I think Dechs Kaison has the right line of thinking.
Going Rogue has a theme of choices (the choice of going from hero to villain and/or the other way). I would think it reasonable to suspect this will apply to other parts of the game like badges. IMO, if it didn't, then people would line up their badgers, switch, gobble up the badges, then switch back again (sorta like how people organized various farms for badges).
In the end, we will all find out when it gets released. -

I have posted before (post) on what I think the rewards should be. Make them more global so it gives a sense of heroes vs. villains and affects the game in general. Then once more of a PvP crowd, more specific, individual awards can be given out. Anyhow, just my 2 inf.Quote:And a follow up question:

So Masque, based on my PM, would you be able to make a build for my DM/regen scrapper? I looked at the earlier post for GP on his MA/regen, but not sure of the differences due to the primaries, if any. Or should I try to copy that as much as possible?
My other question is what would you do with redside?
I have my widow, but haven't seen much info on a build for that AT. She was built for +rech (~+82%) and runspeed (52mph w/sprint & 72mph w/NR and sprint) and no travel powers since I wanted to avoid suppression issues. And this was more for concept.
Of my corruptors at 50, I had 3 to consider - ice/cold, fire/rad, or son/kin. I have an earth/fire dom, but she is pure generic IOs with no permaDOM. So I would have to start from scratch with her.
I am currently not considering my stalker (DB/nin), brute (SS/EA), MM (bots/storm) or my current project (Bane) for any PvP.

Just tossing my 2 inf in on top of some of the other posters.
First, MM's are an incredible AT to play. I can't wait to roll my 3rd up with I17. I have a 50 thugs/PD MM and she is definitely fun to play, esp. with Gang War. I also have a 50 bots/storm MM, and let the chaos commence. I feel this MM is a bit above my other with the little extras that come with the storm powers. The MM forums below has a lot of guide information and you can get better/more specific information builds from posters there - and especially learning good binds to better control your pets.
Second, regarding groups/teams. All in all, it's been very good and teams don't mind having MM's around (this of course varies wildly from player to player). For me, I have not seen many issues, but I am teaming with a number of friends and we know our styles and such. In PUGs, however, sometimes a player may not like having uncontrolled pets getting additional aggro or all the KB on my /storm MM. I have played long enough to control my pets with the binds and direct my KB against walls and such. -
And demon summoning. The animations are great. I can't wait to make mine on live.

Apparently players put all their eggs in one basket like this IO set and/or didn't consider that this set was OP'd or that MMO games change. There is no way to consider all the possibilities to make a fair compensation for this kind of behavior. The devs have stated the game is balanced around SOs. IOs, let alone sets, are optional. I don't believe in free handouts to players claiming they spent hundreds of hours of play time to make these builds and in reality just copied some build in the forum and took the IOs out their SG bins.
The players that slotted these got their monies worth since these IOs have existed and giving them the bonus. Why would anyone expect this to remain forever in the game?
Lastly, since I like to read the forums, after the initial clamor, a number of players have been posting new builds not dependent on this set. The general response is that little has changed - a few % drops or changes in HP, regen, rech, etc. But nothing drastic. In other words, not a big deal. -

2. Why should he get a refund ? Well he spent time and effort building a character that would use the IOs in good faith.
Not giving a reasonable refund on this and no a respec and the crafting price isn't reasonable compensation its just taking a crap on the work someone put in on their character.
As to it being too powerful ? Well if you have a character that can take 5 movement powers you can trade 4 powers that are redundant and 8 or 12 slots for some defense. If you can do that, it isn't Zypher that is overpowered but your primary or secondary or AT that is badly designed.
1. MMO games change over time. This is not the same game as I1 or I10. So expect changes and plan ahead.
2. Care to prove what someone put in to get these IOs? How are the devs to know how someone didn't some gift from a player that quit and thus getting for free? Or that they got their IOs other ways I pointed out? How do you refund to make fair?

And refund what exactly? What do you refund someone who bought an IO with merits vs. someone who got as random drop/roll vs. someone who paid "WANT IT NOW" prices on the market vs. someone who placed a bid and waited 3 months and got very cheaply on market? -
I don't have any issue with the suggestion. Just a question on the current coloring options. For example on my toons with ice powers, when I put the colors to the purple colors, they become quite a bit less visible.
Does the ELE powers work the same for certain colors? I don't know since I have no ELE toons currently. -

Just to add that with I17 coming out soon, some people maybe holding off starting new toons in the next few weeks.
Also, look to join global channels: Victory Forum (ask mod to be unsilenced after joining) and Victory Badges 2009. There is also Victory Badges, but it looks to be full for now. The global channels will help find teams, S/TFs, or other events going on. -

The Proper Etiquette would be for the person who does not want to be involved in PvP to *stay out of the PvP zone*. To go into a zone that is specifically designed for PvP, and then expect the other players to ignore this just because it inconveniences *you* is rude. This is exactly why I stay out of PvP zones.
For me, the PvP zones are to supposed to cause that uneasiness upon entering - am I going to be attacked? Someone following me? Scanning with the camera, etc. -

Hey all, before the new Posi TF comes out, I would like to run this one more time for my tank to get the badge - so I can say I did it the old fashion way!
I have run this solo before, but with an ice/ice tank, I don't feel like being up to 4AM solo.
So, would a few people like to sign up in running this TF Tuesday 13 Apr? I would prefer to keep this to <4 people total. Any AT and lvl10+.
I can be on between 8 and 815 PM EST on Tuesdays with my toon Tundra Tunder.
