  2. Depends. On TA or Dark i could imaging you dont want any knockback out of your AoE's put on the ground. Also in teams knockback is not really appriciated (unless you know what you doing like nrg blaster who can target mobs and position himself).

    Easy fix, select smooth/bare -> Valkyrie, you get the 'flat' ones (but with the 'graphics') that work for shields just fine.

    Edit, and for those who wonder, the mission teleporter is usable from any place, even outside the zone the mission is. recharge is 2 hours.

    Not really. The Mac pack is 19.99 USD, while EU i believe its 15.99 Euro. My convert rate for the US mac was 13,52.

    So saves me like 2 euro.
  5. I hate splitted US and EU servers. Now i have to choose wich side to continue, not gonna buy 3 valk packs..

    So i chosen my US account, dispite my 42 and 45 vet EU accounts. Servermerge.. please.

  7. Most favo, Ghost widow. She just have to come Hero side, this way she can ensure nobody wacks Wretch and she can prevent Arachnos every to be wiped out. Looks great, story is great, just great. Also, she is 1 of the few having a rather unique attack, unlike the others.

    Least Favo, Recluse himself. Being the 'godfather' of the villains, he's a joke. Where states fights bearhands, this idiot needs a spiderpack to even do damage. Also his story just dont cut the villain 'leader' position.

  9. I would rather pick something to beef up her damage output, but has also great damage potentials itself. First thoughts, fire/kin troller, both you rush in melee and controller powers prevent the massive knocking around by storm, yet still benefit their great debuffs.

    Along with kin you beef up her damage alot, making /elec very nice both single target and AoE (wich again suits great with your fire/). Imps can still ditchout damage when mobs do get tossed around, no running around for that.
  10. I was playing around with my /thermal, after having done a fresh install of windows. Now both the dmg/acc buff (thaw?) and the final tier debuff (the resist/def debuff) give a huge 'black' aura around the mob. About the size that normaly the animations should be.

    I rechecked all files, put all settings to default but it remains

    Anyknow know this problem, or how to solve it?

    I would say, stop the 'splitting'. Unless they really expect it to be 'huge succes' they could do a continent seperated game, but if not we get into the same issues we currently have. GW had a great feature on this, now you are free to go US, EU or asia with your character.

    Even the 'big games' suffer this problem, if you play outside the 'normal' times you get smacked in the face with a deserted server, unlike GW where you can pop over to US and find lotsa people online. But even if they make it seperate, i'll be going US version (same with Aion or GW2).

    Ironicly, US i seem to play with just as 'little' lag as i play on the EU server, steady ping around 150-200ms. Only the 2 'crowded' servers i get laggy, but mostly only during peaks.
  12. Anyone noticed btw the new structure being build in steel canyon? (near the trainstation). Looks like a new 'zoneportal' to a new place.

    As for the above question (why do so much work), Tabula anyone? Just before the 'shutdown' they were working majorly on new features such as the PAU and going back to earth. Maybe the architect is already done, but only need finetuning, nobody really knows the real status of every aspect of the game (GM's prob would give 'political correct' answers).

    GW2 was chosen not to transfer characters because of the story. (its like hunderds years later).

    I actualy dont know any 'sequal' MMO where you could transfer your character, only take-overs of MMO's by bankrupt companies.

    Most of the time, they wont allow transfer due the massive change of mechanics. Be it lvl wise or spell/'gear' wise.

    So, to the man, what are you references? Played any MMO's apart from CoX and WoW? To play it on the man, i beat you 10 times and back on MMO's, playtime, ammounts and location.

    I think you go wrong there. The majority of players (i'm talking close to 50 million) are not orc&elf movie fans, or big eye cute little 2d character movie watching people.

    Movies and games are totaly unrelated to eachother, lets not forget Matrix Online, Lotro, or any 'movie that tried to make a MMO' game. Major movies, [censored] MMO's. WoW succes was greatly due the insane succes on Warcraft itself, not on some movie or media of such. Succes of maple? For sure not anything media related. Though i still waiting for MapleStory: The Movie.

    Perhaps you should make your posts more in a 'imho' way, rather then profiling it as 'facts'.

    Nobody can predict the future, neither on the succes of this or CoX2. Perhaps NC even can 'destroy' their own games by making too much of a competition between them and forcing people to choose 1 of their games. They care little, both games will give them the cash.

    I assume NC know what they are doing (recent record of NC Korea, several rewards on their games), i still believe there is a rather big chance NC will put CoX on a lower priority rather then fight CO/DCO with every power they have, they got other games that might get a way bigger succes then CoX ever will get. I gues they just wait and see on those 2 hero games, based on their succes they will counteract, be it the sequal of CoX or a new gran update in whatever (masteraccount perhaps?).
  18. The patron came along the gran update itself, to make them all more in line with the hero epics. At first they replaced a bunch on Hero side (revamp of the 'never used'), but due heavy critics they instead added new powers (hero side) instead of replacing. along that, villian epic got a few new also together with the option to respec them aswell.

    Graveknight got a tiny buff, they will cast their 2 ranged powers with their broadsword drawn now. Most of the AI got a slight 'boost' on performance. (well, my necro's did, specialy on the burnpatch run away issues).

    Overall, merc still gimped, ninja slight retarted, thugs king of all, bots still get stuck (less but still), necro is still my favo

    There would be some sort of link between them. It would be weird that the game itself is advertising getting a 'most improved of the year', while the same site is trowing out 'fake assumptions' regarding their follow up game.

    1 thing is sure, if there would be a CoX2, its very logic there is little talk about from NC itself. Why? Same is the case on GW2 (outside some few 'confirmations' regarding time, story and classes) and Aion (when does it go beta/live in US/EU?). NC seems to be very carefull and mysterious about any of their games, be it a new or a follow up.

    Thats because they were build upon it. The classes, the spelles, the zones and quests, everything is build around it. CoX is far far far from anything 'pvp friendly build'.

    All they doing is trying to create 'magic rules' trying to get any balance (if any) between the classes, but you cant kick out the core of the game. Even the enemies are all based upon these classes and their strength.

    Every tiny aspect of PvP can be 'exploited' one way or another, only by nerfing those skills in PvP they can make a 'work around'. Then its better to leave it as it is (pve game) and dont try to implement a half-working PvP enviroment that hardly works. Every suggestion has huge drawbacks, as it never has been done, it would be a plain waste of dev hours to eventualy realise it aint working either that way.

    Face it, the game is not that succesfull anymore to revamp yet another time to a complete new, yet possible not working, enviroment. They rather do things to keep the masses happy, then to create yet another 'system' that might even scare people away and not even get in new players.
  21. Why push PvP down the throath of those who do not want to? What you if you team up with someone who 'accidently' left his flag on, gank galore. You would need to split servers into a pvp and non-pvp, not to think about the broadcast chat about every freaking gank-whiner in the place.

    We forgot the confuse-atlas nuke incident? That is what atlas would be, bunch of lvl1-5's decide to enable their flag to punch eachother for fun, lvl50 kicks in, whoomp 10 death on the ground. Just put the PvP where it belongs, deserted maps where people can openly yell and curse on the broadcast, without annoying those who just play this game as PvE.

    Nice to refer to games that have world pvp, but those are buid around that idea. CoH never was, never will, or they just as well ditch CoH and make CoH2. Besides that, NC got Aion and GW2 comming up, i really dont think CoH will be high on the 'priority'list as long they can maintain a steady playerbase (US for that mather).

    Even then, it doesnt suit the theme of this game, heroes dont fight eachother 'anywhere'. So only a world where villians and heroes are at the same time would 'suit' it, but merely between those 2, never at 1 side alone.

    I care little about pvp, be it CoH or CoH2. If they cant make up a better playing enviroment, the game itself wont even be 'succesfull' anyway.
  24. I would personaly remove assault and manauvers and take the SL and nrg armors instead. This way (if you go perma granite) you can still tank quite alot pre-32's (as the majority is either SL or nrg based, with a odd on fire/ice). Also you can solo with those few armors very nice at high lvl.

    Seeing alot of lotg's there, pricy build (my granite was build in the time lotgs were only 20mil max, so i get a cheap one there but doing i believe 57% rech bonus atm).

    My initial choice was the 260, but the Ati card had HDMI with sound-out on their 4870 so i eventualy choose that one The difference between these 2 is minor, many games they seem to test are 'vendor'friendly (aka crysis is nvidia, while HL2 Ati controls the top - yet all with very very tiny margins).

    Though your CPU might be the bottleneck (mine is a 3.6 E8400) on these cards if you push them up their limits (wich is far, very very far), they are the nextgen compared to the older 8 or 9x series of nvidia giving you a slight more 'futureproof' card.
