Been waiting for Fear 2 for that same reason, Mental.
And make sure you keep this page bookmarked:
http://forums.steampowered.com/forum...d.php?t=518670
Lists all sales, including ones that aren't on the main steampowered page / storefront. -
Hey, no one said the 2nd task force was defender only.
-
Nericus;
You can just drop off the island and warp right to Quarterfield.
Zamuel:
And, frankly, the story arc missions are a lot more fun then police band. You have more varied objectives, ambushes, patrols, possible EB's and AV's, etc.
And that's another; I wish they'd go through and promote a lot of the named bosses to EB/AV in the old arcs. And freaking promote the Archmages in Augustine already. -
Looks like we might be up for a speed Quarterfield in two weeks. :0
-
Target level looks 43ish.
Team Hamster did various 40-45 nemesis, crey, and rikti missions, working on phone call levels for those contacts. Got arcs started for the crey and rikti, will continue on them next week.
Was pretty defender heavy for most of the evening until we merged with the other team. -
-
As Des said... And there's nothing that's a bigger drag on a team than a constant "Going two zones over to hit the contact." And let's not forget the classic; "Sorry guys, this contact wants me to do hunt missions first."
Besides a few Portal missions and 1st respec, how often does anyone do a Family, Sky Raider, BP, Tsoo, Vaz, Clockwork, Skull, Hellion, Troll, Warrior, or even Freakshow arcs? -
Hey, he has a point.
I mean, the Rogue Islands don't have war walls!

Given the chance, I'd kick the people who put in the STF cutscene straight in the nards. Even if they're a wolfman.
-
Still haven't played it, great deal at five dollars through.
During the holiday sales, picked up Mirror's Edge, Assassins Creed, Crysis, and Osmos.

Have two elec armor brutes; and I don't know why. A level 50 ss/elec that I've always hated a bit and a level 40ish elec/elec.
-
The martial arts pack makes all the characters look like they have back problems.

Tonite: Meeting 7.13
Target level: 42ish
The Plan: Clean out any left over 35-40 content, move into the 40's.

For those unfamiliar with the group, Isolators was started shortly after badges were introduced to the game. This was in the dark, dreary times before global chat, global tells, or even coalition chat. Back then, the only way to find a person from the forums was by chance or pre-arranged meeting.
The Isolators project was started so the people who post here in Victory could actually meet and play together, so that you could have some fun with the people you chat with online. Everyone made a new character for this new group. This is an once a week supergroup that plays every 8 pm Wednesdays.
When the vast majority of the group hits 50, we start a new run of the group, switching between CoH and CoV between runs.
You don't have to be an active forum poster to join, through it's encouraged. At the very least, be a member of the community; run missions, join in advertised task forces, etc.
If you're interested in joining up this run, please feel free to post interest here. Everyone is welcome.
A few notes:
Everyone is welcome.
Not everyone is welcome.
This is an once a week sg. If the group ends up at level 20 at the end of the night, please don't show up next week at level 25.
If you're a few levels behind due to playing less, don't sweat it, but try to catch up on your own or with a task force if you can.
We play 8 pm eastern on Wednesdays. -
What Grey said.
TO's are pretty much worthless. DO's are close to it as well. And to top it off, you rocket past those ranges as well.

Massively ok.

Quote:I'd have them just give it right off, especially for the pre-level 20 contacts. You have hordes of them in CoH in the lower levels and unlike CoV, they are chock full of hunt missions and doors that aren't usually in the same zone. At least CoV contacts keeps you in the zone of the contact, generally. No "Oh, you're level 3? Do a door mission in the *** end of KR" from a contact in Atlas or a "You have a choice of defeat 10 level 12 CoT in Perez or defeat 10 level 12 CoT in Perez" when you're level five.I think it was at the Q&A panel that Hero 1 mentioned he was trying to do exactly that.
He wants to make the contacts in heroes be more like the ones in villains, and give out the cell phone after the 3rd mission or so. It's a lot of story arcs to go through... -
The two STALKER games are great; I think they're my favorite FPS's of all time. Just love the scenery, story line. It's a sci-fi FPS that doesn't feel like a sci-fi; good real physics, no ray guns, etc.
-
Like, say...
Instant/quicker phone call levels for all the original contacts. I mean Jesus, it can't be THAT much programming to change that.
Change the LFT flags; most people don't even know they exist. Make it easier for people to find teams.
Out right eliminate DO's and trainers. -
-
New content for levels 1-20?
Hells yeahs, that's just what everyone has been demanding for YEARS. -
Hope you come back man.
In the mean time, remember to sign on irc now and then. And add us to your steam friends list! -
Target level looks 42ish.
Finished Tina last night, started a round of safeguard.
