One further point. If the original poster is using a trial account, they do NOT have to install from the disks. They just need to attach the new code to their account.

As to having a current copy of the game, I burn a DVD (or back up to an external HD) or the City of Heroes folder and restore using similar methods of this guide:

Was that first part a typo? you were getting 22-24 mil and hour street sweeping effectively +3s in RWZ I get about 1/10th that non exmped ... anytime I have run exemplared I get a slight boost but nothing on that level. .. if true I must test and kick myself for wasting weeks of not months of time

Actually from all reports, that 22-24 million per hour is likely accurate for the comm officers. Any guesses why the Rikti Portals lost their XP/Inf drops?

From descriptions what happened was the following.

Step 1: Aggro comm officers
Step 2: Tap the portals for a bit of damage
Step 3: Profit when portals despawned

Seeing the risk/reward get thrown out the window, the developers "fixed" the portal xp/inf. This caused the comm officers to become the AE critter of choice when Issue 14 was released.

PVP Rep farm. Get 10+ people and go down the line defeating them. You have to wait 5 minutes between killing the same character. Do not team.

Oh, you mean to try to bypass fraud protection measures? I will admit to not suggesting things that carry penalty of jail or worse under actual laws, as opposed to a contract like the EULA.

The top quote here is telling the original poster to fraudulently claim to be from a "safe" region to purchase the packs. There is also the contracts with the regional distributors to take into consideration.

If I was a part of NCsoft's legal or marketing team I would require the regional distributor to carry all booster packs as a part of the distribution deal.

The store checks the IP address of the user, and prevents those in Latin America and a few other places in the world as a means of fraud protection. Now I am not saying that the original poster wants to, but it is likely something that NCsoft's marketing/legal division or the credit card merchants requires.

So until such time that one or more of the following happens, the original poster is out of luck or will have to break some form of agreement.

* NCsoft allows purchases to be made from that region.
* NCsoft allows purchase of gift codes.
* LevelUp Games is forced to carry the add-on packs.

Any Science Booster codes purchased cannot be used by another account. Only the last code section is visible after purchase.

Currently the original poster is completely out of luck in terms of getting the Science Booster.

You forgot to mention that people can bring a pet (most controllers, dark defenders).

Or bite the bullet and team with a lowbie. I don't understand why people display hatred of teaming for badges.

Also - if your primary mitigation is from defense; good luck getting it (on your own) before you are a level where they start spawning yellow to you. The eyeballs are crazy accurate and pack a mean punch.

I think this is one of the few cases where it's harder for heroes to get something than villains.

The unlock is easier for villains, not the badge. There are more and better sources for heroes than the two missions that include Overseers for villains.

The unlockable costume pieces can be opened in the 35-40 range for villains.

At a guess, it will happen, just not the way you might think. You will likely have to do a special arc (most likely in a level restricted way) or get a special recipe to get the ability to do this once per character. To do this multiple times on a single character you would have to get multiple recipes or do multiple runs of that special arc.

Having the ability "free" from level 1 and as many times as a player chooses will remain only for those who buy the Booster Pack.
