  1. Finally back from out of town, so I'll hit on this:

Red-brown and the like, I have no problem with. It's when they make his hair the fire red that is on display there, I get annoyed. I dislike the trend because it always managed to conflate WallyWest!Kid Flash together with BartAllen!Kid Flash.

It's picky, yes, but it's just one more step robbing Bart of his individuality.

Iris Allen is Wally's aunt, and since there's blood relation there, it would seem that there's some red in the family. I see no reason why a grandson of Barry and Iris couldn't be more readheaded than boring brown.
As was pointed out Iris Allen actually has no blood relation with the Wests. Though it does appear there is some red hair in one of the lines as Iris' and Barry's children, Don and Dawn, are red-heads.

As for "boring brown"... name a speedster who has brown hair. In fact, name a big name superhero or at least one who is attached to a big name (i.e., sidekick/partner) who has brown hair.

Off the back of my hand, I can only name two and even then they're slightly obscure and unlikely to be picked out by name by non-fans.

    You mean this costume?

Think I would have preferred it without the red above the shield, but it still looks good
    YES.

That suit is MILES above that horrible black thing.
  2. I'm rather liking Tim's new costume as well. Or at least the idea behind it. I think it's just a bit too busy with all the strappings and pads and stuff. Trim some of that back and it'll be pretty good.

Kid Flash's suit... is a mess. At least now we can see that those aren't big ol' red eyebrows, but actually part of the cowl that just looks like big ol' red eyebrows. That's also a very odd cut to the cowl, just looks weird in the second image. Really though, like Tim's, this costume is just way too busy. Keep the lightning motif trims, but lose the "ringer" bolts at the waist and forearms. And do something with that rather derpy cowl. It's like taking all the worst aspects of cowls and boiling them down into one really bad iteration. And finally, if that is supposed to be Bart as they've said, well, BART IS NOT A REDHEAD.

Superboy's non-costume continues to evolve into something completely unrelated to both Superman and superheroics. I disliked the T-shirt and jeans combo when it first came out... and this is looking even worse. Why couldn't the return of his awesome second costume be done here instead of this rather uninspired dreck?

Wondergirl's isn't too bad. It's combining the looks of a couple of previous WG suits and still adding its own flair to them. Not really digging the scarf bit though. Just looks out of place.

And I have no idea who Smog Lass, Spider Girl or Fist Person Thing are. Does anyone know?

I am ambivalent on Tim's new costume, and while I do kinda-sorta like the new origins on certain characters... OMGWTFBBQ is up with Superboy's and Kid Flash's costumes? And who is that on the ground there? And in the back? Tha hell?

It's revenge of the 90s and not in a good way!

And wait... KF there is supposed to be BART?! Oh hell naw.

Hawk & Dove - LIEFELD?!?!? They gave freakin' LIEFELD art chores on this series?? I don't know or care who Sterling Gates is right now, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!? How does this guy keep getting work outside of his creator-owned schlock? Does he have blackmail on someone at DC or somethig?
I know there are some people out there who like Liefeld's art. But at this point, he's just there for the shock factor to get people interested. I cannot for the life of me see him actually sticking around on a project for more than a year at most.

I've met Liefeld. I've talked with him. The man is a dick.

Oh, and Sterling Gates is a decent writer. I believe he wrote Supergirl for a while and helped do War of the Supermen.

OK, I admit that I like Damien!Robin a bit, but seriously? Man, DC is committed to erasing the late-80s to late-90s, aren't they?
  5. Oh yeah, also?

Just because you want to use Emps to buy stuff doesn't mean you can't also use Astrals.

By the time you get 25 Emps to buy a glowy armor piece? You can also buy another piece with the 100 Astrals you earned along the way.

So it'd only take 25 days of three trials/day to get the full set of glowy armor.

    Misleading FTL.

It only costs 150 Emps for the glowy Acension armor.

    It costs 401 for:
    Glowy Armor
    Basic Armor
    14 Auras
    11 Emblems
    9 Emotes

To get the entire set of glowy armor only costs 150 (at these current placeholder prices). If you want EVERYTHING else as well as the glowy armor, it's 401.
  7. The Batman Begins music was a nice touch.

    That said, pretty awesome!

An even more fun thing to do is to toss the Coercive Persuasion confuse proc into it.

A chain power with procs for AoE confusion while chaining more confusion? Win.

  10. That is an awesome site. Plus it finally gave me the answer to a question I'd been wondering about for a couple of years.

    Thanks!
  11. Still not liking the whole "bio-tech" look/feel of the costume and all.

But... that was the first trailer that really made me go "wow" over this movie. That did look pretty interesting.

Just because something has remained OP for a set duration of time does not mean it is not OP.

It should, yes. But only at a 50% rate, unlike the 100% rate that Single Target attacks get when used from Hide.

Yes. ALL the Judgement slots get buffed by the Musculature Alpha.

BUT... they're not supposed to be buffed by things like Build Up, Aim, Vengeance, +DMG IO bonuses, etc. That's what Ion's jumps are getting. The initial hit is working correctly, but every jump after it is inheriting all the +DMG buffs from the caster.

    Waah.

Those of us who are saying it's bugged are merely acknowledging what's very evident to anyone who actually uses the power. If even mentioning that something is not working "properly" is equivalent to "screaming for bug-fixes" and saying "O Lordy, let's fix this now" then I fully expect to never hear from you on any sort of problem you might have.

Personally, I chose Ion before I knew it was bugged. It was thematic for my Elec/Elec Dom. I'm still going to use it once it's fixed because I like it. But that doesn't mean it's not working correctly.

It's not and it'll get fixed when it does. In the mean time, I'm going to continue enjoying the power, but still acknowledge that it's bugged.

I doubt you'd see much difference whether it was a Brute or Defender.

The Ion jumps use the NPC damage cap which is 400% (+300%). That puts it around the 1800-1900 range once maxed.

    Wish I'd screenshotted that.
Best I've had so far was a double hit at 1800 against a Roman boss during an ITF.

I'm gonna miss it once it's fixed, but yeah. Ion is sooooo bugged.

Possibly. But also you'd still reach target saturation where it can't bounce to any because it just came from there.

Also, I fully expect this to get "fixed" to disallow multishot. Ion is already bugged and needs a fix as is.

    Beware the fire chickens.
  23. I'm not on an Elec/ Blaster, but I am on an Elec/Elec Dom. I'm totally going for the Gravitic. That extra -Recov proc will prove to be quite handy, especially since I've got the -END covered pretty well.

Plus a bit of -Special and -Rech never hurt.
