You can already finance all your lower-level alts with a 50 without the in-game emailing of items/inf. This just makes it more efficient and not having to rely on a friend or second account to do the trading.

Thank you.
I was sure I had heard/read that the in-game emailing of items was coming.

Absolutely fantastic!
Loved the part with Manticore and Sister Psyche!

IIRC the ability to email items/inf to other characters was on the "to-do" list. I believe it was mentioned in an article discussing some of the features for/after GR. Not 100% certain ... I will try to locate the article.

Quote:This sounds like a playstyle/build issue - nothing to do with the underlying design of the Blaster AT. Try a better build, find some teammates, make better use of inspirations etc. There are many, many options open to you in this regard.nah Dark Sunstar is my lvl 50 Fire/Fire blaster, I've had her since Issue 3.. And for awhile I could solo missions on my own, and now it's like I can barely go through a nice mission on my own without getting killed once or twice in the mean while..
No change needed here. -
I saw a toon in Atlas the other night named "Mr. Methane" ... who got all pissy with me when I informed him it was a copyrighted name and will probably get genericized...

I know what you're saying and you are correct (TV ads are expensive), but commercials are shown/played all over the internet too. A little more advertising/marketing in the appropriate places (outside the launch of GR) wouldn't hurt.

Quote:Not entirely sure about that. Not trying to compare CoX with WoW, but just citing this as an example.I think PvP merits are a great idea. I enjoy the current PvP system but have given up on it, as there are never any people in the zones [I play on Victory]. PvP receipes are a big draw and people would be more willing to go for them if they could be worked towards, instead of randomly being handed out.
This system would be farmed, but as long as people are in the zones and participating in PvP to some extent, that makes the system a success right?
WoW Battlegrounds granted Battleground Merits which could be turned in for gear. In my experience there, this led to many players simply showing up and then hiding inside caves or stealthed somewhere out of the way and didn't bother engaging in objectives or any kind of PvP activity. They just sat there and collected the merits once the time ran out. It was essentially a decent reward for doing nothing and minimal risk. Whether this is a "success" is debateable.
Can't say I personally see this happening. Even if it did, the XP would be so low it would probably not even be worth the effort. It is too easily farmed. -
Having the information say "Recharge: 2 seconds, Activation Time: 1 second" is much more clear than "Recharge: Fast, Activation: Fast". How "fast" is fast?

/signed.
I'd like to see an Accurate +ToHit set as well. -
I wouldn't mind seeing the power descriptions/text completely redone to get rid of the "Very Fast/Fast/Moderate/Long/Very Long" descriptors. These terms really don't tell the player anything useful. Showing a power recharges in 10 seconds is more informative than a player scratching their head trying to figure out how long "Fast" is.

Quote:Given the design choice between zoning vs. not zoning and and using the "bubble" method, I'll take zoning every time, thanks. I like being able to see NPCs far off in the distance.I was using the train as an example.
Obviously you don't "have" to take the train.
The point I was trying to get at was that...at some points you are forced to not fly to that location.
Example...why do I have to take a ferry to an island when I can fly?
Why do I have to take the train to Croatoa when I can fly? -
Quote:5+ years playing this game and I have never once landed in a mob I didn't see with SJ, nor do I know of anyone who ever has.SJ is just as fast and has vertical movement, but you run the risk of landing in the middle of a mob you didn't see.
The only thing preventing Flight speed from being brought in line with other travel powers is Dev refusal to do so. As was mentioned earlier, players don't just choose the travel power from a set... they take other powers within the pool for their various reasons. To believe "everyone" would take flight and no other travel is just plain silly. -

DA does need some serious adjusting to bring it in line with the rest of the sets. -
Quote:StatesMini and Back Alley Mini would be a total riot. For example, Completed the associated TF and earn its Action Figure (Complete the Positron Task Force, earn the Mini Positron Action Figure)
I bring my Rikti Monkey everywhere, so IMO this is a fun idea. Would these be similar to the non-combat, non-buffing Vet pets or the buffing Vet pets? Reason I ask is two fold;
- The buffing pets are (IMO) kind of annoying in that they die. If given a choice, I'd go for the non-buffing kind.
- However, if they do provide some miniscule buff, I had a thought that perhaps their buff would not work unless combined with the other "action figures". For example, a team could summon 1 of each (ie. Positron, Synapse, Sister Psyche, Citadel, Manticore, Numina) of the Freedom Phalanx TF "action figures", and in their presence the whole team receives various small buffs. Each "action figure" provides a different team buff. This is sort of like "completing the collectable toy set". Not sure if this is a good or bad idea, just something different I came up with.

Happy Birthday Turbo! May all your birthday wishes come true and wait until you see what I have planned for Jade's Bachellorette party!

Snarky comments and weird pseudo-math aside, sets that are designed to primarily be DEF based (yes, some have +HP, minor resists etc.) suffer from Rage crashing more than the RES based sets.
-
I understand what you were saying.
Yes, the Rage crash isn't a total Defense crash. It's a 20% Defense debuff for 10 seconds. I think the point was that DEF based sets (that offer little in the way of RES) will feel that 20% debuff a lot more than RES based sets. Since there are more DEF based sets in the game now, it might be worth looking into that DEF debuff at some point. -
That's interesting... I notice the defense numbers dropping the 20% (in the Combat Attributes window) when Rage crashes on mine. I've got it stacking for ~30 seconds and when it wears off, my total positional defense drops 20%.
-
INV can be more Defense based or more Resistance based, depending on your build preference. Bear in mind, with the resistances built into INV, it makes surviving the Rage crash much more feasable than with pure DEF based sets.

I applaud you for doing this to raise awareness for a good cause. You're a true hero!
