I know this is a pretty old post but didn't it used to be Stickied?

Since I'm here, has anyone figured out some good settings for Nvidia? The above worked for me well until GR hit. I've been hit with the flickering while walking in Praetoria. I know some people with this problem may not know what the settings do and these latest posts do a good job of giving a starting off point.

Anyone that has the game running smoothly want to post up what their settings are? Preferably with as much eye candy as possible....

My favorite is the twins. I love that you have Sara's name backwards to reflect that it really is a reflection or it should be.... Plus twins = hot... split personality hot chicks = sometimes still hot!!!

I've been PowerStream on these forums and in game since day 1. BUT all my SG mates call me Bully because the first toon they met me with was Bully the Clown which I only made as a joke but became too fun not to play. One of my SG mates went on a cruise/sight-seing vacation and sent me postcards..... mailed to Bully and family.

Ironically in real life I have been nicknamed Rebel since before I was born. My mom thought it appropo because the doctors sent her home to miscarry me because they could not find a heartbeat and yet here I type....

I say we have a buddy cop dramedy with Patriot Act and Comrade Hero ala Red Heat...

LOL If you saw him you'd never believe me! He is 12, 13 in 3 months. He's the tallest kid on his football team at about 5' 8". It's crazy! I'm a big guy but I am sure he is going to be taller than me.

Thanks for the kind words Crestent. One of the things I have been pushing him to work on is trying to get a little more movement into his drawings. Previously he's done a lot of straight on images and they have been great but started to all look the same. So this was a big change for him and I think he did a good job. But of course I'm a doting father.

Also, dear old dad decided to try out GIMP and see if I could clean the lines up and take a cruddy shot at making some lines.... These are green but I also have them in black... I also saved them as a transparency layer so I can play with colors later. I'm so used to Photoshop at work that GIMP was kind of a pain to get used to but this took me about an hour and a half...


Yes I took that original image above and made these so that's why the lines are nice and crisp. Anyone feel free to tell me what I could do to make them cleaner.

Pretty sure someone posted this during the SDCC BUT I don't mind watching it again and again! I can't wait for this. Though why on Halloween? I may miss it because of parties and what not... I should set the DVR NOW!!!

Aren't character transfers free right now? Or has that ended? I've been busy and haven't gotten to log in. If they are free they give like 20 transfers a day, just transfer to a less populated server.

Okay please keep in mind this is very limited in the costume creator and I can in no way come close to ZNRGY's great work. This was inspired by Z's version of PowerStream and I wish I could be much closer!!!!


I decided to make him a PPD Loyalist because I got this weird Tron vibe and pictured him as a straight laced no gray area cop....

I wish I could have banded legs because I think that would match better with the above rendition. Originally he was going to be Rad/Dark but I ended up fire/dark because fire/ is just so cool. But I did color the powers in blues....

This game requres a game card or credit info regardless. It will not charge your card for the first 30 days if you use a credit card. That's where the free 30 days comes in. Of course it's been a few years so I hope I'm remembering correctly.

I actually have played the last 4 years without sound because my comp took a major FPS hit anytime the sound was up. It was a bad comp, but since I bought a new comp recently I've turned the sound back up and have noticed the same problem with glowies. I know they actually turned the sound down a while back (maybe two years ago) because they were so loud they were heard through walls which caused played to spend time looking in the wrong places.

I know at one point there was a stickied thread here that showed how to exchange sounds with other sounds. I'm not sure if it would be possible to change the glowie sound with something of the players choosing or not but it sure would be nice to change it to a lovely ding or school bell type ring.

I know this doesn't really help but maybe you can find the stickied thread and/or a tech savvy guru will show up! Good luck, I'll be watching this thread!

I was going to come in and post this same thing this morning (OP).... Though I had no crashes at all.

It would make sense that it is somehow tied to the shadows as it doesn't do it at all inside mishes which don't use/have shadows. I haven't played with my settings because I didn't really have an idea where to start but now that we are leaning towards shadows/ambient occlusion, I will mess with it when I get home.

I really like your take on States! I always love your assymetrical designs! I totally understand taking a break and especially to work on something as big as a graphic novel! That's too cool! Keep us updated on your progress!

There's no way in the world that's what he says. I'll let you look it up to guess at what it sounds like he says. Howard Stern has discussed this many times.

The only thing I see is if you only play COH you won't need a 6 core processor. Oh and you will need an OS as well. I've been very happy with my three comps on Win7 64bit.
