I haven't had any issues except with very minor mapservers this weekend, which is a lot better than I expected. Maybe you should see about switching ISPs, especially since you say you have the same problems with both coasts?

But.. the alternate flight animations ARE the fly emotes... aren't they?

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 600 by 120 pixels or 146.5 KB (whichever is smaller).
For whatever reason, they have not -restricted- it to that, however your image is still too large, being 452 by 387. -

There is an option to disable camera shake under the options menu.

I see you've posted in the Tech forums, hopefully someone there will be able to help you out.

Check the Technical Help forum, there may be some posts already that can help you.

No problem, and if you enjoy your villain, you MUST must MUST do Vernon Von Grun's arc when you get there (45-50).

The hotspot is in Cap Au Diable, but if you've never played a villain before I suggest you actually play the character a bit first before you start AEing, especially this weekend.

Quote:I'll give you the laymans version.Okay, this is the Player Questions forums so I'm going to take a stab at this since this thread is on topic.
I have no idea what a memory leak is. I've seen patches that fix memory leaks and people asking about this type of thing in the past, but it is an unknown area for me. I think of an oil leak, or like when I was on submarines in the Navy, A hydraulic oil leak.
If someone could explain this to me I'd appreciate it.
CoH uses a certain amount of memory (RAM) to run. Usually it's a steady amount with fluctuation depending on zone and number of people around, etc. A memory leak simply means there's something in the code that continues increasing the amount of memory the game is using. Say you start using 500 MB, by the time you log out it could be up to 1.5 GB. -
Quote:HOWEVER...disabling images disables images in posts AND signatures, which is not what the OP wants. The OP wants to see images in posts, but not in signatures. This is currently not possible. It's either all or nothing (all signatures, including images; none. all images, including signatures; none.)]
Ah gotcha. I hadn't messed around with the settings because I don't mind images. Thanks for clearing that up. -
Quote:1. Yes, the three settings (avatar, signature, and image) are independent of each other. Thanks for the help.
Can I somehow see signatures AND any images that are in the body of a post, but NOT any images which are in the signature (yet still see either signatures with no images or all of all sigs minus the images in them)?
And is there a way to do that URL thing which doesn't involve manually typing out the BBcode?
The 'down arrow' thing is too damn fiddly IMO (tiny little thing to click as opposed to the whole thread title...I'd have thought the other way around would be wanted more, but I may be wrong), but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Eco.
2. Yes. User CP > Edit Options. Scroll down to the very bottom and look for "message editor interface" dropdown. The one you want is Standard, which will give you the hyperlink button.
3. I agree about the down arrow, it's too tiny for me but I'm getting used to it. -
Make sure you have "remember me" checked. I haven't had to relog since my initial login.

People using ancient versions of IE deserve a grey block! :P

Quote:Is there a way to get a thread i open to open at the oldest post that i havent read?
Can i turn off the 'frame' or whatever it is, the pics of statesman etc?
How do i insert a link but have the link be another word. In the old system the 'enter url' window had 2 fields, one for the url andthen another for what you wanted to show in the post.
Is it just me or are tge new forums slower to load?
EcoQuote:Also, can i disable images in sigs but still se any images in the body of a post?
And how do I change my forum password? If this is impossible, will changing my game account password make my forum password unusable again?

1. Click on the down arrow next to the bolded text on the thread title.
2. Probably not
3. [url="Your url here"]Your text here[/url] (just take out the smiley
4. I've found it to be quicker.
5. Yes you can, by unchecking "Show Signatures" under the thread display options under settings & options.
6. Game password and forum password appear to be the same. -
It's very easy to disable. Simply go to your control panel, click on options, and it's the second checkbox you run into. "Show your reputation." Just uncheck it.

FatherXmas has a nice ~$600 build in his sig (price changes as components go on sale/rebate etc).

I am VERY happy with the new boards.
