Quote:Third paragraph.Post, this topic is about why a person deleted their Kheldian, not about what they plan on doing with their Kheldian.
You specifically mentioned people having trouble with PBs. I thought I'd share. Sorry.
Edited to Add: I thought Shadow Cloak had a 60 second duration, that's why I went with Stealth. The mistake is easy to live with. Besides, around the middle 30s I'll do a second build. -
I just hit fifty two days after double XP weekend with a MA/Inv scrapper named Ink Girl. My first Kheld I rolled was a PB and I love the flight and then the nova but it just wasn't working too well for me.
Then I rolled a Warshade. The tp right off the bat was great. I'd never had tp before and I used it like a madman. Baddies getting too close, hold alt and click [added the bind] and i'm behind them still firing. This was great when fighting in the sewers with a team. I'd get aggro due to my damage and have to zap myself to a ledge, etc.
The Peacebringer got deleted. I only keep around 10-15 toons around at once.
My WS has been on plenty of missions. I'll usually start by tping slow team members to the door. I'll announce "I can dish it out, but I can't take it" when in nova. And I've had people polite enough to announce a quantum we were coming up on so I could hide.
I'm thinking of keeping Dwarf totally unslotted and making nova a god of death. She's at lev 12 and just took stealth and will take SS to get invisibility. With the renamed recall friend, I can really help my team out. And the more I help them, the more they want to protect and heal me while I rain death all around. It's a good pattern, the more help to me, the more help to them, whether that's something simple like tp or, usually, dishing as much damage as two scrappers.
I'm taking this WS to 50, but I also have a BS/Regen scrapper and Archery/Electric blaster I'm using. Oh, and my "main toon" Betty Forever on Freedom, a very killer AR.Dev Blaster.
Hmm, I think forgetting Betty was significant there. My main toon is now my WS, Gemini Dream on Freedom.
[And how, this late in the game, was the name of that Moody Blues song not taken?]
I also need to make a human only Warshade. I didn't read the faqs on them yet because when I heard about the concept I thought it was dumb...but it could be very cool. -
Sounds like you know what you're talking about. It's a toss-up. Pick one, or make two toons, one with each.
-
Yeah, man. I want to watch Lost and just check my CoH on the commercial breaks to see if I levved.
-
You put enough recharge reduction into a click power, like Hasten, that it becomes effectively permanent. By holding control and clicking on the power's icon in the tray, it will cycle as soon as it can.
I'm not sure which powers can be turned into perma. Hasten doesn't quite make it, if memory serves, but good enough. -
Do the costumes cost end? The wiki didn't say and I'm keeping Knives of Artemis on.
-
Quote:I sincerely hope it's only minimal FX. I don't think I can stand neon pink SS.Yes it is. Devs have stated that pool powers are next in line, followed by epic powers.
I also agree with the dislike of ice armor spamming. I'll be at Went's and someone will throw ice armor on me. -
This would be great when I'm doing SS with SJ at the same time.
Will others be able to see the FX of mine that I can't? -
Both are good in different ways. I'm happy with my first and only level 50, a MA/Inv.
But regen is cool, I'll do a Kat/Regen or something later as my current scrapper is a DB/WP. -
Had lots of fun. Zombie outbreak right under my team's feet next to the green line. Total freakout.
-
Of course Thunder Kick is lame. It's a level 1 attack. I picked it up as well as Storm Kick because I needed something to bop baddies with while I was under level 8, waiting for Crane Kick.
My 50 doesn't use TK anymore.I do still use Air Sup to buy a little time. It's often more reliable for that than Dragon. Air Sup's numbers aren't bad and generally when they are down you can Crane w/o worrying about kicking them next door.
I don't feel my MA/Inv is as powerful as she could be. But she is what she is.
Endurance has to be managed in one way or another. I think she's capped on Stamina and Phys Perf, but still loads endred where needed. -
Quote:Absolutely true. Activity for the player can increase if they make the effort to meet the people, and on Pinnacle it will be easier to see the same people daily, just like a small town, and not have to mostly have pugs like on Freedom or Virtue.Disagree strongly. You use the word 'activity' but I think you mean 'anonymity' Sure you can pick a more populated server and get all the easy PuGs you like. Does that count as better? Only if you don't care about who you're playing with. However there are plenty of people playing on Pinnacle if you make a teeny tiny bit of effort to get connected to them. Join Global channels, use your friendlist, get in a supergroup. You'll have all the activity you can handle. Don't diss a server just because it doesn't have the kind of brain dead gaming you prefer.
But for sheer activity on the servers, I would think Virtue would have everyone beat. But that doesn't mean personal activity. Just like you get a lot more people saying hello in a small town than you do in NYC.
[I have one toon on Pinnacle, after a recommendation that it's friendly. I was invited to team once my lev 2 started patrolling. But I had made a peacebringer and I've discovered I suck at Pb controls.] -
Quote:Very useful link. Thanks.Since this wasn't answered specifically;
Trick or Treating only works if the player was in a zone with a level appropriate for their current combat level. The following are the appropriate levels for various zones:
Trick or Treat Zones and levels -
Wow, thanks for the information.
The only temp power I got last night, as a treat, was a toggle for looking like a Paragon Protector. Hmm.
This is the first special event, besides double xp weekend, that I've been to. Though I've seen the Elohai [sp?] and the big Jack fighting in Croatoa, I think. Somewhere. And we couldn't get them apart to fight them. -
Now, we're saying build here, not respec. The other two suggested have a travel power before the 40s.
How are you getting to missions/anywhere? Jogging? -
Do.Not.Want.
The only and last hokey concept build I did was a secondary [fortunately not respec] where I maxed a 50 MA for knockback. It was horrible. This looks like fun for a day.
Go ahead if you want. -
I didn't read all of this but did a ctrl-f for Pinn.
If you want activity on the servers, get off pinnacle. It is the equivalent of the smallest of small towns. I am on Liberty and Freedom. Liberty is more serious overall, an older crowd. Freedom, often called Freedumb, is a little looser. Ignore is a wonderful thing to keep from hearing the asinine banter of the people standing 10 feet from one another under Atlas but broadcasting.
After 50 you can make a warshade or peacebringer, which I am finding almost impossible to use with the ability I do my others.
Also, for me at least, I need to get a 50 on Freedom so, during a hard mish, I can do the, "Let me get my 50 Scrapper" and help get the job done.
Oh, and I collect costumes. -
Last night in Brickstown, I joined up with two different ToT teams. One, in particular, killed a ton in one location. Then, the sky turned red and out of the earth right beneath us came zombies and Night Mares and all kinds of crap and about 30 other heroes joined in and we fought for around 20 minutes, or it seemed like it. I was able to do Hasten four or five times.
Did the zombies show up because we did so much damage at one place?
Also, while I was happy fighting with my pug team, another team was lfm for a banner mission. Is that something I'd need to get a contact to do? It was very easy to recruit last night and if I can't find a banner mish I'd like to just start one.
Re the first paragraph. The ToT was good xp, the zombie outbreak was crap xp, but I killed over 100 zombies just myself, picking them off before they reached the core of the fighting. Why is that?
Are there specific cities that you can ToT in? I didn't notice any in SC, and SC was very easy to pick up members for Bricks in.
Last question: I've got two hami costumes, 2 helmets of each kind. A week ago I paid 300k for each to get my fifth costume slot. They're now worth 50k and I can't put them in my vault for storage for when it might go up. I guess I just sell at this low price? -
It's not a travel power, that's for sure, but as go-up tool, yes, its fine.
-
I dunno, I think it's OK when I make a mistake and make two enhancements in the same set that I can sell one I made for 400k for 1.5m.
And this happens more than you'd think. I start doing recipes and then say, "Gah, I've got to do something real." and forget where I was. -
When I got my first 50 last week, I made a warshade and tped all over Outbreak, going roof to roof and then inevitably falling. I was on the other side of a very tall invisible wall not letting me back into the normal play area. I didn't know the /stuck command but sent a message to support but before they got back to me a little less than 10 minutes later, I had figured out how to get out. By using the lame jump pack thing that came in some booster. The invisible wall is high, but not high enough you can't get over it to get stuck.
-
I would exploit it so bad you'd be singing a different song within the week.
-
I'm still definitely in, but will be around an hour late this Tues.
Hopefully won't be a problem finding a team.
