Try out mace mastery. True, you carry a mace but they shoot the type of energy you are looking for. Not sure if the blast from a big stick and not from your hands is too much off theme or not.

Cabal witches, Tuantha trees, siege/nightstar's minions, werewolf boulders... There is a number of things I could list that will easily breach a mag 8 knockback protection when you fight multiple of them at once as I've seen it happen.
But if you're just playing on low difficulty settings you wont run into this. You also wont run into this if you skip alot of content. -

I think I'd go Elec/Regen myself. I'd think Regen's too clicky for DB (redraws, possible (tho prolly rare) combo interrupts, etc).
My first 50 was DM/Regen. Loved it. My elm/regen hit 50 last night. Loved it.
As for as all this redraw and regen talk. I've stopped mid combo to use sands of mu and still pulled off the combo with redraw and all. If I have time to use sands of mu, taking time to hit any of the regen clicks should be a non issue.
As far as my pick, I'm gonna say elm/regen. Mostly because it plays so different and because Lightning Rod is... -

Has anyone used ninja run on a BS scrapper and charged an ambushing mob on the beach in an ITF with the sword out?

I say Ice/Cold. I say this not because the shields or the +HP buff. I say this for the debuffs. Cold as 3 ally buffs, a team def/res buff, and 5 debuffs that are under-rated. One of those 5 (heat lost) is a debuff/team +rec/+end buff.
Think about it... Scrapper jumps into mob. Mob is hit with heat lost and sleet. Scrapper cuts loose on slowed weakened mob with unlimited endurance. Mob drops. Scrapper is untouched due to the ice shields and fact that the mob couldn't stay standing... On to the next one! -

The scrapper boards is a happy place where you can talk numbers then turn around and talk about flipping out and killing all in perfect harmony. -
I rolled elm/regen. My other two /regens are BS/regen and DM/regen so this was a different feel. The best part is the focus on recharge will have LR back at least every other mob. The downside is when you are in the middle of TS and you need to click a heal. That's my only issue but its a issue that can be handled. Due to the lack of a dmg aura, you'll get better performance by constantly changing targets. I was splitting time with my DB/ela, but, since I hit 41, I got bit by the 50 bug and have to keep going.
I had considered a elm/SR but I wanted to try something that would be considered hard and required some level of thinking. I'm also considering elm/invul. I'll have to save that one for the next wave of alts. -
I did this once on my DM/Regen (changed the build over 10 times). Just use the stealth IO + SS and drop the concealment pool. That way you can take speed, leaping, fighting, and fitness and have the same amount of stealth. That was one my toughest builds. I think ill rerun that one next time I respec. If you are taking the pool for phase shift, grab one of the several temp power renditions floating around.

Some other mobs you "may" run into with fear are:
1)The illusion control longbow wardens. But that's just one arc.
2)Jack in irons use a long duration fear power that last longer then a small breakfree.
3)Those unseeles that are with the GMs douring the holloween event.
However, like everyone else has said, just have some breakfrees for those rare moments. -

I'd go with energize first. 1) it needs the most slots so you get it slotted early. 2) if you ever exemp to do the positron TF, you will have a heal and help with your end bar.

Which is, in itself, a flawed premise, when you consider that there is only a single power that increases smashing/lethal resistance (Charged Armor) and a single power that increases fire/cold resistance (Conductive Shield). By the same logic presented there, the smash/lethal and fire/cold resistances shouldn't be included in the tier 9 because they only exist in a single power within the confines of the set.
As it is, having played with the power on my Elec/Stone Tanker, I'm not as enthralled with it as I was when I first got it. The power is only slightly more useful than Elude on an */SR simply because you're adding more resistance to an already resistance heavy set: most of the +res is redundant and the comparative improvement in survivability isn't nearly as impressive as you would hope. It would be a lot more useful as a +def power than as a +res power considering how singularly focused the set is otherwise. -

At least it grants res to toxic thus allowing you to get res to all dmg types because you already have res to psi. Should come in handy vs hydra

In addition to what has been said, you should consider dropping the rez and taking SOW and 3 slotting it with Res. You will get a lot more out of SOW. Its crash isn't hard and it has a decent recharge. Not to mention the fact that it works as a breakfree.

All I see is one set. You can put a target aoe set in fireball. Its pretty much an upgraded posi blast as far as set bonuses. I can't think of the name.

I say you put it in health. Its always nice to have that 3 slotted. You might get your habds on one of the uniques one day.
