Quote:He posted about it in Technical Issues. Short version is that he's partway through the arc, outlevelled it, and the contact isn't offering the next mission, or anything else for that matter.Oh that stinks but now I'm curious... Why can't you finish the Steven Sheridan arc?
All I can think of is that he has three missions open, but I'm pretty sure that was brought up in the thread. -
There have been, over the years, several comments that there's nothing to do with Vanguard Merits once you've got the costume parts. Well, here's the Solution: The Light Vanguard Assault Suit (LVAS).
Purchasable for the Vanguard Merit cap (9999 if I recall correctly), the LVAS is a temporary power with no charges and no duration, ie it's permanent once earned, like the Ouroboros Portal. When used, it summons a Vanguard Heavy, scaled down to the size of the Veteran non-combat pets. This pet has all the attacks of the Heavy, but all the attacks deal 0 damage, have no secondary effects, and are flagged "Enemies do not notice this attack" and "Ignores buffs and enhancements." Also, the pet is untargetable, and ignores all attacks, just like various existing player pets, such as Voltaic Sentinel.
The end result is a cute little 'bot that goes ballistic on nearby enemies, but never gives any combat advantage, so balance becomes a non-issue. -
I made a second build on a BS/WP scrapper with SOs only, but built for exemping. I easily soloed both Positron and Synapse with no temps (but LOTS of insps, especially for CWK).

The robot is a vehicle, not an automaton. And since the controls can only be operated by Burkholder's robotic hand, and Burkholder is defeated and presumably captured at the end of the TF, it seems difficult for the robot to do anything.

Once you craft your wings, you have to visit a tailor to add them to your costume.
Tailors are located heroside in Steel Canyon, Independence Port, and Founders Falls; villainside in Cap au Diable and St Martial (I think. I never use the secon tailor redside); and shared zones Rikti War Zone (accessible from Atlas Park, Founders Falls and Perigrine Island blueside, Cap au Diable and Grandville redside) or Pocket D (in the VIP room, only accessible if you have the Good vs Evil version of the game). -
If the enemies have +Acc or +ToHit built in, or use powers that grant either, then you need proportionately higher defense to floor them.
Also, it's my understanding that higher rank enemies (Lt, Boss, EB, AV) have a higher floor for their hit chance. Your best bet is to read Arcanaville's guide to defense, and if you have questions or need clarification, ask her, either here (if she shos up) or send her a PM. -
I think the devs are actively taking steps to confound the pigg divers. This would include things like not putting the vet badges into the live release until they're ready to announce them, or putting a really crappy click stealth power that wears off if you move into the code just before the release of the "ninja" booster pack.
The former method would prevent the info becoming public early by both deliberately examining the game files in a EULA-breaking way, or accidentally, by merely receiving the rewards early due to a system error. -
Quote:If you want to stun people, you use [Power Boost] or [Power Build Up], not [Build Up].you know the power "Build up"? boosts your dmg and to hit by alot then when you attack with it you do alot more dmg. well its kinda like that. devs are building up then they will let out an attack so great everyone will be stuned

Quote:Keep in mind that Niviene is a Forums Moderator/Administrator; not NCSoft's Webmaster, nor a Dev with access to the game databse. As such, the most she can do is send a suggestion to the right people. Harassing her to fix it is roughly the same as freaking out because they added a Walk power instead of fixing {insert non-animation related bug here}.As a company policy, you can't post announcements like this exclusively to the forums and not expect to annoy people.

Quote:Or, as has been said several times, even in this thread... you vendor the training origin enhancements, and use that to pay the market fee to list the Inspirations.I did not see anyone mention it, but
With number 3, the challenge is over. The attempt fails.
- If you fight nothing, you have ZERO inf.
- You must have at least a few inf to pay the auction fee when you put an item up for sale.
- When you exit the tutorial, you have zero inf, until you defeat at least one or two mobs outside the tutorial.
- If you have zero inf, you can NOT put the two inspirations on the market.
- Challenge fails. You cannot begin to make any money until you sell those inspirations. and you can not put those insps up for sale, until you have defeated one or two to get the market fee.

You didn't say what price, if listed, for the Posi procs
-
Or any other storage tables either.
Also, note that, if you coalition with 10 other SGs, those 10 are not automatically coalitioned with each other. You could make a network of 11 SGs, each of which takes the other 10 as their coalition, but more often, each will have a different set. Which can sometimes make talking in the /coalition channel amusing. -
Not that's been announced, or to my knowledge, even discussed.
The global friends list is HUGE. Did you really fill yours already? -
It's not an always-on option, unless you have HUGE +recharge, but what about this?

Quote:Can't you actually right-click and edit that macro, just like the special Mastermind Macro buttons?Architect Comlink is not actually a power. It's actually a macro of the /architect command and the MATablet emote.
(Note that /architect and /em matablet are both unlocked by the Mission Engineer accolade, so you can't just use /macro MA "Architect$$em MATablet" at character creation) -
As BAB said the day the power was put on the Test server: Walk does not play nicely with ANY powers. He would need to code a walk-animation for EVERY power, just like they did for flight.

That copypasta needs to be updated. The search function is a little different on the new forums than it was on the old ones.

A couple quirks about brokers to keep in mind:
-When they offer a bank mission, you have to do it to get a contact. You don't have to succeed; you still get a contact if you fail. But if you choose "No, thanks.", then no contact is offered.
-You can do paper missions in any zone that there are contacts in your level range. For example, You can still do papers in Port Oakes from 10-15, because that's Radio's level range. However, if you've already completed all the contacts in the Zone, the broker will not give you a contact in the next zone; you have to go to that zone and do papers there, and get the next contact from that zone's broker.
In addition to the unlockable contacts, you might also want to consider using Ouroboros to do any arcs that you outlevelled. With the new sidekicking rules, you will still get XP while doing Flashbacks. -
In most cases, PBAoEs are spheres. Some few, usually the ones used by pseudopets, are cylinders. The most notable example is Caltrops, which was briefly bugged a while back to have a VERY tall cylinder. It was capable of hitting enemies flying at the zone ceiling, but was no wider than normal.

Pocket D wastes my Mission Transporter all the time. EVERYWHERE in the club and tiki room (except a small area around the base portal, apparently) is telepot-suppressed. This includes anywhere you can walk to from the dance floor without clicking a door. The Ski Chalet allows teleporting normally, as do the hallways beyond the hero/villain only elevators.

Quote:The Redcaps in the first room are almost always an additional +1, and I usually end up aggroing 2-3 groups at a time. And I wade through them with no problem. Is it the Bres that are the issue? Which foes are hitting you more often you feel? There are a ton of Red Caps inside BNY's cave. And they would all not only have the bonuses for being +2 lvls mentioned previously but are using Archery ... inherent accuracy of 1.15
In my personal experience, the ONLY time my SR toons have a problem on the BNY mission is when I let a Bres summon (it's not the Bres itself, but the Animated Stone). All enemies that summon pets that players can summon, summon the EXACT same pet we do. And since those pets have player-style 75% base accuracy, you're not softcapped against them until you hit 70% or higher def. -
Quote:What about Silithus and the Eastern Plaguelands (available with no expansions), or.... hm, it's been a while, but there's two in Burning Crusade, one that follows the mechanic in EPL, and one that involves flying around on a Griffin bombing guards until the area goes neutral, then PVPing until one side takes control.Wintergrasp is a controllable PVP zone, and was WoW's first "open world" PVP zone (instead of being an instanced battle ground). It's pretty epic.
Anyways, a zone in Northrend (added after Burning Crusade) isn't the first in WoW to have open world PVP minigames. -
If you've got funds on a different server, now is the perfect time to move them around!
Roll a new toon, and hand it a few million. Then move it to the server you want the money on via the free server transfers and hand the money over.
This is easiest to do if you have multiple accounts, but you can also get a friend to make the mule for you. If you don't have any friends, I'9 not sure what to suggest. :P -
It's not the debuffs. I watch my Def in my Attribute Monitor, and I never drop below 45% (from 47-48%).
The problem is the fact that there's 1-3 Bres in each group, and Bres summon Stony. They get the same Animated Stone that players do, which means that Stony has a base 75% chance to hit, rather than the normal 50% for enemies.
Your best bet is to beat down the Bres first, and if there's more than one, try to mez or KD them so they can't summon. Killing them after they summon doesn't help; like Death Shamans, their summons stay after you kill the summoner.
