  1. Several new players have been hit by this bug (see similar posts in this forum). Just contact support and they'll get it fixed up for you.
  2. It's a bug that happens sometimes, seems like a lot of folks who made accounts during the maintenance period were hit by it. Support will be able to fix it

And yeah, of course my statement isn't %100 true for everyone. NO ONE'S POST ARE ******* %100 TRUE EVERYONE!!!. ******* OPINION, DIP-****!!! Did you honestly THINK I was speaking for all? Based only on MY experience playing this game? ARE YOU ******* KIDDING ME!!

For example, tonight... checked my server channel, put out request on the channel and the broadcast, nothing happened. Is that ******* hard to believe that TF's don't happen every night?

Now as far as expectations...WELL let's see. I figured if farmed the wall enough, did enough paper mishes on lvl. 4 Difficulty, gathered enough merits(merits what a joke red-side), and sold enough crap on BM. In about than 2-3 months I'd have at least a couple of purple sets... in the meager time I play. I mean is it that really too unreasonable? Hmmm? IS it hard to believe that after a year, a year....one ******* year that I got to uber a toon completely out? Yes? No? Maybe?
I'm a casual player, and I have purples. I don't farm, I don't run TFs, and I don't team generally, yet my 50 MM has a full purple pet set, and my 46 scrapper is sitting on two purples for when he hits 50. I got these as drops from regular missions.

And by the way? Swearing isn't going to get you anywhere here. In fact, the more you talk, the more it seems like you think this game is WoW or something. Maybe it's time for you to pack it in and move on to a game you enjoy?

If you think that the end game is solely farming for purples, you're really missing the point.

    Hint, hint

  7. I had to dig for that one with the new, improved search function. I -thought- there used to be a guide or something somewhere but I couldn't find it.

What I did was copy the entire directory and make a new shortcut. Then, when it tried to reinstall and download, I cancelled it, then went into the registry and pointed the entry to the new directory. If you do a registry search for city of heroes you should find exactly what you need with a minimum of meddling. YMMV. Good luck!
  8. Now that I'm thinking about it, what about the regular CoH vs regular CoV editions? I'm really trying to figure out why I couldn't use a regular CoV on a couple of my accounts.

I've got 74 on my main server. I haven't gotten around to counting those on my secondary servers yet.
  10. Right, I know that, but he's asking about the reverse. Already has collectors edition (like I did) and applying a regular (like I couldn't). Maybe I should go to Big Lots and see if there are any more and try again

Dunno, maybe I had a glitch on the account. It'd be a heck of a lot easier to tell if the boxes were actually labeled instead of just saying "retail" on the code list

I was unable to do so, and thus ended up activating a couple of trial accounts.
  13. They're not, and I found that out by clearing out my local Big Lots of COV boxes
  14. Head to Port Oaks and see your broker, who will show up on your contact list as soon as you zone in. Talk to whoever it is and get a newspaper, then start running newspaper missions until you get a mayhem mission, do your mayhem and you will be introduced to a new contact. Here's a list of contacts by level.
  15. This really isn't the right place to look for a sugar daddy/mama.

However, to answer your first question - you will not be charged until after you have used all your free time.

I don't think it's as bad as you make it sound. LOTRO offered lifetime subscriptions right off the bat, took them away for a couple years, then brought them back, and the game is doing fine.

There will always be people who can't afford to drop $200+ bucks all at once for a lifetime subscription, especially if it's only offered for a limited time.

There will always be altaholics who buy yet another account (plus accessories) that may need to be paid for monthly.

There will always be microtransactions and expansions to bolster the income that could potentially be lost by offering lifetime subs.

Personally, I'd like to see a lifetime sub offered to 70+ veterans, either as a "pay this much now and never pay again" thing, as a reduced monthly fee, or perhaps as a "buy x months get x months free" offer much like the one they are offering right now. "Hey, you spent a grand on us, have some real swag" would be nice.

I haven't had a single issue running CoH under Win7. I don't even use a compatibility mode for it.

    - You are level 50 and make a random Bronze roll with your slider set at 10. Because you have elected to roll against recipes available at L10, it is now possible for you to roll a Bone Snap recipe, but when you do, it will be at L25 (as close as it can get to your level).

    - You are level 50 and make a random Bronze roll with your slider set at 50. You will never roll a Bone Snap, because it doesn't occur at the level you have your slider set for.
What about the slider at level 50 but clicking the 10-14 Bronze roll? (or whatever the lowest is).
