  1. The run animation is designed to look good from behind. Well for female model the huge and male look awful from any direction. Also when the body is doing anything but standing still the neck stretches oddly which IMO looks awful.

    But I seem to recall reading that the various animations in game were done from scratch rather than mapping an actors actual motion. That might be a nice upgrade to see and make the whole thing look better.

    Okay trying Win7 (Build 7100). CoH got to the login screen with the default graphics drivers but the images was badly shown (too bright). Went to Nvidia page and got latest drivers, now it won't get to the login screen. Want to try the 185 drivers to see if that fixes the issue but keep getting sent to the 186 drivers. Where is the 185 downloadable from?

    It isn't a marketing thing. Data transmission/bandwidth is measured in Bits because each bit is a single on/off signal. The digital signal you receive data through is an on/off signal, thus describing how many of those on/off signals you can receive/send in a second is the correct manner. Byte is generally a measurement of storage.

    As for OP, I play three accounts at once over a sub 1MB line.
  4. Are you renaming them before saving them?

    As in you do the recoloring, click next then save straight after?

    Because that always crashes me too. If on the 2nd screen you add a new name (can be same as old name) it doesn't crash and works fine.

  8. This game isn't Marvel though, best off waiting for their MMO and play that to create Marvel characters.

    And I have no idea what your suggestion is about, TBH. Greater Poly counts would be great for all character models and would make all models look better/sexier (I think). But I don't think there is any lack of sexiness on the female model. Be nice if you could drop the breast slider further to create more androgynous models but that is a different issue.

    If you think of it like an Imax Cinema then you would not expect to find it in every zone of the game.
    A more logical approach would be to situate them in existing major enterainment hubs of the city.

    For the Rogue Isles the most sensible would be St. Martial as its already a major entertainment hub and Cap Au Duable as its the most like a downtown CBD and also a media hub.

    For Paragon city I would say that Steel Canyon is a major CBD and thus warrents one and so does Talos Island.

    As a dedicated enterainment zone i think Pocket D is the most logical place to have a neutral one, it should be its own attached shard like the Ski Lodge.

    If you have to have one in the RWZ make it a room in the base rather than out in the zone - hey Rikti, what to kill a load of heroes on one hit? nuke the AE building :P

    Vets who have half a clue about aggro radius should have zero trouble getting to one of those places.

    The MA contact should only contact you once you get to lvl 15.

    CF is huge with little purpose. If you knocked down about a third of it and turned it into a separate PvP zone. The remainder of CF would need a little rejigging but would remain much the same.

    And though it's a different suggestion I've also wanted min/max team sizes, as Sorudo seems to want. Be good for doing a true TF-style arc that requires a team and for solo challenges.

    That was my intention.

    I think they idea of doing it in 'live' missions would be far too easy to exploit, and while it could remove the need for filling to increase spawns it would just bust open the partially shut barn doors once again re the whole farming thing.

    Speaking as a successful dual-box farmer, actually automagically filling a mission with 6-8 man spawns without a 6-8 man team; and then duoing the lot would be a huge advantage for me.

  14. Ah well that wasn't what I was suggestion. Setting the teams size merely for testing spawns, so that as a soloist I can write missions for teams that are still doable, without actually have to have a team to test it.

    Just looked now and it seems to be a different creation system. The one I use you sign up for master account then apply for a trial account which is applied to master account. Totally different to what I just did then to test it.

    Sounds like it could be heat or possibly power. My 2nd PC had same issue and I needed to upgrade PSU (well swap out with one that worked better).

    If it is whole machine I'd suggest making sure the air flow inside is easy (for GPU & CPU) so neither will overheat.

    For power try swapping the PSU out for something with a gretaer Wattage output rating eg 350w to 600w.

    Two things:

    1)Hes a villain so getting to AP would be difficult.

    2)I would have thought that by now you might have realised that telling everyone who leaves that you will see them in an issue or two while possibly true is not the best way to comment on one of these threads. With or without smilie. As it just causes said threads to degenerate rapidly into either spam or flame war. Please don't or do it through PM.

  25. I'd like an option to be added to advanced mission details that allow you to set a short timer, plus maybe ambushes for that timer that can be activated after completing an existing objective.

    Eg

    Objective: Plant Bomb

    Objective Added (popup like salvage found)

    Objective: Escape before detonation

    It would be nice if some conclusions other than mission fail could be added too. A debtless defeat (eg like Hess TF ending) would be nice too.

    Specifically want this for an arc where I have to defeat a boss. I want the boss to either set a self destruct sequence going or summon in his allies when you defeat him making the mission harder without using near impossible custom bosses.
