I've gone that many missions (and more) without any drops before.
It's rare, and a lot of bad luck on the drop rolls, but it does happen now and then.
One thing to remember is that there isn't a "streak-breaker" for drops.
So every "did a receipe drop" roll is completely independent of any previous rolls.
If you were stating that you didn't get ANY drops (insps, salvage, enhancements, or receipes), then I'd say there might be a bug somewhere.
But just a (relatively) short streak of no receipe drops is well within the realm of possibility. -
A couple of folks have reported it. Looks like the bulldozer texture got "misplaced" somewhere. I expect it'll be fixed soon.

I got beaten to the suggestion, but I'd say give an Arachnos Soldier a try.
You've got good defenses (armor), weapons (gun and/or mace depending on which you'd rather have), melee and ranged attacks, stealth if you want it, and good team support.
The SoA specific-arcs are weak enough that you can easily take them blue-side if you want and not really miss anything.
Now, I haven't tried a Bane build (I'm currently levelling up a Crab build), so I don't know if the mace can be customized to something like a super-sledge or not (on the non-arachnos costume slots) like you can with war mace.
Another option would actually BE war mace. Do a War Mace/Invulnerable Brute or Tanker. My WM/Shield Tank is absolutely brutal. The buffs that WM has gotten have filled the single target hole and it's group destruction of minions/lts is second to none (imo).
BTW deleting a 50 to start over isn't that crazy. Admittedly I've never deleted a 50 before (mostly because I only have a couple of 50's), but I've deleted (and re-rolled) quite a number of 42's to 48's.
One of my main characters has been:
a level 39 Claws/Regen scrapper
a level 40 Broadsword/Invul scrapper
a level 32 Energy Melee/Invul tank
a level 36 Super Strength/Invul tank
and is currently a level 46 Super Strength/Willpower tank

Quote:The leadership pool powers don't change based on the TARGET, they have different values based on the OWNER of the power. You do know that the effect of the Leadership Pool Powers changes based on the target AT, right?
L:A might give a defender %18.75 DMG bonus. A scrapper would only get %10.50.
TT:A gives everyone the same bonus, regardless of AT.
A Defender using Leadership: Assault provides an 18.75% damage bonus to everyone in range of the power.
A Scrapper using Leadership: Assault only provides a 10.5% damage bonus
But the bonus is based on the user of the power, not who's affected by it.
Edit: Well I guess if you want to get technical about it, they do change based on the target, since the target of the power is actually the caster/owner and it's an aoe effect applied to him. -
Quote:You don't have to run through Ouro. You actually have an advantage - they took Siege out of the new arc, which requires anyone trying to get the Dimensional Warder badge to now go through Ouro to finish the first three missions of the OLD arc.
Although you no longer get Siege in her main arc, she still has a one-off mission to stop Siege.
What I did on my most recent toon to run her (using the new arc) was to run the arc and then just keep taking and abandoning (the abandon not the auto-complete) her one-off missions until she gave me the Siege one.
On a side note with the new arc - The new arc is quite a bit easier than the old version (imo at least), what with all the "cameo" appearances of the Phalanx NPCs running along with you. And you don't have to fight Shadowhunter anymore. That guy's a real pain for lower damage ATs. -
Quote:Wait....so you're saying that getting shards faster while solo would solve your "miserable unfun gameplay" ?Yeah they need to change this. I play very very late too and even less than last year. No one is on to group with. They definitely need to change it because I am finding other mmos to have better population at my hours then this one. I love this one more but the devs don't care about all hours people or anything really but miserable unfun gameplay for some people.
So what happens once you've built the incarnate slot that you want? Back to being miserable?
-----
Now, personally, I'm one of those primarily solo folks. I run TFs now and then (with friends and SG mates), and I team with folks I know (friends/SG mates again), but I only rarely bother to join pick-up groups and almost never do pick-up TFs. So I run solo, often.
The shard drop rate from mob defeats is a bit too low (imo), and it certainly could be increased some without breaking anything.
I don't know about adding guaranteed drop stuff for solo work, as I don't really think it's needed (just increase the mob drop rate slightly . . . about double current rates).
I personally think it's better to leave the guaranteed rewards to the TFs and the random rewards to everything else, but that's just me. -
I'm pretty sure they DID do something specific with the Alpha slot enhancement.
I'm remembering a post (but dang it all if I can find it now) that specifically talked about it in regards to Mind Link.
Mind Link doesn't accept recharge enhancements, Choking Cloud doesn't accept Accuracy, and Fluffy doesn't accept Damage enhancements.
However, all three of them can get the boost to those aspects if using a multi-aspected enhancement. Recharge/Endurance, Acc/Hold, Acc/Damage, etc.
[If I'm remembering correctly] The Alpha slot was specifically said to NOT allow the multi-aspect type of work-around (or minor exploit or feature - depending on how you look at it).
So if the power (or fluffy's summon) doesn't SPECIFICALLY allow that type of enhancement, then the alpha slot won't enhance that aspect.
(so Mind Link won't get recharge from an alpha slot, fluffy won't get damage, choking cloud can't get accuracy, etc)
Of course I could be wrong here, but that's what I remember. -
Quote:Oh that's just mean, heheheheheheWell, the Monkey and Redcap are good for startling people.
Just find a zone where creature would be found and then after summoning it fly over a person or group who is just standing around where they obviously think it's safe. I personally like the Redcap at Annah because a lot of lower level types go there to get the extra costume slot. It's even better if you can get a few friends to join in so you have a whole group of Redcaps that can't be targeted charge up.
Yes I'm sadistic.
[Note to self: remember this one for the next time the SG has a "costume up the new members" day] -
Every item in the game has a unique ID associated with it.
[at least I assume it does, that's how most MMOs deal with creatable/destroyable/decayable/tradable/etc items]
I would assume that they only added one field to hold the attached
item's ID number.
Hence, 1 item at a time attachment. -
Ah, well like I said, it doesn't surprise me that I've been misunderstanding how it works
-
I could very easily be wrong here, but from my understanding it's working as intended.
As I understood things, the debuff from FR lasts only 15 seconds on it's own, and doesn't stack from itself.
However, the debuff is continuously re-applied during the 15 seconds that the rain patch lasts.
So, if the mob stays in the patch for the entire 15 seconds, they will be debuffed that entire time plus an extra 15 seconds from the last tick of the rain patch. == 30 seconds.
If they get out of the rain early, then the debuff lasts for 15 seconds after they leave the patch. -
I've only solo'd Ramiel on my 50's so far.
If you're on a team, does it unlock the alpha slot for everyone on the team?
(or at least all the level 50's?) or just the Arc-Owner? -
And just to add a bit to what Uberguy said....
Purples will drop from any normal (ie non-AE) mob that can drop level 50 receipes.
So, basically, any mob of level 47+
However, incarnate shards only drop from level 50+ mobs....
So if you're going to be farming anyway, and you've opened up the alpha slot on that
character, you're best bet is to farm the highest quantity of level 50 mobs that you can
handle in a timely manner.
That way you're (potentially) getting purple drops, incarnate shards, and max level set IO drops all at the same time. -
The Pocket D teleporter (and access to the Tiki Lounge where the tailor is), along with the GvE costume parts, is part of the Good vs Evil edition.
A new player is most likely going to be using the Going Rogue code to activate and so won't have the GvE codes.
The GvE goodie pack is available for purchase seperately though, just like any of the other boosters, if one really wants it. -
Quote:Oh agreed.A few years ago, some friends and I got to talking about the whole 'pimp' reasoning behind there not being female pets, and my friend Kathleen pointed out that she was free to have male minions that she objectified.
Thus was born a Thugs mastermind whose minions worked for her at her male stripclub.
I've got a magic-origin Thugs/Dark MM - named M. Goose
She's placed soul warping/mind controlling spells into all of her "songs" for a never ending stream of corrupted youth to serve her every whim.
But, folks seem to not get as bent out of shape with the Dominitrix-Mistress types as much as the Pimp-Daddy types...go figure. -
Quote:Well, up until recently, it wasn't really possible to generate clones/duplicates of yourself [most likely for many of the same reasons we don't have real MM pet customization].I have a way around this, why not add a new set--summon clones of yourself? So, if ur a girl, you summon all girl clones of you, or if you're a guy, you summon guy clones of you, no? And that way, no worry about "pimps & slaves"?
With the recent advent of the duplicate tech that's been added...who knows?, it might be possible now.
I'm having trouble coming up with what kind of other powers you'd have besides the duplicates (that could keep everyone happy that is).
So, maybe we'll see some kind of duplicate/clone MM powerset, or maybe not. Maybe we'll see alternate animations for Illusion Controllers to use duplicates for Phantom Army, or maybe not. Maybe we'll see real MM pet customization sometime in the future, or maybe not.
At this point, there's just really no way to tell until it either happens or doesn't.
[BTW during our heady pen-n-paper superhero RPG days, we used compete to come up with the most overpowered - but still within the rules and point systems - characters we could.
A friend of mine came up with a guy who had completely normal human stats, but had a single power of self-duplication. The way the power was originally written, it's cost was based on how many points your character was. Well, since his character cost ZERO, he ended up being able to create something on the order of 100 million duplicates of himself. Called the character ASIA
Of course our single most overpowered character ever had simply one power:
Teleport - Usable On Others - Extra Dimensional - Ranged - No Targetting Control
Bad Guy shows up
POOF, Bad Guy disappears
Us: "Where'd he go?"
TP Guy: "Beats me, but he won't be back."

Welcome to Energy Melee.
There's a reason it used to be the single most popular Tanker powerset
(and is still quite popular)
In other words, yeah LB Wardens are rough. -
Quote:I still like the old semi-rumor/semi-wish that the Devs had some secret plan to "get" those toons who had linked themselves to the Hamidon by slotting too many Hami-O's . . .As a historical FYI there was a time way, way back during the first year or two of the game when you could get many (like 5 or 10) HOs during EVERY Hami raid. Of course what you did to get multiple HOs per run would necessarily deprive other people from getting ANY HOs during the same raid. Needless to say that implementation was grossly unfair and quickly changed to the "one guaranteed HO per player" scheme we have today. Those were the days.
It's true that set IOs have mostly replaced the need for HOs but there are a few powers where HOs work very well for. For example Membrane Exposures (33% Rechg/20% ToHit) work pretty well in Build Up and Aim type powers. Enzyme Exposures (33% END Redux/20% DEF Debuff/20% ToHit Debuff) work perfectly in Radiation Infection. And since most people usually only leave one slot for Swift sticking a Microfilament Exposure (33% Fly, Run and or Jump) there works pretty well if you want to boost both running and flying speeds.
Basically HOs only have a few niche uses, but those uses are worth exploring.
Almost as good as the "don't click the glowies during the Terra Volta trial" rumors. -
I'm not 100% certain but I don't think so.
As I understand it, if it's a normal AE mission you only get tickets.
(no merits, no receipe drops, no salvage drops, no badge credits for defeats, etc)
If it's one of the Dev Choice or other special AE missions where you can choose
"normal" rewards, then you get the normal drops any other mission gives rather than
tickets. -
Hami-O's (and Titan-O's, and synthetic Hami-O's) are the "pre-invention system" multi-aspected enhancements
They provide SO level enhancement of multiple aspects of a power.
For instance, Centrioles enhance Damage and Range at SO levels (and also Damage Resistance, but that's a side-effect of the way damage enhancements work).
They've never been highly available, since it took a Hamidon Raid to get 1 random HO, and nowadays they seem to be even less so.
Personally I've never really bothered with them. They were too hard/expensive to get in the old days and now Set IO's have *mostly* supplanted them.
Some folks still use them though. -
Whoops.
Yeah you're right.
Don't know where my brain went with that.
Other than I'm in the middle of World Wide Red and have those dang things stuck in my head
-
Because (tm)
Seriously, there's been tons of speculations ranging from the technical side of things
(the engine doesn't really support customizing MM pets - each pet is simply a numbered option to keep down required information passing back and forth between the servers and each player in visible range. ie instead of having to pass: this pet has head #1 with hairstyle #2 in color #3, shirt #2 with texture #4 in color #5, pants #4 with texture #6 in color #3, etc all that needs to be passed is: pet #1 is active)
to the "social" side of things where folks think the devs may have been concerned about
"Pimp-Masters" and thier bevy of slave girls.
The truth is that we don't know all the thought processes of the Devs and we don't have female minions because "that's just the way it is" -
Not only is it the stacking Vengences from the Lt class mobs, but the Auto-Turrets that the Operations mobs drop have a VERY high to-hit/accuracy and cut right through Defense.
While the auto-turrets don't do much on thier own, they are a real pain in my tucus as I do a lot of in-combat toe bombing with my Bots/Traps MM. Normally my soft-capped defenses let me get away with it pretty easily, but those things keep interrupting me left and right. -
Really? I could of sworn they didn't.
OK, I stand corrected then.
