Great tips!
I'm going to have to try the right split and avoid using SJ to see if I can beat my scores (:48 on my tanker, no SS).
By using my superspeeder I should be able to beat it now!
Some other tips I personally found useful:
- Zoom into first person view if you're familiar with racing / driving games. I had the hardest time skiing down properly until I did this.
- The SG base empowerment buffs (run speed) are a cheap, self-reliant way to improve your top speed. -
My first succesfull MOSTF run was with you leading it, Team 10.
As for the time it takes, I think that's a side effect of the care in planning you have and time you take to explain the tactics behind everything, which I know I appreciated immensely.
Bravo, and I'm looking forward to more fun like this. -

Eh beh, une réponse en francais ! Merci bien, en autant qu'on peut "accueillir" un vétéran de 39 mois 8)
Better switch to English, before someone thinks we are plotting something sinister...

Bah, au moins ce sera un accueil dans les forums de Protector.
No plotting here.. nothing sinister... move along. -

* Website: http://watch.guildportal.com
* Global Chat Channel: None at the moment.
* Recruiting Officers: Kreetch, No-Bana (@Archivist), Rauck (@Rauck).
* Preferred Method of contact: ingame chat or ingame email. Messages left on our website work as well, but might take longer to acknowledge.
* Guild Description: W.A.T.C.H. stands for "Worldwide Anti-Terrorism Command Headquarters", so yes, we are a bunch of do-gooders - shady characters need not apply.
We are a small supergroup looking to expand. Our base includes a number of Teleport Pads, as well as some Storage facilities.

BTW, feel free to contact me here or at the Phantoms of War site at any time, and to use the PoW forums if you have any questions. -
I just got back into things after moving into a new city, with renovations and painting and such still happening so I missed out on almost 3 weeks of Protector action.
My apologies for letting this fall on the wayside a bit.
There was a potential candidate for which we were expecting a response, so as soon as that is done I'll post back here.
In any case, I'll be sure to let you know about upcoming events on Protector in case you'd like to assist as a volunteer.
Thanks for the interest. -
I'd be all for running this with you all this Wednesday.
I've been away for a bit. This would be a great way to get back into some sweet Protector action.
... and get that last bomb badge I need. -

I'm getting discontent with this game.
I'm intrigued at the possibility of helping out in this. I like when things get shaken up (at least a little).

So, a definite "maybe" Mr_Grey?
Since Rasta posted this, we've talked about some potential candidates. One in particular was already either already contacted or on the verge of being so.
Regardless of the outcome, I don't see any reasons why you couldn't get involved in some fashion to "shake things up". -
The only reason I see it not being updated is that events are no longer being submitted to it.
Personally, I rather liked having only one place to look to for scheduled server events instead of scouring multiple, oft irrelevantly-named threads. -
I missed a couple of these and still need the badge associated with the bomb planting... but I keep forgetting exactly what time it starts.
Can someone tell me at what time I have to stop "showing" the kids how the XBox works tonight? -
Not sure if everyone realizes this, but we can help out with any ideas you have, and can even help you for cross-server events you may have in mind.
I know Protector has a lot of creative event organizers, and we just want to offer assistance in any way you may require it. -
Any chance someone will post the name(s) of the player(s) involved in the griefing over in the Praesidium's Blacklist section for review?
Walk away from Paragon City for a couple of weeks and miss out on all the "fun"... -
Introducing the P.E.R.C.!
The Player Event Resource Committee is a collection of players from every server that are dedicated to enhancing the City of Heroes/Villains experience by helping plan, support, and run different projects on a server and game-wide level.
Our shared goal is to help complement our existing community projects through events like contests, games, badge tours, and the exploration of both new and existing game content.
So if you have an idea you would like to submit, need help with the planning or promotion of an event, or might be interested in applying to the committee itself; please click on the link below. After you have been redirected to our site, please click on "New User" at the top of the page to register. You will be asked to fill out a very short questionaire letting us know in what way(s) we can help you. Please be as descriptive as you're able to; the more we know, the better we can serve you.
Thank you in advance for allowing us to assist with your event planning needs.

Dangit.
Now I really *will* have to fix up that drawing and get cracking.
Oh, I think the link you posted as Xander's could be Nightblade_G's. -
Well that cleared up the process.
Good thing you explained all that Teldon, I think Sapphire7 was going to beat me up cuz' I was getting so sassy. -
Rednames picked the first batch of interviewees?

Or simply go with player suggestions, like candidate proposals?
Those who get the most requests to be featured on BTM (perhaps even per server) make the small list from which City Scoop/Teldon can draw from.

And turn it into a popularity contest where people will be campaigning to get themselves in? Ew, no thanks.
[/ QUOTE ]
The alternative is getting these volunteers swamped with interview requests and having them do all the legwork of figuring out who gets interviewed and who doesn't. Hours more work for them.
Plus, when you read an article about people in a particular field (movies, music, etc.), does anyone particularly relish interviews with relatively unknown people, or does one not seek out articles about the most popular?
I'm fairly certain each server already has a good idea who they want to know more about, so campaigning will be rather pointless if it occurs at all. -

Congrats on getting the first issue out! I look forward to reading future issues.
Given the popularity of the Behind the Mask section, you may with to implement a consignment house-style "donation" system that will allow players to "suggest" that they be interviewed with increasingly large bundles of cash in order to get good PR. It's how they do it in real life :-)

Unless Teldon doesn't mind having his PM box overflowing every time a new issue is due.
BTW, kudos to Teldon for working the interviews/screenshots into this issue in such a timely fashion. I was impressed with the number of interviews done given the time he had to work on it. -
I had no idea this was going to be so evolved!
Excellent work, really liking it all. -
Killing Crew and Fear Factor as ennemy groups... interesting.
