Unable to access updater?

Heya, I've come back to Coh after a long absence, and am tryinig to redownload the client. I am completely unable to connect to the updater, and thus unable get the client. Never had this problem before, and don't have any issues currently connecting to anything else. I've run through all the tech help available on the site and still cannot get the client. Is the updater down or is there some other issue with it? I also am unable to directly connect to any of the FTP links for the network diagnosis tools or to directly download the updater.

I'm pretty frustrated that it's this big of a headache to simply get ahold of the game again to try playing it, and am reconsidering even attempting to come back and play it. Anyone able to direct me to something that can actually help me figure it out, or confirm that the updater is actually completely down would be of great help. Yes I've checked my ports, firewalls, permissions and done everything else mentioned on the tech support site, and I still cannot connect, so linking me to the tech support section yet again will do nothing more than further frustrate me. I really want to play the game again, but if I cannot even get the client downloaded it kind of puts a giant wrench into the idea of returning to the game.

Try editing the shortcut of your updater to force the game to use a certain port. The port options are:
* 6994
* 13094
* 23094

It would look like this:
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -port 13094

To do this, right click your shortcut and hit Properties. In the "Target:" line, that's where you put the " -port #" part. (The space before the dash is important! And the quotes in the right place are important!)

I have already tried that, to no avail. Also, since it seems the forums have been changed over, when I google my problem, none of the previous times anyone else had this issue and had it resolved can be accessed, so I'm kind of at a loss. I have went through everything all over again, and still can't connect, pretty much done wasting my time at this point and going to cancel my account again after being active only one day this time. I hope someone can help me out before that though, because I really would like to play again, but I'm not going to give myself an aneurysm to do so.

EDIT: Resolved the problem, seems to be one of my anti-spyware or anti-virus programs which prevented access for the updater.
