That's what the Turtles get for asking Batman to upgrade their van.

Name your topics better, damn it.
*slams the door then re-opens it and walks out of the room* -
Really? I'm gonna have to be the one to create the topic and gush over how amazingly hot Summer Glau looked?

It really depends on how you play. If you prefer Range AoEs, Crab. If you like to be up close on the action and more Stalker-y vibe, Bane.
However, I do believe that Crabs are more survivable. You can kite, and later on down the line you get both a resistance toggle as well as a self heal.
That being said, Banes are also crazy fun once you've IO'd their defenses to soft-cap and have Crowd Control. That thing has such a wide arc it's insane.
Personally, I think what I did was the best way to go: Level the toon up at a crab till you hit 50, then create an IO build for both types for diversity. Unfortunately, that means that no matter what, you'll have to look at those legs. Hopefully they'll have a fix for that soon. -
I create a Sonic/MM Blaster on the i19 beta server and I think it's a great and unique combo.
However, there are a few concerns I have:
-This is a pretty melee heavy set. How effectively can I build defense bonuses with these sets?
-There are quite a few cone attacks as well. I'm considering getting the sleep cone for the cheap purple set. Is this a good idea?
I'm not an experienced Blaster player, so I could use any advice for either power set. -
Much better quality video. Makes some of it look better... and some of it much worse.
I like the suit transition. But the mask? I can't put my finger on it, but there's something off about it. It just doesn't look right. -

From what I understand of movie production, the footage that gets sent for trailors and sneak-peaks aren't final cut quality. I sincerely hope the effects get some more work between this and the release.
On the subject of Hals attitude... I think it's appropriate. Especially if we are going with the concept that he gets the ring and gets sent to 'boot camp' to learn how to use it properly. Looking forward to seeing Kilawog say 'Poozer'. -
For my Crab build, I'm considering Cardiac Radial Paragon or Nerve Radial Paragon. It's a conceptual Tank build, so I'm leaning more towards Cardiac due to the damage resistance bonuses being so rare in this game.
For my Bane build... I'm unsure if I want to go for straight up damage with Musculature Core Paragon, or improve my defenses with Nerve.
It's just occurred to me... I may need to re-think my IO setups with the alpha slotting in mind in order to get the most out of my builds. -
*sigh*
I didn't think they'd actually kill her off. And so soon too. I mean, I had a feeling the relationship wouldn't last long but... this kinda irks me. It feels almost as if she was just thrown in there to be an 'omqwtfbbq' moment.
Looking forward to teabags execution... -
Want to know the definition of torture? I had to sit through the Justin Beiber 'movie' preview before Megamind started. There's nothing worse than a hollywoodized 'inspirational story' about a young, white, middle class 'nobody' that got picked to be Disney's new poster-child.
-
Saw it Saturday (forced to because there were no other family friendly movies and my 12 year old niece was with us). Decent flick. It had some laugh out loud moments and some clever details... but... yeah. It's certainly no Pixar film.
Favorite part: Megamind's "No You Can't" poster. -

If he'd stayed dead, THAT would've been a huge shock.
As it stands it's just another in a long line of comic book Soap Opera deaths, as genuine and lasting as any other promotional 'event' in a character's never-ending career.
I was pretty young back when they killed Superman, and I didn't have a lot of comic book knowledge under my hat... but... I'm pretty sure they never even considered killing off such a high profile hero before Supermans death. So even *if* you were informed enough to realize that comic book characters almost never stay dead... you'd have to be some kind of future-seeing prophet to actually think they'd *do it*. If anything... that was the surprise. The fact they went through with it (if only for a little while) and didn't make it another 'close call'. -
It's interesting that loading another zone brings it back. This could mean that something in the code is checking for some sort of flag and is bringing it back. So, naturally, this means 2 things.
1. They could try to find what's causing it and fix it... which could take quite a while.
or
2. They apply a quick fix by introducing an element that constantly checks for the build type and properly removes the pack.
Personally, I'd like to see a secondary inherent ability added to each sub-class of Soldier. Something they can attach code to that allows the game to go "Hey, you're a bane? No backpack for joo, then.". Although I'm not sure how possible that is. It really depends on how their game code is set up. -
I was put off by the art as well.
A lot of 'artists' like to fool themselves by saying it's a specific style they're focusing on... That they choose to draw this way.... and... I know, art is subjective. Hell, I'm a artist too... I know how this stuff goes. But this... just looks bad. Look at his back in the second panel. You can see the line of the podium going right through him. And wtf is with the black brush strokes on some of the clothing? Nope. I don't like this one bit. I actually have a friend who's an amateur comic book illustrator and he'd be appalled by this too.
Aside from the story looking like crap... so does the art. I have to know... who's buying this? -
Regardless of how the auras look, I absolutely *love* how many options they have. I thank you for adding separate left and right arm auras (as well as making combat activated auras standard). If we could get more asymmetrical options... that would just be wonderful. ^_^

From what I understand, there are quite a few bugs in this latest version of Mids. Hopefully it will get fixed soon™.

Pretty good episode, in my opinion. Eli finally got someone interested in him... I really hope they don't go down the typical she's-only-interested-in-the-geek-because-he-has-information-she-wants road. Loved the interaction between Eli and Greer. Reminded me of highschool, actually. I, too, had a confident friend who often tried to help set me up. Granted... it never worked out quite as well as it did for Eli...
Anyway... I'm starting to wonder if Rush will end up becoming the enemy. I haven't seen much of a threat that goes beyond individual episodes and his secrecy is starting to worry me. -

I'm torn between having no money, wanting to play, looking for work and going to school all at the same time. Could be better. Could be worse. Just trying to hang on as best I can.
Marcian, I'd love to hear more about your CCG. I actually considered making one of my own but it never really got passed the concept stages. -
I was wondering... How crazy would it be to attempt to build a Crab meant to be a substitute Tank? They seem to be sturdy enough... and while the pool Taunt isn't as strong, it would work well enough for it's purpose. What do you think?

Isn't it just.... or are they focusing a little too much on the love? I should have counted how many times they used that friggen word in this episode. Yes, I know because it was all about Clark telling Lois, that it was inevitable for it to be the subject matter... but still... this episode brought the 'lovey-dovey drama' in spades.
Anyway, glad to see some forward momentum. Now all we need is him flying, wearing the suit, picking out the glasses... and fighting Darkseid... so I can finally stop watching the CW and it's commercials for their horrible, horrible shows.
