I recently got my MA/Inv to 50 and could probably help, but I don't have mids at work.
-
Buy low, sell high.
If you were doing it the other way it would be wrong. -
I can't believe I read this entire troll thread.
Power, bored people are boring people. Go do something. Like lie on the couch and tell your mom you're bored. -
We, after nearly screaming at them, got our blasters to get sufficient distance so the NE couldn't heal off them. They pummeled away at the the nictus as we melee guys stood or hovered around. If a blaster took a step forward, and they did sometimes, the nictus would heal some.
Takes about five minutes to do it.
Also, I might be wrong, but I think there might be only one NE that can heal Rom. Once it was gone, Rom was easy to kill, relatively. But he rezzed and we killed him again really fast that time.
And it was done.
We did fret about tactics for about 40 all total. -
Quote:So, if I understand what you've written...why would they have kb enh able to slot in Air Sup? What would it do?KnockBACK enhancements will only increase the distance that things are hurled away from you laterally. A KnockBACK enhancement will not increase the KnockUP distance. This means that they are horizontal only enhancements. You can still slot KnockBACK enhancements into KnockUP powers, but the enhancements won't "help" your vertical KnockUP distance.
KnockDOWN is merely a fractional (ie. <1.0 MAG) amount of KnockBACK ... typically 0.67-0.75 MAG. -
I could solo. In fact, the place this MA/Inv hit 50 was on the north wall of Cim where the spawn are 10+ on a narrow walkway with a steep drop.
But I apologize for the KB I have now. Crane kick is essential. Tanks usually say, "You take it away form me, you kill it." And usually my intentional punting ground is around the defenders, knocking them away.
I've been with another MA who had Air Sup also. We were flipping and booting people all over the place. Though you need an orange or red or they'll die too soon. And purples you just can't knock around. -
Now, I may be wrong but...
Why are you putting the whole Performance Shifter in Stamina? Two and a normal SO will hit the cap and then some.
Why do you have recharge in Combat Jumping? -
Edited to add: THIS IS A HORRIBLE IDEA. THIS TOON IS NEARLY UNUSABLE IN THIS BUILD. BEWARE MY STUPIDITY.
I've got my MA/Inv at 50 now, and I thought I'd do the second build. At first I was going to fix two issues I thought were bad choices on my part, but then I started thinking that this could be a really fun build.
I want as much knockback and knockdown as possible.
Now, I can always change back to my serious fighter. But I'm putting this out there to see what you guys think. Also, I'm not sure KB has a cap, if not, this could get crazy.
Not in level picking order, I'll work that out when I decide on slotting.
No Thunder K - Leaving in favor of Fight's Kick which has KB.
Storm K - need for damage. No KB.
Focus Chi - need my Buildup
Crane Kick - load until kb cap
Dragon - load until kb cap.
Eagle - need for damage.
Pools
Flight - Air Sup - slot for KB, which works on KD I assume. What knock them higher?
Flight - Fly - Commuting.
Fighting - Kick - slot for KB
Fighting - Tough, Weave
Fitness Path - Something, Health, Stamina
Speed - Hasten OR Leaping - Combat Jumping
Ancil
Focus Acc OR Torrent [Cone KB, LOL]
Inv Secondary
RPD, TI, DP, Uy, Inv, TH - have nothing to do with KB/KD.
So, all total I have 5 KB attacks IF I choose Torrent over Focus Acc. I really feel Focus Acc was helping me, but to keep in my theme I need Torrent. But I don't feel like wasting slots with Acc all over the place.
That's all 24 powers. Are there better/more ways of KB. I really want to punt the living dog dirt outta everything I can.
Thanks for reading/commenting, and do remember this is a second build, not a respec. I can always come back from this at will. -
After you said it was hard, I had to. Though the actual Eagle's Claw that turned me 50 was done on the beach. I did a screenshot. Disappointing that the text wasn't there and only the white light fountain.

I'll show up on Tuesday with Betty Forever, 23 currently.
Is there a limit to how low lev will be accepted? [I would say, within reason, but I'm not sure if, say, 8 would be w/i reason.] -
Quote:I'm just being silly. DA is the only primary I could think that has a mild religious fervor about it. Well, stone, but that's different.I'd be happy to offer opinions on DA if asked; the OP had already decided that WP or Invuln are most appropriate for concept, and the choice is between those two.
[hell, it sounds like I'm trolling] -
Both are good. Enjoy either.
[I'm surprised the dark armor people haven't come in yet.] -
1. Hell Yeah!! Very fun...oh, I forgot about the combos that bug me.
2. I forgot the question. Had something to do with numbers you can look up.
3. I see no reason not to think so. -
A surprise tanker?
We need Self -Taunt IOs. -
Probably fun.
Try it for 10 levels or so, but then again, that's only 10. And, really, different people like different things. -
Freezewave,
8% isn't all that bad. And I can see fussing that you don't like the technique he's going about to get it, which is all an economics issue, however, you're comparing combat readiness to commute convenience. It's comparing apples and shovels.
It's a game. -
They're already a toon, so I'll take them on a walk around Atlas and kill some people. They figure out their powers pretty quick. And I try not to critique them, even when they've chosen a controller and have no clue what they do.
A good sewer team will show them what who does. Finding a good sewer team is the problem.
If it's "Where's the tailor?" from a level 6, I'll let them know, regardless, but I'll also tell them it doesn't matter until 20.
Most common question for me is, "How did you do that?" Never tell, in fact, do /e alakazamreact. -
Quote:I dunno, but I think my SS is 103 mph and my fly is 53.There is a harware issue with traveling over (something like) 92 mi/hr. So they limit it so as to avoid bugs.
I do get an occasional chop when running in cities.
I think I Have both double slotted w two lev 45 or 50 SOs. I'm not at home so I can't check. -
Quote:Leveled Ink Girl, MA/Inv Scrapper, Liberty, to 50 last night around 11pm. Did the Cim north wall and while I did run out of end twice, I never died.Take on the Cim wall. If you're good, no prob. If you're not, you'll know what you need to improve in your build.
Kick surgeon, back off. Surgeon won't follow so get back to him and kill him. Use terrain to space the 10+ out. Flight was key.
Much thanks to everyone. -
I haven't seen, or haven't paid attention to, a fire, ice, or electric sheild scrapper. Are there redraw issues? Two handed attacks...I can't imagine them being done with the shield there.
-
I'm not sure in that instance, but you're on the right tract if there is a solve. I know that some female heads can have their bald head push through a hat.
Narrow shoulders is probably not what you're shooting for. -
-
I got a lev 41 Scrapper MA/Inv up to level 47. Then last night doing ITF, I have only one block left until 50.
I am, also, about to drop dead from lack of sleep. Last night's ITF went to 1:40am. I wake up at 5:30. I think I stayed up til 3 Friday night, but no biggie as I could sleep in on Saturday.
[I actually took Friday off. Sure, took the daughter to the zoo, but I was on before, after, and as mentioned before, until 3] -
Quote:It's important to face the squishies, or at least glance at them. It breaks my heart to see our defender slapping at a red, mainly because I need the heals. If I were to sit there, I'd be KBing spawns back into the squishies. That doesn't make much sense.
Which is probably why I prefer to be off that chart bouncing between the two spawns northeast or northwest of this chart. The tank can't go over there without dragging his flock. Then you can KB [double SO slotted] the pest far behind the defender and kick his teeth out.
If the blasters have trouble, they should jump over the tank and get back to work.
