Sounds simple and useful, especially when carrying one or two pieces of several dozen salvage/recipe types.

Wouldn't work, at least not in accordance to game lore.
Select below for spoilers:
According to Doctor Aeon in Dev Diaries, the "simulation" is actually a custom-tailored pocket reality. -
I'm torn between "yes", "hell yes", "hot damn yes" and "why wasn't this implemented at the beginning?". Simply expanding the issued mission range to match the level ranges of enemy groups inside those missions would go a long way toward countering contact obsolescence.

Virtue LFG Alpha is a good chat as well for finding groups (If AE broadcast EVER slows down). TFs/Raids/Mission teams all have been asking for more on this channel for awhile, as well as Virtue LFG beforehand.
Plus to V LFG A: Quinch is a funny dude, and you'll get random lols with debates on it. (Cause AE killed the average team)

Slight threadjack, I passed the channel reins on to Jenny MachX. -
Yeah, we ran DXdiag... unfortunately she didn't know she could export the diagnostics and only mailed me a few hand-copied bits.

Working on secondhand information, so bear with me here. {also, chat logs got erased at an inopportune time. yay}

Anyone have a suggestion on what to try? -
Haven't had it happen to be, but just to be on the safe side, change your password anyhow.

I convinced an acquaintance to try CoH - the problem is, the download rate is horrifically slow, as in "days to download" despite that their connection is fairly fast. I don't really have much details about it, but does someone know what might be choking the updater?

Not an option, what with... geographical differences. Got a superspeeder I could hire?

So the question becomes why exactly would they discourage the use of a service they provide, especially a profitable one?
-
Actually, there's a limit to how many tickets you can earn in any given AE mission. But it still wouldn't solve the problem of just resetting the mission via a single glowy objective.

Persistence pays off! {scroll to the bottom}
{also, the thread where I suggested the same thing got purged, so I can't jump and claim credit. Anyone know if there's a way to dredge up ancient posts?} -

What's a knee-jerk?

A guy who keeps pulling mobs over you while you're using Rest.
That, or a reflexive reaction that hasn't been thought through, for example... {taps Leo on the knee with a hammer} -
Huh. Sure, sounds interesting, but a lot of players might abuse that to simply beeline for the easiest groups available.
-
Why not prioritize by history? Enhancement types you buy get moved to the top of the list and stay there until they're bumped down by a more recent one. That way, you retain the option of buying enhancements you can't use {but might care to give away or store or whatnot}, but the ones you're more likely to have a demand for will be more easily accessible.

I'm neither for or against this, but the bulk discount seems a little large. If you swapped two servers with 12 characters each that would normally take $240. You are asking for what's almost a 90% discount on the normal fee. Somehow I don't think they're going to go for that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Problem is, how many players have $240 to throw around? Most of us could afford to move two or three, and even then from what I hear, most players rather make an alt. A bulk discount might encourage the use of the service, especially as the service itself is basically 100% profit for NCsoft whenever it's used.
So, on the whole, /tentatively signed. -
What you're proposing is an attempt to create an objective quality quantification system based on purely subjective methods.
-
My opinions:
Taser: You can stack it with Beanbag, if you've got the rifle primary. As is, it will still stun a lieutenant in a single shot. Wouldn't mind a range boost, though.
Trip mine: No complaints about it, it's remarkably useful both solo and on teams, especially combined with invisibility-grade stealth.
Time Bomb: Too damn slow to deploy and too slow to detonate. Cut both by half and take it from there.
Gun Drone: The constant need to redeploy it makes it frustrating to use. Thus, what I propose is keeping the deployment endurance cost, but making it a toggle with a constant endurance drain while the turret is out. -
How is the Salvage system explained within the CoH universe? What are the legal aspects, if any? Or are we simply mugging our victims?
-
You need all three parameters - if you just try /emailsend it returns unknown command.
-
A quick question about a command that's probably only used for spamming in all but few cases - how do you use /emailsend when it comes to players with spaces in their names? Specifically, I want to set up a macro to email another player a short guide to Architect Chat channel, rather than having to fiddle with the email forwarding. I've tried this as a test on a character named Quinch PG;
/emailsend "$name" "test" "test"
but I get the error " Email not sent, because these recipients do not exist: PG", so apparently the game parses the spaces as recepient separators. Using it on a single-word character works perfectly, but I'd probably hit a major hitch if I tried using $target for the recepient. -
re: Madisen
Yep - the only mod, actually. Anyway, it's not a problem with usage, but global channel limitations. Specifically, a global channel can only hold 2500 members, whether they're active or not, so once a channel hits that cap, new people can't join, and there's no way to prune the inactive ones, which leads to migration hassles for everyone involved. A general channel doesn't suffer from that limitation, since everyone's already "in" it - it just needs to be added to the chat tab.
