I went with B soley because of that little "glow" note. Glowing pieces=awesome
. I think the pattern from C fits "retro space" better though, and I see easy potential to make that glow as well. If not the channels/lines of the suit then the rings. The rings glowing would be something I'd bet would turn out super popular, and I know "rings" is what the playersummit co-designers really wanted to see. A is much more versatile, being able to work as exterminator/ghostbuster or whatever, but with an unexplored theme like retro sci-fi I think highly detailed/limiting factors that contribute well to the theme are ok, so I'd rather see B or C than the genericness of A.
Edit: Oh. And B's texture really reminds me of "Stealth" or Vanguard or something. Making C glow really would be perfect imo -
I like the versatility of C. B does kind of remind me of Thinktank, or Mr Freeze. Not sure what it is about A, but the ventilator/speaker just isn't one I'd use.

I like B. A doesn't really say "retro" or "sci fi" to me, just "tech rocketpack", and very closely resembles the Raptor we already have available. If we only can have one I'd like to see a totally different look, B also fits the theme of the set perfect. C says more actual "rocketship" than pack to me.

Anyone know the name of the yell from Psychic Shockwave? I'm hoping it has a secondary sound that is separate, and that the yell isn't the same as the cimeroran one. Hopefully I'll find out soon

I've found that not many people choose to take the time to head to the boards and post feedback unless it's a negative response for content/changes that upset them enough to, so on the opposite side......
This set is amazing, so I had to make sure to find an official thread and show my appreciation. The wings&tail are stunning, and widely usable for different concepts. The waterfall "cape" is awesome(I could've done without the attached rocks, but it's cool enough I'll stick with it and work it onto characters). The helmet is great, and it's shape/texture is universal enough to also be used for varying concepts(AND the Fire/Cryo gas is colorable. NICE). The Lava&cracked Ice body textures are also very cool. I like the arm idea too, but wish you could "bulk up" both arms instead of just one(I'm a libra, it's not balanced hahaha).
I'd say this set even outdoes Celestial in quality -

First, this really would have gotten more help in the Brute forum. But I'll give my response here anyway;
- I see a lot of sets that look like they were chosen for Fire Resistance. On a fire brute with the powers you chose (Fire Shield, Plasma Shield, Temperature Protection) your resistance to fire is capped as soon as you have all 3 of those powers with basic SOs. So you could pick alternate sets for the powers using the GotAs, unless your primary motive for the set was the recovery.
- Acrobatics on an AE Fire Farmer is worthless, especially since you slotted the steadfast KB IO already. Fire gets Mag10 Hold/Stun/Sleep protection from Fire&Plasma Shield. This also means you can remove both Status Protection IOs in your build and use the slots for other things.
- I have a fire farming Scrapper, and have made a Brute instead. My favorite difference is the AoE Taunt Brutes get. You can farm without it, but it's slower and harder to keep them in melee range.
- Temperature Protection only needs 1 slot to put you at the Fire Resistance cap. Unless you took the power just for the set bonuses those 5 slots would serve a purpose elsewhere.
- Combat Jumping uses very little endurance to begin with. If you change the GotA Def/End/Rech to just Def/Rech you will get .04 more defense from it without it's endurance going up at all.
- Consume only does 30 damage. With the 3 damage IOs you gave it it's only doing 37. It's main purpose is endurance, and even with your setbonuses and procs/globalIOs you will need more, especially with the Fighting and Leadership pools, slotting it for endurancemodification is a much better choice.
- I have no experience with Super Strength, so I can't say much there, but Haymaker and Hurl should at least be 4slotted, I'd say 5 if you are going to slot sets under lv40.
- I also see you don't have Hasten or any Luck of the Gambler IOs slotted(even with so many defense powers offering you the possibility). Foot Stomp is your only AoE I see, farming successfully with it would require very high recharge, so I'd say you should have Hasten AND Luck of the Gamblers. Recharge is also important on a farmer for Rage and Fiery Embrace. Rage seems to have hardly any enhanced recharge at all I just noticed.

What is the name of the Gift Burst CCE from the Winter Pack, for use in chatbox activation? I know to activate a CCE it's /cce [costumenumber] cc[CCEName], but our brutally evil devs can't just make a CCE's commandname the same as it's name in the Costume window
. I looked on the paragonwiki, and have been asking in globals/helpchannel since the pack launched, but still have no answer.
I know it isn't put in the Market because of "character limitations", but that is a REALLY stupid problem. They made the paragonmarket, they should fix it. The devs could at least make their selling-name their activation name, I also had to ask/guess the firework and present emotes(I heard they were added to quickchat, but mine is customized, and no longer receives their updates).

Ok, that's what I was thinking. I'd never used tomax before....omg really?? http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...byssal_Mending 1.96 heal on a 30sec recharge? Is that some form of scaling number I don't recognize? I also just saw that the aoe heal has maxtargets: 7. Does that mean on a team it can hit a couple of it's petfriends, and a teammate, and neglect the MM if it caps before choosing to hit them with it?
I was going to put some IOsets in the pets at lv50 which would affect end to some extent, but yeah I noticed they have end issues at lv27 already. I noticed the Prince more than the tier2s though. Hm, how about slotting them with Resistance for those shields? That seems like it'd be most beneficial to the caster, which is good because of the whole group of me & 6 pets I'm one of the squishiest.

So after.....4 years of playing coh I just got an MM it's tier3 pet for the first time this morning, and it went from worst toon to top10, and now i'm looking over it's build I had come up with for it in Mid's.
Do global IOs like Kismet/Numina affect MM pets? What about standard setbonuses on your character? I also was wondering if it's possible to get "real numbers" for the attacks/buffs of MM pets. I looked at the pet's powerlist on paragonwiki, but their randomlynamed powers just link to a copy of the player-power equivalent, however most powers are available on multiple ATs with varying numbers. Is it possible to see which AT's version of thermal shields a demon gives for instance?
and a bonus question while I'm at it; is it worth throwing one or 2 heal IOs into Summon Demons to buff the Ember's healing powers(I see it accepts them)? -
Hadn't seen this mentioned yet, and can't guarantee it's true for sure of course because it wasn't me(I don't think I've done it anyway)...but I've heard from various people after immediately crafting the incorrect incarnate power a petition sent before slotting it(and hence getting anything from it's creation) can have them undo/fix it for you.

Stupid GM he got from his escalated petition told him the solution was "talk to Montague Castanella and run his story arc to earn this badge", totally ignoring all the detailed info I was sure to have him layout so the worst GM possible could have some insight into our situation.
And on that sidenote; WTF happened to CoH Support?
I also know for a fact that it used to award the entire team. Friends would send me a tell saying they were completing it asking if I wanted it free, I'd join, password, access. -

I wasn't "attached" to WoC(until I just took it
), I just wanted it because it fit the concept. I know it's confuse is extremely lacking, I took it for damage(3 procs, plus interface), not the control. idk what you guys thought of the ice build, but I used to frequently run Mo's with it last summer before incarnate content. A strict Mo leader was afraid to have a mindcontroller on a master, but a mutual friend told them I had a good build and they let me run, and that leader saw for themselves that it didn't die. I'd be a little more cautious now myself lacking Hibernate&the def of Frozen Armor, but the primary/secondary slotting is just about identical to that build.
As for PsiNado breaking sleep...lol. Any team with a size>1 will have sleep broken every time before the gfx even show above the npc's head.
I never considered seeking out a replacement for WoC, it's not that I love PBAoEs, it was just a power in an ancillary I already had decided to take I thought i'd include because it also fit. I'd never re-roll for a pbaoe thing like that, PG is actually my first toon&50 from 2007.
His mind/psi dom clone has a lot more offensive power which was what I wanted, but I still don't think when it gets to 50(from 38ish) it'll become my main, I've gotten used to PG and FF. -

One is in Tough, the other in Afterburner. [EDIT: Sorry I'm wrong. What's slotted in Afterburner are two Blessing of the Zephyr's. I've just never seen this set actually used without the -KB component. I do feel it almost necessary to say that Afterburner is a pretty awful power though. If you're taking it for concept, it's doable, but IMO Super Speed is MUCH more useful in general due to its Stealth, particularly in incarnate content where there is a constant need to run around undetected. Mind Control in particular benefits from stealth due to all the aggroless mezzes, although since you skipped the best of those it may not be quite as easy to draw. One specific capability your Controller is lacking is the ability to run ahead mostly-invisibly in trials like Keyes and confuse the Victorias.]
I doubt you would get completely destroyed with any Mind/FF build. However I also think that you may be short changing the possibilities..
I chose to put the blessings in Afterburner for the setbonuses(they were already on hand from his previous build), and put an Invention: EndRed in fly instead. I've loved this power since my first day with it on beta, now I finally have it on PG. I hated having to "gimp" my traveltime by choosing Fly, and now that's lessened. PG did have SS for stealth last year, it was meh. And I reminded myself when I played him the other day; he has PFF. Plus all his other toggles, he can tank his way through the map instead of stealth. Or (if I was a patient person which I'm not) Mass Hypnotize each mob and walk by with no stealth, since when I thought to check it Mass Hyp's recharge is 12 seconds.
With Interface it's hard to gauge the damage done by powers, but I liked the numbers I was seeing for WoC, and I have to buy 1 last proc still(Oblit and Eradication from ParagonMarket ftw).
Kinda going out of order, but I know the build short changes the possibilities of Mind/FF. He was my first toon back when I joined(week of i11 launch I think). Back then Mind was the only Psychic thing players had available(All the others including VEATs were i12 6months later). I didn't want to be a controller that needed teams to play, I wanted to do good damage. So as I said someone told me earlier, I adjusted my build attempting to "break the AT", disregarding all the mez Mind is known for, slotting for damage and solo-survivability instead.
I'm still shocked about the slotting allybubbles thing. I've been given midsbuilds via the boards and email from people when I was in a Respec-PG mood, and this is literally the first I've heard it suggested in 4 years lol.
Oh and it's perfectly possible to get completely destroyed with a Mind/FF build, my first 2 were proof of that. Here's a hint of it- the very first build had Fly, SJ, TP, and Hasten, before the prereq removal of course, and he was only like lv35 then

One thing I'm wondering is if you convert by type, and throw in a rare, is it possible/common to get a common/uncommon instead of another rare?
Has the estimated droprate for catalysts been mentioned anywhere yet? I'm wondering if they'll drop like the useless temppowers, or be the rarity of getting a numina/lotg globalIO as a drop.
Also(and random) I hate the cooldown timer on AMerits. Devs have widely complained about stockpiled currencies. Gating the spending of them(especially when a great option like this is gonna be released and people have been saving for them) doesn't help the stockpiling issue any.

I already bought a couple of the IOs this week and plan on buying more, but GF I really don't like the stinginess of the rares with that handful for a week once a month system. I'm guessing you've got your handle on what prices sell well. I wish they'd be standardized and thrown onto the market permanently all at once like the uncommons. I can guarantee you they wouldn't sell as bad as the uncommons
. They don't sell low amounts because of the way they were marketed, it's just the content itself.
Some people would probably buy a round of LotG and Numinas every time they rolled a new alt. But if LotG is gone til "Soon"(aka who knows when) then the pack of 10 or so someone might have bought will run out and they can't spend more points to get more. As everyone seems to keep telling Paragon; denying players the right to spend money is never a good idea.

Drop "one" of my KB IOs? There's supposed to only be one, I never slot more than that per toon.
I think I might respec into this one in a couple hours and test it out. Without any IOs he didn't get pwn'd with this build on beta, so hopefully it won't magically be different on live lol. -
People who know me tell me I play PG like a blaster. I used to hate playing him because everything about the powers were lackluster. Then I switched all his ST attacks from mezslotted to damageslotted and he'd never been more fun

I've heard, and see from how much it's avoided in this thread, that Psi mastery must be one of the worst ancillary sets available. But I really want PG to have PsiNado and WoC lol.
I've created several alts/"rerolls" of PG playing with all the different psychic sets available (psy/mental blaster, mind/psi dom, mind/ea dom, psy/kin corr, even a widow). The widow reinforced for me that PsiNado is one of my favorite powers in the game(partly because of the fx), so I want it on my main/original PG. I've wanted WoC on at least one since it came out but never got any of the PGs besides the main(this one) high enough to try it. -
I don't think I've had Confuse in PG's build since like 2009, and I love him. The respec is mainly to get the psi mastery set for concept. I do find enemies getting into melee with him all the time, and the sheer premise of "my mind is so strong you're gonna get yours twisted into knots just for standing near me" is great. I have this build SO'd on beta and have only solo'd some mobs, but it seems ok.
Oh yeah, I also don't have Force Bubble lol, don't think I've had it since early 2010. I only ended up using it at mothership raids, and then leaders changed and people whined about it so it had 0 purpose.
Like I said the whole purpose of the respec is concept. I think I'd enjoy mace mastery summoning a spider on my signature hero less than the ice I'm getting rid of.
Do the remaining defense numbers, combined with the scattered resistance look ok for your average mind controller?
Wow. I just looked at the advanced info of Repulsion Bomb in Mid's. I knew it was mag2 stun, but besides that it's only a 40% chance to stun. No wonder the only things I see get stunned are npcs 20+ lvls lower than me I hit with it for amusement lol. Even then it's very rare. I guess swapping the AA Stun for the Chance for tohit proc would be a fine change then? -
I always hated the ST confuse(while leveling) because you don't get rewards for confused kills. Another perk I found with WoC is that it'll benefit from interface, which happens to have another chance-to-confuse to stack since WoC does do damage(although tiny), and also the damage half of the interface proc, to stack with the IOs put into it, hopefully hitting anything that gets near melee hard for me

I prefer defense too, but in my journey of trying to make the character more fun to play I had to sacrifice weave and I traded Ice Armor(god I hate having my main wrapped in that) for the Psi armortoggle. -
I'm finally ready to respec my main, again; PG. The huge change is I'm swapping out the ice ancil for Psi because despite ice being the clear winner #s wise there's no concept, and it makes the character much less fun to play.
1-Contagious Confusion IO; should I put it in Mass Confusion(with the rest of the set) or frankenslot it into World Of Confusion with the other procs?
2-With the Absolute Amazement proc finally being fixed, should I pull a piece out of the 5slotted set in Repulsion Bomb to give it a nice chance to do something extra useful? If so, which of the 5 remaining AA pieces could repulsion afford to lose?
3-Is the s/l near-capped resistance enough to make up for the overall lower defense?

His incarnate powers are Cardiac Radial T4, Barrier Core T4, and Cognitive Radial(T3 for a couple more trials) with a pyronic T3 I plan on changing to Vorpal. That's another question, with all the def from FF should I go core or radial Vorpal?

You only have to run the 10 tips once. Even though the first morality mission will give rewardmerits instead of an alignmentmerit the SSAs will still grant AMerits afterward.
The repeating thing is hard to explain. Basically you can run all of them in 1 day on a freshly aligned character(1-4 right now), then choose one to run again that same day for a total of 5AMerits, then you have to wait a week on that character before it can claim any again.
