I play City of Heroes, and this hasn't been my experience at all
  2. Or you can just get your enhancements from St Martial
  3. Neither Cole nor Scott allow independant groups of organized people running around away from their respective leashes.

  5. I have a Huge Brute with max height, max scales, Large Valkyrie Shoulderpads and the High Collar Cape. Things are dead before I even get to see them

This "fix" makes it so you don't waste a Mystic Fortune on someone who already has one. (Imagine how overpowered it would be if you could stack 7 or more of these on one person!)

While I would have preferred a message that the target already has one, this is a pretty good fix. I much prefer this to wasting my slow-recharging buff on someone who already has one.
Stacking fortunes was common knowledge/practice before the fix

    Farming?

Farming is a legacy way to earn lots of influence by clearing a "padded" map (for either 6 or 8 people) in the shortest possible time. It is also used for powerleveling low level toons.

These days playing the market is (from what I hear) a better way to make influence, and as far as powerleveling goes, it (IMO) should only be done by veteran players who already have experience with said powerlevel'd AT.

  10. You can also run police scanner missions blueside, but you won't get any actual contacts until you turn hero

You can defeat someone like Tenshinhan, Piccoro or even Vegeta without killing them, but you can't defeat someone like Freeza until you kill him. Freeza also survived Goku's counter-attack (after that unsuccesful last stand against Goku) AND the explosion of Planet Namek.

And I'm not saying Goku would've not wiped the floor with Freeza and Cold, I'm just saying it was Future Trunks that did it. The only major villain in DBZ that Goku "defeated" (killed) was Majin Boo
  13. Stone Armor Brutes/Tankers benefit from +runspeed as well as +recharge

Freeza was alive and well (if beaten up) up to that point, just because Goku arbitrarily declared himself the winner doesn't mean he actually won (until the discs slice Freeza in half, that is). Future Trunks is the one who actually finished the job.
  15. Fire Sword Circle is another example of a power with vectors you wouldn't exactly expect: its type is Fire and its position is Melee, despite being an AoE attack. Also most Mind Control powers (Dominate, Mesmerize, Levitate, Confuse) are typed psionic, but have no positional vector, so positional defense is useless against them.

-Has a respectable single-target chain of attacks as well as great AOE's
-Can be managed with healthy endurance levels
    -Is not a Fire/Kin Troller
I do that with my SS/Elec/Mu Brute (save for annoying groups such as Longbow or Arachnos. Malta, Carnies, KoA and all the other "hazardous" mobs are cake though)

Nitpick: Freeza defeated himself when his energy discs backfired. He is then killed by Future Trunks in a subsequent battle
  18. Usually at +0/x6 for optimized inf/hr, but more than capable of taking on +4/x8 spawns of all but the trickiest enemies (Longbow, Rularuu, etc). SS/Elec/Mu
  19. Out of those 2, Elec/Shield would be the best, since the Blaster doesn't have an AoE immobilize or a taunt aura to keep the mobs from running away, but a Fire/Shield would be even better.

There are also a plethora of optimized farming builds with top level of performance, you should check the Brute forums.

Yeah, I had about 15 bosses on me in that one (not counting the Miss Thystles, who were kept out of my reach by the aggro cap) on a SS/Elec Brute (set to x8), and my defense was debuffed to -300% by the PPD Kheldians, yummy.
