This is the only good solution.

agreed!
Anyhow, I run in to check something or drop something off and have to deal with all this suppression is just as annoying as dismissing/resummoning pets. Virtue/Freedom always seems to have issues like this and then want all the other servers to change just for them. -
Quote:Same here. Sorta tired of Holo Man myself.Opportunity cost notwithstanding, I can't really disagree with this idea.
But, since it has been brought up about using toons from real players and some of the issues (esp. ones with interesting names), could something be done with the toons in AE custom enemies database, like ones from the dev's choice stories? They should be screened to be more playable and balanced. Also, it would be a kick to see a creation running around the city. -

Quote:Been here since 2004, and I see. I have some in fact!I can only go by what I see. As I have remarked in other threads, i am sure there are actually the following, somewheres in the game:
*Hard-hitting, effective and in-demand players who completely skip the Fitness pool.
*People who actually use the Storm pool effectively and well, keeping other players on the team in mind. I have actually been known to leave teams if I see a Stormie on the roster, particularly if the Stormie has one star floating over their head and it relates to this set.
*People who use KB to benefit other players on the team, especially melee types who are actually trying to control/group aggro to keep that same KBer alive.
....I am sure there are some of these out there! I have yet to see an example and I've been here since 2006, but they must be there somewheres -
I would be curious if the devs have something up their sleeves on this. They would know new toons in Praet would not being doing those early missions.

To the OP, welcome back to the game. Hope you enjoy GR.
Server maintenance is mentioned here. As you can see from Oct 2009, it has been changed to once a week. -

Quote:I just finished my DS/dark MM and this was confusing at first (after leveling two other MM's to 50 previously). All in all, more specific pet controlling (yeah, I am looking at you Cold Demonling) and being more mobile in fight is what it took for me. I normally ran +1/+5 as my standard mission diff and was very comfortable with my heal.First: It looks like they've reduced the AoE radius of Twilight Grasp from 20 ft. down to only 10 ft. This cuts the area of the effect down to around 1/5th what it used to be. Combine that with the super long activation time, and the fact that it can miss, and it's really hard (for me at least) to heal anything. My pets keep running out of range while I'm rooted in place. This is the only MM AoE heal that can miss and needs an enemy to work, so reducing the radius makes it almost useless as a heal.
Quote:Second: The recharge time for Dark Servant has been set to 8min 20sec instead of the 4min that everyone else gets. This means that in order to have one out all the time, you need to invest heavily in recharge reduction, thus reducing it's over all effectiveness. If half the slots are devoted to rech redux then there's half as much room for anything else.
That is what I did here with all the various sets that fluffy can take. I would use double/triples with a rech component in them and got it down to just over 4 min. So for a few seconds I am without fluffy - which is no big deal since I paying attention to the fight and recharge for fluffy. -

Have fun all you crazy people! Will look for another time. Off to the Poconos for 3 days.

Quote:Not in any particular order:The difference between an MMO and a single player stand alone is that the world and your character should be constantly growing and changing.
Shadow Shard, CoV, Cim, RCS->RWZ, Oro/Flashback, Inventions, PvP (yeah), new powersets, EATs (H & V), AE, Posi Revamped (more to follow?) and new S/TFs like STF, ITF, LRSF, LGTF, power customization, SSK, Praet zones, side-switching, merged markets, all the others changes I don't feel like typing out, all in the last 6 years?
What more do you want? -
Have you checked Oro flashback missions yet?
I know I have gone back and did the missions for the badges on redside, esp. for PoV badge. They should be there. Are you asking if you need help in the missions? -
Quote:I would guess (keyword) to prevent flooding the market for some big quick inf gain. For example, a particular rare IO recipe has 1000 bidding, but 1 for sale, sale history of 500 mill+ for all last sales. If you could buy a bunch of those, you could drop them on the market in an off hour and get all the highest bidders or don't give a chance for people to change their bids to a lower price. We've never been blocked from spending rewards before, only earning them. I cannot fathom what the reasoning for this move is.
Yes, pure speculation here. -
From what I have seen, the timers are the devs' way to artificially impose an efficiency limit. You will have players that could do the content (great soloing toons/multibox/etc.) all day long and you have casual players that may play once a week. I would guess that the best route to getting these new merits and spending has been figured out or will be soon.
By using these timers, we all are in the same boat as to how fast we can earn/spend. You will have players earning them at the very fastest we can earn/spend, and others at the opposite end. Plus, I haven't seen any indication that these are written in stone and the timers adjusted.
Maybe we are all saying the same thing too in these replies lol! -
Shouldn't have this been in all the contact windows - a warning about being timed? If one is missing, report it so that it can be fixed later on.
Some more specifics would be helpful as to what the issue is. -

And it shows that my coffee hasn't kicked in yet (or that I can spell). I was thinking of the Razer Naga. /slaps forehead.
This thread of a recent Q&A I meant, sorry! -
From what I have seen in beta and in the forums, there are hints that the diff setting reps will be there. It sounds like the devs have a plan for the new GR content to get the most exposure. I would venture a guess they will be added, especially after higher GR zones are added.
As for SG's, from that Razor interview, it sounds like they are working on the SG revamp, or at least for heroes and villains to be in the same. I wouldn't doubt they would consider Praet toons to be part of the mix at the same time or shortly afterwards.
And for the yellow, I agree. Very tough to read! -
Quote:Peter Sellers/Pink Panther movies for numerous examples of this! The target bent over to tie their shoes just as you swung your knife.
Anyhow, I am with Memphis Bill in that AS has been buffed and don't see any evidence this needs to be buffed even more without some kind of balance. We already one shot plenty of mobs with AS (I have a 50 stalker and started a new one for GR).
Does it annoy once in a while? Yes, once in a while. We have had a few "autohit" or remove 95%-similar threads lately, but zero data shown how often this happens. The only bits I have seen are videos by Leo_G showing how fast he defeats mobs. Is missing suddenly a huge problem in the game? Did I miss something? -
Getting some mileage out of these links the last few weeks:
Here you go from BABs on PC and the pools:
Link 1 - I would read that as now that GR is out, we could look forward to more PC once they work out some issues.
Link 2 - For any EATs you may have.
EDIT - I should add the link to the recent Q&A too: thread - they just need time -
Dechs, you make me sad.
This sounds like a great concept I haven't thought about, but I already leveled an ice/ tanker, and I don't repeat sets. KHAAANNN!!!
Good luck on it though it you plan to take one to 50! -

For my 2 inf, I would be very happy with a tailor right by where you start - preferably the city zone rather than tutorial since there are players that skip the tutorial.
So many times in my experience I will find some flaw I missed like make an outfit only to see it doesn't look right running around or forget to recolor a powerset to the same as the other or there is the combat aura on, etc.
Anyhow, it would be nice to fix up those little details rather than later on.
