Tonite: Meeting 7.11
Target level: 39ish
The Plan: Start on the 35-40 contacts, safeguards, etc.
What are your thoughts on nextweek? Anyone going to be in town? Call it a make up / TF night, or will there be enough people for a regular session?

For those unfamiliar with the group, Isolators was started shortly after badges were introduced to the game. This was in the dark, dreary times before global chat, global tells, or even coalition chat. Back then, the only way to find a person from the forums was by chance or pre-arranged meeting.
The Isolators project was started so the people who post here in Victory could actually meet and play together, so that you could have some fun with the people you chat with online. Everyone made a new character for this new group. This is an once a week supergroup that plays every 8 pm Wednesdays.
When the vast majority of the group hits 50, we start a new run of the group, switching between CoH and CoV between runs.
You don't have to be an active forum poster to join, through it's encouraged. At the very least, be a member of the community; run missions, join in advertised task forces, etc.
If you're interested in joining up this run, please feel free to post interest here. Everyone is welcome.
A few notes:
Everyone is welcome.
Not everyone is welcome.
This is an once a week sg. If the group ends up at level 20 at the end of the night, please don't show up next week at level 25.
If you're a few levels behind due to playing less, don't sweat it, but try to catch up on your own or with a task force if you can.
We play 8 pm eastern on Wednesdays. -
I have a ss/elec brute at 50 that I've always kinda hated. Might strip him naked and kick him to another server.
-
A few off broadcast, a few from VB, a few from VF. One guy had to drop out a hour from the end due to work, unfortunately. Also unfortunate that he logged instead of quiting.
3 hr 29 minutes, 22 deaths
4 tanks, 2 scrappers, controller, and my dark defender.
For a melee heavy team, we did a LOT better against the Rularuu then I expected. Most deaths were from Nemesis and Malta. Most of the tankers started to behave like scrappers; running off at random and not sticking with the group. :0
Overall, good run. -
TF went good. Four defenders, three scrappers, and a blaster. Or was that the line up for Augustine?
Duration of 2 hr 46 minutes.

Team Hamster did the last mission of 35-40 council arc and then a bunch of Terra arc missions, plus a few random sheridan missions before folding into another team around 10. -

Quote:As Mental said, there's two modes; a RTS abomination and the table top port. The table top port is missing the death zone random event cards (I miss those so muchIs it a straight port from the table top game? If so, my skaven team may need to be reborn.
Announcer: And there's a great pass from Rat Marino to Jerry Mice, who will make the dodge and bring the ball home!).
Very happy with how it turned out. Keeps track of all the annoying rules, which makes random player upgrades in leagues much easier to handle (no more keeping track of which oof the eight linemen on the field has tackle, game modifies all rolls for you!). Just hope they keep adding more teams every few months or sooner. -
Been too busy playing Blood Bowl to hatch any plots. I was actually planning to spend the weekend playing CoH, ran the tutorial and a few single player one off missions to get used to the interface, then spent the entire weekend doing league setting.
-
Target level looks to be around 38, going to have to level / wait for people to level to see how things are.
Team Hamster was pretty much Team Defender. Didn't have much problems outside of DE. Team hated to go after the drops.Plus the lack of strong aoe'rs made taking down the hordes of drops (most of the spawns were WAY too LT heavy) annoying.
I've always hated DE drops. Wish their summoning was at least interruptable.

Heh. I thought Masque was making some weird thread alleging that happy birthday itself is broken, in response to the Vivace thread.

Ok, done with Dragon Age.
Now for Blood Bowl. And Dead Space. And Mass Effect again. And then Dragon Age again. And Assassins Creed. And then Mass Effect 2. -
Steam is pure digital distribution, no discs. Know what you mean, I got it for 15 bucks off Best Buy back in the day, just to have a more up to date install disc (and a cheap costume pack).
EDIT:
But if you haven't gotten Architect edition yet... You get a free month AND a costume pack, for ten bucks. It's worth it for the monthly sub alone. -
http://store.steampowered.com/early-holiday
If you'll remember, this includes a month of play and a costume pack. -
My two highest brutes are a level 42ish elec/elec and a level 50 ss/elec. Really unimpressed with elec armor.
Found SR, WP, and regen (in that order) to be my strongest scrappers blue side. -
What flavor of scrapper did you have again? DA?
-
Quote:And Viking has been playing Mass Effect non-stop. That's my fault, I convinced him to buy it when it was on sale. :0Bummer, hope it gets fixed soon.
You and Dragon Age just need to go ahead and get married, Ham, it's pretty seriou.
It's kind of funny to see this... when I get busy, I generally play my other games less, but CoX playtime stays about the same. But hey, you don't want to get burnt out on the game. I know I was before my long hiatus.
