Mastermind IO Questions
Procs affect you, not your pets, unless they say "target" instead of "caster" and they are in a power that affects your pets (example: the Performance Shifter proc grants endurance to its TARGET, which if you slot it in, say, Accelerated Metabolism is you and any ally in PBAOE range. example: the kismet grants a tohit bonus to the caster, which is you.)
Set bonuses affect you, period.
Pets do not use any archetype data to base powers off of. They use their own data. City of Data for all the nitty-gritty details: http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/powers/

You can right click on a summon ability, then click info. It'll tell you what it summons, and then give a list of abilities and numbers for the minions. You can do the same with the upgrade abilities as well, BUT the thing to keep in mind there is that it doesn't show updated numbers for enhancements, but enhancements DO effect upgrade powers.
Finally, you'll probably want to toss some endurance reduction onto your second tier demon summons, otherwise they run out of endurance over longer fights once you get their second upgrade power. You CAN slot them for heals, and it will effect both their standard heal and the AoE heal they get later, but most people suggest leaving them unslotted since minions won't use heal powers unless you've taken at least the powers amount of healing in damage.

Ok, that's what I was thinking. I'd never used tomax before....omg really?? http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...byssal_Mending 1.96 heal on a 30sec recharge? Is that some form of scaling number I don't recognize? I also just saw that the aoe heal has maxtargets: 7. Does that mean on a team it can hit a couple of it's petfriends, and a teammate, and neglect the MM if it caps before choosing to hit them with it?
I was going to put some IOsets in the pets at lv50 which would affect end to some extent, but yeah I noticed they have end issues at lv27 already. I noticed the Prince more than the tier2s though. Hm, how about slotting them with Resistance for those shields? That seems like it'd be most beneficial to the caster, which is good because of the whole group of me & 6 pets I'm one of the squishiest .

You can slot resistance, yes. And you'll definitely want to slot your Prince for Endurance redux at or around 32, since it gets even worse with that second set of upgrade powers.
Something to note about the AoE heal is that it goes off every twenty seconds, ready or not, in combat or not.

So after.....4 years of playing coh I just got an MM it's tier3 pet for the first time this morning, and it went from worst toon to top10, and now i'm looking over it's build I had come up with for it in Mid's.
Do global IOs like Kismet/Numina affect MM pets? What about standard setbonuses on your character? I also was wondering if it's possible to get "real numbers" for the attacks/buffs of MM pets. I looked at the pet's powerlist on paragonwiki, but their randomlynamed powers just link to a copy of the player-power equivalent, however most powers are available on multiple ATs with varying numbers. Is it possible to see which AT's version of thermal shields a demon gives for instance?
and a bonus question while I'm at it; is it worth throwing one or 2 heal IOs into Summon Demons to buff the Ember's healing powers(I see it accepts them)?
