Salt will either be another variation of a long line of sleep agent movies or something fresh. They have no choice but to advertise it as a sleeper agent movie or they'd spoil what makes it different, assuming it actually isn't.
If the film didn't have a headliner, most would wait for Netflix to find out which. For me, Angelina Jolie is worth chancing there might be more to it.

Hell of a lot of "sleeper" type-movies/shows/characters have come out in the last few years. They've been around for a long time, but fairly recently have made a pretty good surge.
