Quote:I'd avoid Dmitri in Cap and probably Willy Wheeler. For arcs that are kind of heroic or at least neutral: Seer Marino's Oh Wretched Man, Captain Petrovich's Iron Widow Arc, plus he lets you blow up the Cage Consortium building and I'm a strong scrapyarder sympathizer, we've all had a horrible job that really sucked but we couldn't quit.
The Technician Naylor arcs are fairly neutral, Johnny Sonata's too. Oh, and there's Diviner Maros.
For ones you should avoid: Psimon Omega's, Westin Phipps, about half of the contacts in Nerva, really (Longbow traitor, looney ex-hero). Scirocco and Ghost Widow's arcs, at least towards the end since you're stopping something potentially good from happening. -
Quote:My feelings. Now if I could mix and match powers I would to get some powers to damage CoT nerva and ghosts.Nope, still would make a warshade. Umbral blast is better because of sunless mire and the pets. Umbral aura is better because of eclipse. The option of fly instead of tp would be nice, but I don't mind the tp; I would also like to take the pb's inherent, but not enough to take luminous aura. Would also prefer the -def debuff instead of the slow, but none of this would make up for losing eclipse, sunless mire, or dark extraction.

Quote:Exactly. Why would a villain automatically be for Cole? This makes it seem as though Recluse is on Cole's side which I am fairly confident he is not. Recluse is on Recluse's side.Except that is exactly what I'm getting at. What if my hero really feels that Cole is the last best hope for humanity. Is it possible to be a Loyalist and a Hero? What if my villain just wants to break the status quo? Couldn't he be a villain and join the Resistance?
I hope we get enough wiggle-room that nothing feels forced. -

Quote:Brave Sir Robin wasn't afraid.Yep, that's what I said: people run in PVP because they're afraid of being ridiculed if they lose.
PEOPLE RUN IN PVP BECAUSE OF FEAR.
No other reason.
And you know what? You're just as likely if not more likely to get testosterone-drenched juvenile teabagging if you run. Therein lies the irony.

Depending on the group composition there may be no need for caution. For some players the rest of the team is just people to talk to while thrashing the enemies.
The enemies just aren't that tough and there are only a few missions where you need to be careful with what you do on larger teams.
This game isn't stuck in the mode of most MMOs where you have the tanker rush in and get aggro so the blasters can blast and the debuffers can debuff while a healer keeps the tanker alive. -
I would add people should try setting to the -1 level difficulty on EBs they are stuggling with.

You need at least 2 accounts because if you login the same account you get kicked on the other one.
And it has to be a full account not a trial account.
Sometimes people on the forums have helped out others by creating a character to invite and promote your other characters and then they quit your SG. -
Quote:Based on my buying/selling experiences, multiples of 5 sell faster and for more. There is still some holdover on 28, 33, 38 and 41 because of the PvP zones but since the PvP change last year it is not as much as it used to be so I don't think it is worth it.Yep, that's about it. For some people, it's still about the journey.
So, slightly off-topic, if I'm leveling in AE, what are the best levels to roll my tickets if I'm going to be selling most of the results? Multiples of 5? Multiples of 5 +3 for people who wish to exemp? -

Quote:It's a game.
I play it the way I like it.
Not unlike how folks with Khelds respond when folks groan after a Kheld joins a team.
The game is just fine without players scattering mobs, bringing in additional team wipes, and not compensating enough to make it worth the team's while to keep the WS or PB around.
I don't disband a team. I just leave it to have all those wonderful benefits of having Khelds on it. I also leave teams with blasters who cant control KB and scrappers who go Leroy Jenkins. Its nothing personal about the player behind the PB or WS, but they bring in factors that are normally associated with incompetent play not by human tactics but by design.
As far as I know they have never fixed the bug where teaming with a kheldian and then not teaming with them frees you from the formation of quants/voids/cysts. So quitting shouldn't do you much good on that front. -
Quote:I often thought it would be funny if a switch had been pulled where we actually were defeating Statesman with Tyrant pretending to be him. Since they are the same person, how would we know? Not that I know of - but you get Statesman's faceplate as the souvenir for completing the arc where you beat up Tyrant - and I also have Recluse's helmet from the STF, as well as from the 30 month vet reward
Of course that would all be a Nemesis plot.
I think getting Recluse's helmet is too easy. It would be really funny if all the villains who had beaten him for it in their patron arcs and all the heroes with it from the STF showed up with them on like at the end of V for Vendetta. -

What is up with those funky price differences? -
Yes, I soloed him a couple times with a PB. I tried with a WS but too many CoT ghosties made it painful so I never finished with him.
My key helps came from base buffs, inspirations and taking Superspeed (yay 60 months vet reward!) -
Quote:I would recommend not taking sides. Let them duke it out and then pick off the winner/survivors.Hmmm, I wish to switch sides now due to the simple annoyance that this Marcus Cole person seems too little to be my Emperor.
The Resistance sounds to cliche' as well. What other groups remain that could use some support? I promise to bake cookies and I make a mean pumpkin cheesecake. -

Quote:For me there is an entertainment factor of just how long (not high) can I make that list of bonuses go.I slot TOs until 12. DOs until 22. SOs until 32. Basic IOs until 50.
The only exceptions to the above rule occur when I get a steadfast unique in my teens. Something that seems to occur for every character I build. Or I'll craft low level chance for +end procs. If other useful IOs drop, I may craft them or store them.
Under no circumstances do I bother filling up on setIOs before 50. What would be the point beyond building specifically to dominate in the lower level PvP zones? Hitting 50 is now SO EASY, even solo, why bother? -
I tend to split time between my 50s who I enjoy playing plus get the benefit of making more inf and my various lowbies.
However since I level up so fast I rarely accumulate much in the lower levels. And less so exactly at 35.
If you aren't, I'd suggest you expand your bidding to 31-38 or so on both the recipes and enhancements. A complete pain I will admit but that is what it takes for me to get them. If you aren't bidding but just popping in to try to buy it now you are going to lose out to people who are leaving bids because that gives them coverage when offline.
Also when I do get drops I check the prices and decide if it is worth it to tie up a slot to sell them so apart from special ones like Numina's, etc. it seems rarely to be worth the effort to list IOs since no one is bidding or the last 5 show a long time stretch and lousy prices. -
Quote:This made me think of Batman: The Killing Joke.Oh yeah. It didn't even take any thought from me, several of my characters have been rogues/vigilantes all along.
Darn straight. My main of mains will never fall. He's not the typical hero, but he's neither villain or rogue.
On the plus side I believe Positron said heroes and villains who do not stray can earn special things too. -
I am mostly undecided though I do want to switch one of each of the kheldians and VEATs to check it out.
It depends on how the whole switching thing goes. If it is too much of a hassle then I'll start some new characters in Praetoria and let them go where they will. -
