Longbow Enforcers and Protectors
Anything to make Longbow more interesting. Always annoyed me now villains have to fight them almost constantly, but they're one of the least varied groups around.
Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

All I'm proposing here is to narrow the gap between Longbow bosses and Longbow shock troops, and eliminate the one egregious gap in having a single sole type of Lt. for the entire progression.
Some other quick ideas I thought of that are in this same vein:
Council Pistols- they disappear after level 4 or so. Revamp them with Dual Pistols, and insert them into the group as part of a counter to the return of the 5th Column. Council troops have been losing heavily in the street battles, and I'd like to see some tweaks to even the odds.
PPD Wall- I've made a bunch of Riot Police types as part of my AE arc Freaklympics, but I'd love to see a lot of Shield Defense troops added to the general run of PPD. Especially since the PPD seem to become less challenging once the average troopers are out of the mix. The SWAT guys are fun and challenging. The robots and kheldians are kinda boring after that.

Well to be fair, they are pretty robust, if you're in a stage to see Bosses consistently. The variety of 30ish+ Longbow bosses is impressive. Thing is, unless you're on a team or soloing at high settings, you don't see them. I can think of at least 7 varieties of Longbow boss off the top of my head.

Although yes, the LTs of Longbow are kinda irritating. Oh, they also get the Chasers. They con as LTs.

I agree. Vary PPD and Longbow, they do get boring when my villains have to always smash them.
One thing I've been kind of interested in seeing (though I'm not sure how it could work) is longbow trained agents specifically made to bring down SoA VEATs, kind of like Quantums vs. Kheldians.
Another idea was a slightly nerfed in power, but otherwise the same, Longbow Ballista boss version.
And finally, taking que from Malta, Nemesis, and the PPDs hardsuits, New Longbow EB; Arbalest. A nigh two story tall powered armored nightmare agent.

Ballista's are bad enough, please...
LT class robot foes, maybe?

I'm all for increased variety in badguy groups you're forced to fight frequently. A more complex solution to villains always fighting Longbow is to add more depth to the Legacy Chain and Wyvern. Giving the Legacy Chain lvl 30+ stuff like "Celestial" Lts and bosses in the vein of CoT Behemoths has been an old idea of mine. Of course, the issue with the Chain and Wyvern isn't so much the lack of units as it is a lack of content using them, as they suddenly drop off at 30 and put you on a constant diet of red and white do-gooders.
Sorry, went off on a tangent there. Looking at the way Longbow is spread there's a good array of minions and a surprisingly dazzling number of Warden types (even though they all look the same), there's only 4 Lts if you count the upgraded Nully as a seperate one. Bolster the middle ranks so they match the other ranks within the group.

The Longbow Nullifier. aka Longbow Sargeant in the lower levels. It's the same foe with slightly improving powers all the way from 1-50. It's boring. In the later levels its even incredibly dangerous, with stacking Disruption grenades.
Uncomplicated proposal today. I think Longbow should get 2 new additional Lieutenant types in the future. Design them to work at each level range, with steadily increasing powers, and put them into the spawn mix so that we can get some added variety in what we fight.
Longbow Enforcer- Dual Pistols combatant, with some tricks up their sleeve. Probably ends up being similar to a Malta Gunslinger, but no teleportation until the higher levels please (preferably none at all).
Longbow Protector- Shield Defense with a weapon set like Mace. Give it a Taunt, and the Shield ally buff, so that it is similar to a Longbow Warden, but unique among NPCs (I don't know any that Taunt).
