Nemesis automatons with missing text is a running joke. You WILL see it a lot if you do Nemesis missions.
Also, FLAGRANT SYSTEM ERROR is one of many pop culture and meme references that the devs like to slip into the game. -
You should totally update the WST list, as found here!
After all, the last WST listed there ends today, and we currently have no idea what's on the table tomorrow, or for the rest of the month of July! -
I did add a set of Kinetic Combat to keep your S/L up after I dropped it with one of my changes. You can get that cheaply using merits - The Acc/Dam costs 50 Reward Merits, which can be quickly earned with a single TF if you pick the right one, the other two doubles cost one Alignment Merit each, and the triple costs 2 A-Merits. Four A-Merits can be earned in a week, or less if you convert Reward Merits. You can also buy the pieces with Astrals or Empyreals, but I don't know the cost.
I changed your two AoEs (Whirling Mace and Crowd Control) to 3 each of Cleaving Blow and Eradication. This gives you 4.38% E/N from each power. I then added Shatter in that empty slot and gave it the same slotting.
I moved the Steadfast out of Unyeilding and into Resist Elements (which was empty), and changed the level 40 Reactive Armor: Resistance in Resist Energies to a level 50 common Resist (It's better enhancement, and cheaper to buy)
I removed one slot from Weave and Invincibility, and put Serendipity in them instead. With the changes I made to your attacks, this puts your E/N defense at 43.6% and adds 1.25% to your F/C. It also frees up two more slots.
I took the three left over slots and added them to your single-target attacks. Kinetic Combat doesn't have the best enhancement values in it, so add a Mako triple or quad - whichever you prefer.
Here's the data chunk:

Quote:Minor correction: There is no way to avoid EBs. Bosses can be scaled to Lts, and AVs to EBs, but EBs will always be EBs.Well, there's something you need to know regarding Bosses, EBs, and AVs: A player can set themselves to not encounter Bosses or AVs solo, which drops these critters one rank. Therefore, bosses are LTs, EBs become bosses, and AVs become EBs. However, they can also set themselves to, say, not encounter Bosses, but to have AVs appear at full power.

I wasn't aware that the game HAD 14-day time cards, I thought they only came in 30 and 60 day varieties. Your best bet is probably to contact Zwillinger or Avatea on the forums here, they'd know more than we would.

Quote:It's not a bug. What happens when Performance Shifter's proc is slotted into an offensive power? I recall there being a bug back when where it would give endurance to enemies instead of you.
Quote:Is that still the case?
Quote:In a power like Consume, which is both hostile and friendly?
Quote:Transferrence, which works via a pseudopet?
Quote:Short Circuit, an attack?
The proc always gives the end to the target of the power. You in self powers, your allies in buffs, and enemies in attacks. Even if the power affects both your end and an enemy's (like Power Sink), only the target gets the buff.
If you're uncertain, open your enhancements window, and look under the "Detailed Info" for the power. Look for the line that says "Target Type". It will say "Self", "Location", "Ally", "Teammate" or "Enemy". That is who gets the buff. In the case of "Location" a pseudopet is being summoned, and it can proc on you during the summon, and the power the pet uses (which isn't visible to you directly) checks Target Type. -
However, they did confirm that if a Free/Premium player switches to VIP, all their slots unlock, and if that player then switches back to Premium, all their slots lock again, and they can re-choose which slots to unlock. However, from what's been said, subbing for at least one month is the only way to re-choose your unlocked characters.

How is he supposed to post the data chunk if he can't load the file?
Tux: I remember reading about that bug with dom builds and specific epic powers. As far as I know, they fixed it. Make sure you've got the newest version. It should say "v1.94 (Database Issue: 12 - Updated 09/05/11)" in the title bar. -
Yes, they do. But when you're running at x4 and EVERY SINGLE ONE does that Untouchable thing when they get low on HP.... That mission was far less fun than it should have been.

Quote:Thanks for your time, Zamuel. This arc is ancient. Judging from the publish date, it's over 2 years since I last touched it. I read through the comments here, then played it once myself, before opening any of the MA files. I'm gonna say this about it - it felt like playing an Issue 0 story arc. By that, I mean that it had a lot of "busy work" that wasn't strictly necessary to progress the story. In the "Victory regulars get freebies" file, did one for for @Roderick. Now, this is coming in with the knowledge that it's rather untouched since AE went live. Still, it's a short little romp that could be quite enjoyable with some tweaks.

The Mission 1 intro seemed rather short. It really feels like it could stand to be lengthened. Though that comes onto the thought that Mission 1 and 2 should be fused into one. Mission 1 seems almost filler though an initial starter can be good. Found it a little funny that the files were required while the civilians were not. This oddity plus the filler feel would be greatly alleviated with a merge. Have only one or two computers, an Icon secretary, a Tailor, Carson, and the surprise "hostage". Mixes it up a bit with appearances and dialog.
Quote:I particularly liked Carson's seemingly callous remark about his employees safety.
Quote:I find the Defeat All in Mission 3 rather unneeded. Doubly so, you have patrols.
And the Ascendants! WHAT WAS I THINKING?
Quote:"Find the clue" in Mission 3 is too...overt. Spicing it up would be nice.
Quote:Enemy design
Forgivable for the time created but the EB/AV in Mission 3 is a bit strong. Mainly Build Up and the Shield Defense tier 9. Probably fine with everything else.
I never ran into either of those powers when I fought him. However, the End drain from EB-scaled Electric Melee is nuts. I may change his power set. I'm not sure.
Quote:The canon AV surprise in Mission 4 is fine.

Clue - Facemaker's files
You found several folders full of low-quality photocopies of hand-written documents. It looks like Facemaker works on location and cash-only, so she doesn't have detailed like Serge does. She's still collected a lot of personal info on her clients though, and it looks like it's all here.
should probably be

Vandal: Pitiful insect! Is that your best?
Overall, I'm not sure if I want to tweak the existing mission, or remake it from scratch. There are SO MANY things that need changing because they couldn't be done right with the tools I had when this arc was first made, that I almost feel starting over would be easier. I'll take a look at it later, and see what I feel like doing.
Thanks for the review. It had a lot of good points. -
Jacob's Ladder does less than twice the damage in just over twice the activation time of Charged Brawl. That means that Charged Brawl has slightly better DPS. On top of that, CB has a 3s base recharge, compared to 8s on JL, meaning that with any amount of recharge bonuses and slotting, CB is up whenever you need it to fill in a whole in your attack chain.
JL isn't bad, but CB is better. -
Note that the highest current bidder is matched with the lowest current seller. If you post for 1, you will get the highest offer from someone patiently waiting for something to come in at a low price. Some time ago, someone posted in here about scoring a LotG +recharge for 1,111 Inf.
Be careful about posting valuable items for only 1 inf. -
I've also seen RIP (I forget which rank) use Tactics, which would increase the perception of all nearby allies, assuming they have the same version players do.
-
All you need is the alpha strike from a group to get your fury to a reasonable level, and you can maintain fury off your personal attacks. If this had any effect on fury generation/maintenance, it would be minimal.
-
You're right, and I'm not arguing that point. But the way I read what I quoted earlier, it sounded like you were saying that the proc was a damage improvement over the pure Damage piece (which IS true, for the ones that have damage procs). I was just making sure you weren't mixing it up with a different set.
-
Reese, unless you defeated him already. Then it's you.
Oh, you mean the DEV team. Black Scorpion, I think. Not sure if he's accepting PMs. You could always send a PM to Zwillinger and ask. I suspect he's got a heck of a backlog though - I sent him a PM a while ago, and it took about 2 days to get a reply. -
Quote:Correct.I'm fairly certain that's not a proc, but rather a constant bonus.

When your account lapses, you switch to Premium, and ALL your characters get locked out. You are given a number of tokens - at least 2, probably more - and use these to unlock characters. If you begin subscribing again, all your characters unlock. If your account lapses again, all your characters re-lock, and you are granted the same number of unlock tokens you had before, or more if you earned or purchased them during your resubscribed period.

Quote:In your Options, set it to hide unclaimable Certificates. Then they won't show up in your mail list until you're 50, so the button shouldn't be red.Which while I understand the reasoning, it annoys me to no end... why? I just created a new alt today, and so for 50 levels now that email tab will always be red... I have no emails, just the certificates that I can't claim for 50 freaking levels... not to mention all the other alts I have!
Wonder if I'm the only one this bothers.
Menu -> Options -> General -> Email -> Hide Un-claimable Account Items -
Both versions of Ascension Armor require you to be level 50 to claim them.
All other costume pieces and auras can be claimed and used by characters of any level. This does mean that level 1 characters have to be created, log in, clain the pieces, then go to a tailor to alter their costume, but neither the cape nor aura missions need to be completed to use these.
Certificates can be used once per character on your account, Vouchers can only be used once, by one character only. All costume parts are Certificates. -

Quote:You know that the Ragnarok proc does no damage, right? Two things: I'd lose the ragnarok: damage and replace it with the ragnarok proc. The damage remains essentially ed capped and those procs are nutso, man.
