Quote:As much of a downer it is, Political humour is a touchy subject in this game because of the EULA's. I'll give you some proper feedback on the arc when I get a chance to play it tonight.Arc Name: Healthcare Nightmare!
Arc I.D: 345379
Morality: Heroic
Level Range: 1-54
Length/Number of Missions: Long, 4 missions
Description: President Obanga and the Washington liberals are trying to pass their healthcare bill, but something just doesn't seem right. How can the government run healthcare? Who is going to pay for all this? As a true American, it's your duty to uncover what's REALLY going on!
Thanks for the ingame feedback I've gotten already everyone. Clearly, my n00b is showing. I've fixed a few of the obvious stuff like reducing some of the map sizes and setting bosses to auto-spawn. I'll work on stuff like character bios as I go.
One thing that surprised me were the number of people who suggested I avoid political humour or satire. Where is the fun in that?
Anyhow - again, thanks all. Hopefully my next one will avoif some of these obvious pitfalls. -
Just a note for posting your arc. Follow this structure;

Quote:Those weapons you are talking about have been created with a built-in aura.Sure they could, though depending how you do it is the tricy part. they could do it like they did for elemental shields. A different weapon for each aura, and then just let us select the color scheme associated with it (like orange, green, blue elec shields etc)
To add an aura to something say.. a Legacy Broadsword would be impossible because it would be like adding one of the costume auras (E.G: Fiery Body) over a weapon. Which according to the Devs is impossible because that's adding a costume piece onto a costume piece. -
Quote:Apologies for misunderstanding you, then. Why does everyone think I'm complaining? That was a COMPLIMENT! I don't need to LIKE something in order for me to appreciate it and admit that it does exactly what it was intended to do. In fact, this was an argument AGAINST people who were complaining about the run not fitting their character concept because it was too much "like Naruto." Well DUH! It's a ninja run, and a very exaggerated one. That was the point. It wasn't intended to be anything else. If you can use it for something else, then great. But if you can't, well tough. It does what it was meant to quite well.

Quote:Have to agree with the others here about it being a comic book superhero game. It needs to be over-exaggerated.People are using the Ninja Run to fill in for an actobatic style of running akin to what Champions has (which I've never seen) and find the running animation to be bad. While I'm not a fan of it, myself, all I'm saying is that it's not so much bad as it's very specific to a very narrow subset of what the image of "ninja" evokes. Which I guess was the point of the pack, seen as how we have the broad-spectrum ninja paraphernalia already freely available in the game.
I mean, people are complaining that Dual Pistols is over exaggerated, but others are saying it looks friggin' awesome (like me). It's the same situation with Ninja Run. -

Considering that Developer-made arcs sometimes offer a Temporary Power (such as the Diving Rod) how about the opportunity for us MA Authors to give Temporary Powers for certain missions?
Since the farming problem has been more-or-less stamped into the ground, Temporary Powers won't due much in the aid of farming arcs.
Players could select a Temporary Power to issue from the current list of in-game Temporary Powers.
These would be lost upon finishing/quitting the arc. (Maybe code it so they can't be used outside the AE building?)
Maybe we could go as far as offering our own custom made Temporary Powers?
This could be done by having up to Three (3) Selectable effects (Damage, ToHit Debuff, Hold etc) and a certain number of points which could be slotted into different attributes (Damage, Recharge, Hold etc).
But my original suggestion is just to add already in-game Temp Powers, but custom ones would be good too. -

+Rep for Rick Astley and Cartoon Network. -
IMO we have TOO MANY shortcuts in the game as it is >.>

Quote:Sounds lovely, more badges and a handy power!Okay, here's an Idea:
Blue-side Accolade: "Timely" Text: "You seem to turn up at the right place at the right time."
Badges: Commuter, Clubber.
Red-side Accolade: "Bad Penny" Text: "You always seem to turn up, like a bad penny."
Badges: Smuggler, Clubber. -
Can we not link an ally betrayal to a boss defeat?

Just a quick review for my arc:
Arc ID: 299507
Arc Title: The Fall of Rapture
Author: Aristocras
Morality: Heroic
Number of Missions: 5
Description: While walking through Portal Corp. you notice a message that has gone unread on one of the computers. And it's from an alternate dimension. One called Rapture. -
So, driving down the road with my girlfriend and there isn't a single good thing on the radio, so we switch over to her favourite radio station for the promise of good music.. That's when we heard the dreaded music. And I thought Rick Rolling only plagued Youtube!
We're promised good music, but instead get Rick Astley playing. -
This isn't possible, because according to the Devs they can't "put a costume piece onto another costume piece"

Quote:If only my Sig was big enough to fit all your quotes, BaBs..I don't think Blizzard literally throws money at the game. It does paint an awesome mental image of everyone at Blizzard standing around throwing wads of cash and coins at a boxed copy of World of Warcraft. Which at best, would just confuse the game (assuming it's sentient enough to be aware of what's happening)
On a side note; It probably is sentient enough, knowing the amount of money Blizzard pump into that game. -
Quote:Where's the fun in ending it at "I'm here to play, not read"?I would have ignored them after the "I'm here to play, not read" line. Then again, I hide from searches 99% of the time and don't get 99% of tells like this.
I will agree you did the right thing and were a LOT nicer about it than I likely would have been.
Might as well get some kicks from it lol -
Never really teamed with you, but I have seen some of your posts and it's sad to see a fellow player leave, regardless.
Have a good one and hope to see you soon!
