Quote:No I actually agree with your OP, was mostly being sillyNeither of you have been able to provide objection to the moral part of the situation.
I prefer playing and teaming with RP'ing/concept toons by a long shot. Even if they're unorthodox to the point of being counterproductive, it just sets the bar higher. Adapting is what makes this game fun (for me), not cycling through chains of attacks. Also forcing powers into your existing concept is quite fun, bends the imagination.
My namesake, a Kin Defender, has Repel and actually uses it! -
Quote:Elixir of Life...The character can believe that it's immoral to use a lifeless body in that manner, which is also the reason said character cannot perform a "restore to life" ability. Moral objection.
Also, which rez power allows you to control the player you rezzed?
that vomitting is coming, and they're powerless to stop it -
Don't forget /Cold, if you skip the three ally-onlies it gives a bit of wiggle room for more useful powers without sacrificing a huge amount.

Quote:This is ALL I want from any future boosterOh that's easy.
Ouroboros booster. Gimme access to those costume parts so we can make Menders of our own for when the Coming Storm gets here.

I have a Mender Quaver who really needs a more obvious costume so people stop asking (she's a Widow too, not exactly the most direct look). -
Quote:I completely agree, if you take a power that can only work on others and then take offense when someone asks for it then you may as well have taken something from the Presence Pool. But see, no problem is there, because you even say you told them you had no SB.
I've been fine with people not having SB.
I've been fine with those with SB not passing it out every two minutes.
What I don't care for are the ones who take it, have team members sucking wind, and don't use it at all.
It's even worse when they complain about even being asked to give it. Which if they didnt want to do, they could of not taken. -
Wow that's a lot to change and balance. I would support tanks being given their Taunt clickable power automatically, in addition to Gauntlet; of all the ATs they seem to have the most boring inherent (IMO).
-
I've always thought it had a seaside feel that really needed some Carnie loving...with maybe a fortune teller stall for those who didn't buy the Magic Booster
-
It's no ruder than a scrapper accidentally defeating your Transfusion target before the heal fires >.>
and it's far less rude if it's an emergency Transference..! -

Spotify keeps me sane if I'm on an 8man team, Speed Boost has a strange karmic balance with blues/soul classics. Solo I usually turn game sounds on full to stay careful/alert etc.

Quote:I would have agreed with you before I had my computer doctored. With a reasonably good system it's fast and fun, I use it from habit now with a Shift+ Left mouse click bind. Having said that I find the activation time annoyingly slow, but then I mostly play Kinetics...Teleport, in my experience, has been the most difficulty travel power to work with. Without binds, it can be a bear and even then can it can give you trouble if your experiencing latency issues.

Oh and Repel has saved my squishiness many times (especially solo), and the fact that it arrives early in Kinetics for Defenders can make a nice difference when exemplaring. It takes practice to use I'll grant you, but Repulse for stalkers seems much sillier.
My nomination though is Conditioning for VEATs, it seems barely noticable and doesn't even scale like Vigilance does/(did, depending what changes...so excited..!). -
Go with Sonic Attacks, Siren's Song is perfect for when you want to just stop clicking things for a second. But if you still want to click things you can and the sleep won't break ;D
-
Kinetics/Sonic Defender! Kinetics just for the pure flexibility it allows your build, the potential for noticably helping out a team (with practice it's actually fun too) and 7/9 powers benefit you also. And then /Sonic for the secondary -res effect, the interesting soft control options (compliments Kinetics well, IMO) and the sounds! I never get bored of mine

Quote:Ditto this. Also I don't think Focussed Accuracy is really that good to warrant not slotting at least 1 acc/the accurate healing IOs in Transfusion. You really will not want that to miss as often as it probably will. Besides the acc issues, slotting the +end proc in Transference will actually give your enemies a shot of end, not you. Quirk of the power, and it's a fairly pricey IO to go to waste.I think you sacrificed a lot to get that level of defense.
Also, with your global accuracy and your slotting in fulcrum shift, you better eat a few yellows first, otherwise you're going to be whiffing a lot with less than one SO's worth of accuracy.
Other than that neat concept build.
I'm not that experienced with Corruptors but my main toon is kinetics/sonic Defender, and I just preferred to maximise +recharge and use the many, many inspirations that drop as a result of fast combat instead of 'good' defence bonuses. Each to their own though -
Seems like a lot of work for something that can be reasonably simulated by unlocking the Talsorian blades..?
-
The aegis psi/status resist is MUCH more valuable placed in a toggle, unless you enjoy spamming ID. It stacks on itself (I forget how many times, but you get far more mileage if it's in a toggle or an auto) That said I think defence is the way to go for squishies without mez protection, if you avoid it you don't need to resist it etc.
-
Same here, I think that's one of the most poignant arcs red-side, and one of my faves in the game, well worth the rambling back to Mercy for.
-
Single biggest regret in game...spending about 600k in the tailors trying to get rid of the SG emblem before I realised only editing SG options would do this. I even /bugged it haha!
600k was a LOT back then..! -
Quote:I agree. Until they admitted power customisation was possible (and suggesting they'd get around to the pools eventually) I really hated that Hasten/Superspeed were a part of my concept build but the absolute wrong colour. Now I kinda begrudgingly tolerate them (and Force of Nature too, though the colours are much less intrusive). Here's hoping they get around to it Soon..I'm less bothered by animations and more bothered by the Speed pool's terrible colors. Bright orange flare under your feet while you're running Super Speed, ugh... Ruins the feel of so many visual designs, the way it clashes with everything that is not Fire. Hasten too.
As for animations, I'd love it if the teleport pool had a couple of variations based on the current costume change animations. The lightning-strike especially (!) -
I also want to be able to team with others from different servers. Problem with server transfers is the name situation. My main toon (Quaver) plays on Defiant, but the other EU English-speaking server, Union, doesn't have this name available so I couldn't physically move over there without a forced name change. But I like the Defiant server! I just want to team with a wider variety of players.

Offices and warehouses could work for Natural Origins.
-
I like this idea. Being a Science Origin, I really feel at home in the Crey labs. Perhaps the bonus could be an increased chance for the apt. Origin enhancements to drop, benefiting toons of that origin slightly more, but everyone can sell them so no one's really missing out.
-
The only thing I can think to add would be to seriously consider working in the Positron's Blast proc in Howl. It seems to go off quite a lot and with enough global recharge Howl becomes quite spammable. Mind you I'm with Kinetics/Sonic so endurance is less of an issue but still something that could work. Also Siren's Song is a very slot-effective sleep, and with practice can really up your solo survivability (rad toggles won't break the sleep). Mass Hypnosis would be easier to use, but Siren's recharges much much quicker so worth thinking about. I wouldn't be without it for Fulcrum Shift.

Quote:I've always thought Ouroboros should be accessible at all levels, with the teleports unlocking as you level up. Levels 1 - 9 could access Atlas, Levels 10 - 19 could access Atlas and Skyway (if they added more etc).To ensure that you suffer the misery of pre-travel power life to -some- extent. ^_^
I agree with the OP, it would be fun to move things along a bit.
