's great, I didn't know it lasted 2 min and recharged in 1, I'll have to watch out for it next time and cast it on another person.

So right now, my Defender is lvl 15, has 5 slots in Healing Aura and Heal Other, 3 in Absorb Pain and Fortitude. What should I slot Dark Pit with? How many slots? I can work on that skill next. Anything else is appreciated. -Syn

    Just started

So, as the title says, I just started a Defender. I am relatively new to the game, haven't gotten anything past 20 so far.

Right now my Defender is lvl 10 and is Empathy/Dark Blaster.

I have 4 slots in my Healing Aura and Heal Other skills, 3 in Absorb Pain and the default on the rez skill. I chose flight as my Secondary Power Pool set since I figured it'd be ok as a survivability type thing.

So basically, I'm just looking for advice on things I can do, or if I'm doing something wrong, how to fix it and so on. Any advice is welcome as I plan on sticking with this character since I've been a healer in just about every other MMO I've ever played.

    Thanks for your time. -Syn
