plus, apparently you break your pinky toe all the time. Just bandage link it to the toe next to it and you'll be fine to run arround all day =D
And your toon looks like Aquaman's grandpa.
[jk, having fun with the closet NASCAR fan in denial.]

Edited to add:
In other news, there is an even more stupid 'beat a dead horse' debate in MasterMinds as to wether the devs should let them design their own pets so they can have bikini girls with machine guns. Worth a read. -

Quote:Rorschach is a hero, right?...but you're willing to make one of your heroes fall from grace in order to do redside content.
That's even worse than "I'm not a villain."
"I am not a villain, but I'm willing to make one of my heroes do really terrible things so that I can play on redside."
Yeah, falling does sound a lot cooler than just showing up as Henchman 24 in CoV. -

Streaker running across the field.
Seriously, Ink Girl = whatever Dick Butkis was, I think that's a cornerback.
Horvath = Guard or Center.
Core Corridium = Any violent Minnesota Viking from the 1980s or Oakland Raider from the 1970s. -
What? Pardon my ignorance, but we can take a villain to the blue side? Vice versa?
I've always been curious about the red side. I'd take one of mine over to look. -
Good, quick answers, guys. Thanks.
I forgot about how RttC would be affected. I don't know if RttC is as crazy magical as I think it is, possibly just placebo effect, but when I'm being beaten on by yellows, thinking I'm a goner, and I'm at full health on my WP/SS, I'm just amazed.
I think this DB/WP is going to be a favorite. After I get him built up some, I think I'll turn around and make a WP/DB using similar costume and name. Right now, though I love my WPSS, I get tired of being the leader with blappers bouncing around not knowing what pulling is. The defenders aren't blapfenders, don't draw aggro onto them, I can only hold 10.
Ooh, off topic. -

It's true. I didn't want to be the backbone, the "dad" of the group, which takes abuse, everyone depending on. I just wanted to get out and freak out, so I made my WP/DB Tank I'd been wanting into a DB/WP Scrapper.
Besides being able to die constantly and no one think anything of it, pulling aggro all around and being a ******* in general [I actually won't do this, this is sarcasm]...
Is the only change I've really made is losing the inherent taunt and some hp?
[Not posting this in the scrappers, the stereotype being they wouldn't know about tanks. As if I know anything, really.] -
Quote:I look forward to 14 as soon as I get out of Outbreak if not before. The builds I was mentioning, rather than saying they were good, I was just saying that some people are, I guess, hoping someone has Recall Friend or something. I know those with RF love to use it. I'll be 10 feet from them and they'll try to use it.not much, Postagulous. the purpose of this particular thread is to make fun of character builds that you come across in the game. stuff like a stone tank with fly as a travel power. the humor lies in the fact that stone tanks cant use any travel power except teleport when in granite form (which for most people is the sole reason to make a stone tank). or to make fun of someone who did not take their travel power at lvl 14 (because the higher level missions have you running all over the place and sprinting just wont cut it). it's kind of a mean thing to do, but since i'm not a noob it's freaking hysterical.
i know, i'm mean
Didn't know about the granite thing. Only tanks I've tried are a Inv/WM, which I have kind of abandoned, and a WP/SS which I really dig.
I don't consider the thread mean unless why it's funny isn't explained to a noob here trying to learn. I'll revisit this thread so I can learn.
But my only travel power mistake has been taking Super Speed on one of my blasters. Not that SS is bad for everyone, but I suck at it. Flying may be mocked because it's mindless travel, but that's me. Sometimes easy is good. -
Quote:True.I've never played a tank where my travel power made a bit of difference. You're a tank just get to the mish in any fashion that tickles your fancy and tank. It boggles my mind how caught up people can get in min/max builds sometimes, really this game isn't that hard......

Quote:I actually like using Air Sup with any melee*. Gives me two hits as they get back up off the ground. Usually recharged by the time they do. And it looks cool.If I do take Fly...Hover or Air Sup would go unused.
I do not need Air Sup to fill out my attack chain...
*that doesnt' require redraw. -
Not that I'm a master of the blue side, but CoV makes me feel lost. I'm always wondering what isn't the same. I've never taken a villain past 4.

Quote:There were two threads I read when I was planning my WP/SS Tank where they didn't take a travel power until 49. This wasn't the original poster looking for advice, these were the people giving advice. One that is still salvageable... but I was still a bit in awww that people want to Sprint to their missions at that level.
I still copied their data to my spreadsheet. They still took the ASAP powers at the right time. -
I've got a 42 Scrapper on Liberty. I've never been on a mothership raid. How long do they take?
I was thinking if I could get her to 45 I'd want to do Maria Jenkins Arc.
Saturday would be preferable for me. -

WP is great. I have a Claws/wp but haven't played him lately. Made a WP/SS Tank since researching WP led me to the coolness that is.
Claw/WP, IMO, was very easy in the sub-20s and he's just getting better. He heals FAST and can be loaded to take very little damage. I'm loading health though.
You might dig Spin. -
Quote:I"m at work. ITS didn't install Mid's.All anyone need do is click the datalink or copy the chunk to mids. The datachunk and link as listed above are fine. Quit being a doosh,Protector. Here it is again with the long forum stuff working ( took me all of 5 seconds to load that in mids.. big woooo):

Quote:I'm actually realizing that my instincts were better than the advice I had read. I only have three core attacks at level 16 and not taking the one they dissed would cripple me IMO. I don't care if I'm two levs behind on getting the toggles I mostly keep off.Postagulous - I don't want to try to tell you how to play your characters - but a level 2 Tank that is "messed up" is easier to delete and start again (especialy on DXP Weekend) than to try to "save".
Thanks for spelling my name right.
Oh, and what face are you using on that avatar? -
Depending on your play style, there are no bad choices in AR.

[edited to add: I know it's not this weekend, it's the 8th]
I've never been playing COH when they had a double xp weekend, to my knowledge. I'm not sure how much more activity there will be and how much better I'll be to level.
My hopes/plans are to get my level 40 scrapper to 50. This would include a respec trial. And I'd like to do the one that gives you the roman armor, not so much for the armor, which would be cool but I have Valkrie, but it sounds cool.
I'd also like to get my lev 10 tank to 24 and then run a respec trial. I made a mistake at lev 2, if you can believe that, so I'm playing catchup trying to get my core powers. A little frustrating. Hopefully some of that will be in Croatoa.
So, is it going to be a lot busier and what do you guys want to accomplish? -
I can post what my tentative plan, which is actually wrong, but I'm going to respec later to get everything optimized. He's only lv 10 so I'm just playing w/o fretting too much about it.
Pasting from spreadsheet so not much formatting. I also would drop Punch, but it's too late for me. Get fast healing instead, and at 6 pick up Air Sup...that would have helped me more.
See, I'm a little indecive. I don't think CoH must be planned to the nth detail. [that said, I'll use a spreadsheet on him before I respec]
There are obvious ASAP powers. Haymaker, QR, Knockout Blow, Rage and Stomp Foot. Not sure how much Haymaker is ASAP but of all the builds I used to analyze what the consensus on priorities were, it was always taken at 4 80% of the time and 6 20%.

RE: Builds
Nothing wrong with those. Looks good. Style of play is the only thing that would change one thing over another.
I would put stamina off as we have QR, but both is better. Depending on how things are working with QR, I might skip Fitness totally. Though Health might be good. I can just think of other pool things I'd rather have early, fighting.
