Name:The Fall of Rapture
I.D: 299507
Morality: Heroic
Enemy Groups: Custom Groups
Synopsis: While walking through Portal Corp, you notice a message has gone unread on one of the computers-and it's from an alternate dimension. One known as Rapture.
Let's hope it'll be a Merry Christmas -
Quote:You just made my villains feel warm and fussy insiiii... I meant you, er, made them feel quite.. Uhh, villainous.. YesHatred?
Utter nonsese!
This is simply Paragon Studios showing us what we knew all along; that villains are superior.
They know that, unlike the delicate heroes who need to have their hands held for practically everything, villains have the strength and determination to reach a threat level suitable for Cap au Diable in no time.
Why else would Villians have to fight for their patron powers while heroes have them handed to them on a plate?
None can deny our superiority, not even the developers.

I've been convinced. Now I have to go and buy some planks of wood as make-shift barricades
-
I agree. Vary PPD and Longbow, they do get boring when my villains have to always smash them.
-
I think I might be the only CoH player who likes fighting Circle of Thorns

Quote:"Sounds fun, make it happen." Ava grinned, while kneeling on the ground.
"I can make the light bend around us, making this whole party invisible. We will be like a Khamsin, a desert wind. Getting close to our enemies without being seen."
She was preparing various devices and gadgets. She was carefully pouring volatile chemicals into a sphere-shaped piece of glass, and was pocketing what looked like pieces to a large, 3-D jigsaw. She weighted Web Grenades in her hands, and tipped the tops of caltrops with her finger.
"I'm good to go." -
"Ohh, gimme!" Ava exclaimed, pawing at the binoculars. Upon finally receiving them she took a long, hard look at where Pious was pointing.
"Whatever it is looks like fun." she mumbled.
"Our ideas of fun are very different, Missy!" Carter groaned.
"Stop moaning, Carter, you're always out of the fighting. You'll be fine."
Ava crouched down onto the ground, sliding some .88 Caliber Rounds into her rifle. She chambered the gun and put it back to it's home position her her shoulder, while the mechanical arm holding it hissed, emitting small gushes of hot steam. She adjusted her goggles, making sure they were holding her hair out of her face.
"What's the plan boss? Rush in, beat 'em up and ask questions later, I assume? I'm fairly certain a lot of things here can't speak too well." Her mood seemed to have suddenly switched, like a light being turned on. Her cocky, playful and somewhat quirky nature being replaced by one of steely determination. -
7.30 suits me, just not on weekends (incl. Friday)

Marksmen. Marksmen of any kind, especially Council ones because they're a frickin' minion meaning your recharge is debuffed through the floor! A real pain at low levels.
Rikti Swords, even on their minions can hit pretty hard, but not too much of a problem.
Oh dear God, Vanguard! Never EVER have I stopped playing an arc after the first mission. EVER! -
Quote:What time did you have in mind? That's it, we are now officially registered! I'll be about this week sending invites. When shall we meet for our first in-game RP, Wednesday night?

Ava Sixx stepped off the tram, cursing at an ignorant little child you had been molesting poor, defenseless Carter. The young woman turned to her custom Force Field Generator; it was a beauty of a thing, really. It came with a distinct AI personality and a voice. She patted it on the head with her mechanical arm.
"There, there, Carter." she cooed.
"Easy for you to say! You're the one with the gun!" It chattered.
"Oh, shut up, Carter. You should be used to this by now.
She stepped out of the tram station and into the night air, shivering at the Salamancan cold. I knew I shouldn't have wore just a tank top today. she thought begrudgingly.
Ava arrived to see the others whom the mayor had called in to help. She heard a couple speaking Latin and attempted to take up suit. The young woman strolled up to the, a sniper rifle hoisted over one shoulder, the other hand waving.
"Greetingsivi! I am here to, err, hepleroni." She beamed. The others gave her an odd look and she returned it with a defeatist one.
"Oh, don't be so mean!" She grumbled. Carter floated slowly up behind her. "Don't worry, Ava. I understand you."
"Sniff. Thanks, Carter." She began to perk up. "Now, what's the job, Mr. Mayor?" -
Quote:Okay, I'll play around with them then.So?
With the exception of the Pyros (who I think you can switch over to Fire Blast with some attendant costume changes) there won't exactly be a lot of "off-model" powers going off. I mean, okay, there'll be throwing knives, but that's a small price to pay for actually getting proper rewards out of combat.
I mean, don't get me wrong. I can like "just" the atmosphere. I'm perfectly content with running through a mission playing detective for no XP.
But if I'm supposed to be fighting stuff, and burning through inspirations to fight it, I expect to get at least some payback FROM combat, just to keep on an even keel.
Just a side note, if I, say omitted Throwing Knives and replaced them with another power, would there still be full rewards? -
Quote:I would, but the character's sets are supposed to be like that..Yes it can. You can give them their standard powers back.
A bigger problem than no XP and no tickets make Homer something something is that they're not dropping inspirations, either, which puts people who like to actually burn through the things at a severe disadvantage, since they're only getting them at one-third the usual rate, and not at all in some unlucky spawns. -
Quote:Unfortunately, that can't be helped due to the AE's current way of dealing with XP.
Lieutenants and Gunners seem to be worth some XP, but the Commander, Field Marshal, Crowd Control Unit, and Pyro Unit don't seem to be worth any at all.
Quote:So, which anagram do you want do go with here? A unit description says "Elides Norm", but the units are talking about "Mesisen".
Quote:...the mission exit popup says "After you rescued The Answer himself and some T.R.A.P soldiers ran off down a nearby alley to escape the Rapture soldiers rapidly arriving to the rebel's hideout."
That doesn't a) make sense or b) relate to anything I actually did in the mission.
Quote:... Flying Columns? (Crab Spiders. Generally not known for their flying.)
Quote:...wait, dude thinks soldiers followed me to the hideout? The lock was forced when I got here.
I must have forgot about the Raid Commander's dialog.
Quote:Anyway, time to assassinate a political leader. But he's oppressive, so it's okay. Right?
Quote:The clue he drops on his death just says "uble". ...that's the title. No text.
Quote:Gameplay - ***. Big problems were backtracking over Marchand's Office to find all the backup squads (a little dialogue on them would fix that) and backtracking through the final lab to fight the second form of the end boss (I think he's front, the bloody-faced one is middle, and the big boss is back; the first two should be reversed.)
Thanks for the review. Although, I'm not sure how many of those problems got there, considering after editing the arc it was tested. Looks like I'll need to have another look at it.
Apologies again for the mangled arc. -
Okay, changed the Mission 1 Map to St. Martial- The Flush to increase the overall amount of fighting in the arc.
Currently looking for feedback about the character of the contact and how consistent the story feels. -
I agree with one and two, not so much three though. Although, it does make sense.
-
How about for Fitness use Focused Accuracy or something else from Body Mastery that doesn't involve lasers
-
Okay, it looks like Ava is the only suitable character I have.
We going to bother with SG costumes or not? If you want, I could try whip something up.
