If I'm understanding you correctly, and you're talking about your browser, it might be that your graphic drivers aren't up to date or even installed. That sounds like an issue I was having on a laptop where it was using VESA graphics modes.

Perfectly legit. It used to be the only way to do it.

While a virus is always a possibility, the fact that I've only had one browser redirect, and it was only when I went to the Vidiotmaps site, and wouldn't happen again once I had blocked clicksor.com (the ad site) even after some 30 reloads of the site, make it much less likely that it's a virus causing the problem.
-
There's nothing wrong with the maps, and no way to get a virus from them.
I don't recall if there's an uninstall in included, but you can simply go into the "Data\texture_library" directory of you CoH folder and delete the "MAPS" and "V_MAPS" folders. -
There's something with the ad at the very bottom. I just got redirected to a fake "virus checker" site from there. I hit reload (after blocking that site) and got a regular ad.

Don't forget, higher level tarantula mistresses get an ToHit bonus through Mind Link.

Quote:Ok, then try this one (same instructions as above). It seems to remove nearly all the motes. If you put the two together, the shield is rendered completely invisible. And that's cool StarGeek. I'm going to have to try that. Oddly enough, it's not the circling waveform that bothers me, it's the little motes of colour in the shield that float around.

Here's a partial fix.
Extract this file into the "data" folder of your CoH directory. If you don't have a "data" folder, create one. You should have a full path under your coh folder of "data\texture_library\FX\SUPER_POWERS\Sonic\" with a file called Sonic_Waveform.texture in it.
This will remove the circling wave pattern from your shield, but only on your computer and only with the default colors. If the Sonic character is using customized colors, it doesn't seem to work.
Hope this helps.
Here's an example screen shot:
Edit: This still has the top to bottom "pulse" on the shield. If desired, I can make another file to remove that. -
Wiki page on respecs. More than enough info about respecs there.

Try this setup. Dual boxing? No prob, try thirty six boxing.

Quote:It might be possible that that a bar doesn't show up for these. The number needed is so small that I usually get them in one event, so I don't recall.Actually, I've looked in every category, found nothing, so, I'm assuming there is something wrong or that I cannot get the badge for some reason.
Quote:I used to show up all the time when there was "Supernatural Activity" but I've learned that the only way to win this is two basically have a full team at each of the 4 banners, defeat enough spawn to make the banner vulnerable then defeat these and then all converge on the GM that will appear. I've discovered that the chances of 4 teams getting together for this is pretty slim, so I stopped.
Quote:You need to defeat 25 hellions, no problem, but 25 fires on the other hand, by yourself when there are 4 other people fighting fires that means you'll get 1 maybe 2 for each event so you'll need to visit roughly 10 to 15 fires.
Quote:Why the general lack of interest in events? Are they that old? don't you want to get the badges for all of your toons? If the events are that old then I imagine the missions are getting pretty stale for these people as well. -
Very impressed with the run. Are you sure your Mitochondria Antibodies aren't made of butter or something? They just melted away.

Zombie badges appear in the "Event Badge" category, not the Defeat category.

It will do the same damage regardless of which AT uses it. "Temp" powers use their own damage scale which isn't adjusted by AT, with origin powers being an exception, I believe.

For non-CoH specific ones, also try acronymfinder.com and UrbanDictionary.com (which is not always safe for work).

What, no plans for a team with matching costumes, each with a different letter spelling out E-I-G-H-T ?
I'm hoping to be there on my long neglected Kin 'fender. -
Quote:except for one specific geyser that leads northwest from Point Foxtrot in Firebase Zulu. I've found the little speck of rock at the destination with the flying pack, but whenever I enter that geyser, I never get anywhere near the target altitude. What gives?
The OP is correct on this point though. There is a geyser in FBZ at Point Foxtrot that just goes nowhere. I remember trying to figure that one out years ago. It looks like it's supposed to reach an island, but comes no where close.

Pretty much what you said. AV drops would be it. Level 10 would be minimum for Mr. Yin's origin limited stock.
Any reason you would need them for lvl 8? You'd out level them in a few hours, so it really doesn't seem to be worth the effort. -
Fortitude, speed boost, O2, Clear Mind, Accelerate Metabolism, Adrenalin Boost, Regeneration Aura, Recovery Aura, Deflection Shield, Insulation Shield, Sonic Haven, Sonic Barrier, etc, etc, etc have accept/decline dialog? News to me.
