Nah, you don't need all 9 Stone Armour powers....Brimstone = useless and i dont think a taunt aura is 100% necessary as a tank...punchvoke ftw!!11! don't care what anyone says a good tank doesn't need a damage aura, just taunt + AoEs will do. Lasy tanks 4 teh lose

U guys DO see that its says 'Issue 1' at the top of the thread right? Though don't bother askin me why Inf has seen fit to waste his time on a build that is completely obsolete now, because the answer would most likely be 'Ask your mother.'

You call that a bug?

Try wandering around your Family mission as your Brute, smashing and the like, on the highest difficulty (relentless or whoever ) only to find 7 or 8 people randomly spamming on broadcast saying how dark it is in your mission. You think "Thats funny" then 1 of these strange heroes types "try /stuck". All of a sudden this lone brute is surrounded by all these PvP build heroes, including blappers, stormies, /kin and /rad trollers. "Oh, dear." instantly ganked Brute in its own mission (in St Martial no less) by some randomly spawned heroes who were trying to have an arena fight.

Now THATS a bug

When I tanked with Rooks (and this we're talkin pre-i5 here kids, tho i've done it post-ED with few problems) I never had a "plan" or used "tactics.

I'm a tank, I mash, therefore I am.

However, I guess looking back now I had a sort of subcontious method:

TP into big mob (if it was too small, it wasn't worth the effort , and I would just baywatch my way in ) hit the Tanker friendly Build Up button (oh how shiney my BU button is ) then Tremor, and spam taunts + use the Punchvoke-esque thing that was around before i5 arrived, which only Phil + I seemed to know about (I saved his squishies, i.e. SR scrappers ) + poked all different targets with my many, many attacks, except maybe stack a few on the boss, if he was being really annoying, or insulting me on the forums ("Tanks are no longer necessary" etc.), then he would be given a more aggresive pummeling than just 1 Stone Fist .

I rely on my many many attacks more often than taunt, as taunt was nerfed so bad i only spam it on a mob which i may believe to me locked down on me, but a pesky squishfest a.k.a. /SR scrapper is prodding the boss, or, of course, any ranged straggelers I either can't be bothered to walk up to, or can't be bothered to Hurl a Boulder at.

A public service announcement for all those Rock tanks out there with a ridiculous number of attacks

*Turns off Ramble-Drive* Oh well, back to my pointless multi-alting then. One of these days I may even make an SR scrapper.....

As an aide in the creation in this movie might I say I especially liked the stylish, hansome one by the name of Rooks, he was my favourite

I was just wondering, what would getting blasted by a Dark Nova feel like? We all know what smashing and lethal feels like, if you've hit your head on something or cut yourself on one of those darned kitchen contraptions, an electricity blast would feel like those shocks you get when you touch something you shouldn't , fire and ice feels like......well, fire and ice , and energy feels like one of those James-Bond-slash-Austin-Powers type giant lasers we all come across at some point in our lives , but what about negative energy? Does it feel like evil ? Or does it feel like chunks of you are being bitten off, as it is negative? I thought that with our highly enlightened Kheldian minds we could club together to come up with an answer, so that i may sleep once again........

Rooks' Non-GA armours are as decent as ne other tank, and i hardly ever use GA itself unless in the most ridiculous of situations (+ showing off to n00bs), I do wish every1 would stop slagging them off, sod the figures, I believe Rooks is as good proof as any of the decency of other rock tank powers, and yes i have played as him in I6. SO THERE

What is wrong with the tanks of CoH?

Most of a tank's life is spent complaining - about i5, about sappers, about psi, about ED, about i6, can you not just play the game? Its fun if you just give it a go, away from the complainfest in this thread.

I am a tank, and i admit i haven't played as my main much in i6, but it really doesnt make difference if you are GOOD at what you do, and if you die, who cares? If you do it is quite a decent source of comedy which you can exploit with the rest of your team, which could clear the angry obsessing tank stereotype we have on CoH. But then again, you could just complain some more.

Also, good point khaine, but the other rock tank powers are very good if you slot them, and i much prefer not being in GA (No offence bedrocks of the world 0.o).
