I know about /hc and /ma, but I tend to avoid the help channel because it's highly dramatic and I can't stand the staggering amount of wrong information which passes for 'help' in there (at least in my server)
I know of the first two but never use Help because I rarely need the help.
I only have the AE channel set for one or two toons because I so rarely need that as well. It's nice to see some chatter by people I know here on the forums, but I rarely interact with them otherwise (for many reasons, not out of snobbery or anything like that), soo....
Some toons I don't have set up on any channels other than athe basics that you get when you first log him or her in. I just don't use channels much.
I'll admit I don't know too much about setting them up, but when I did want to, I was able to piece it together. It does seem to me the system's kind of non-intuitive.

Help I keep an eye on in case someone asks a question I can answer or in case someone is being an *** to people asking legitimate questions. I try to provide what information I have to offer and that's about it. I've given up on trying to actually ask for information over Help, however, because no-one ever answers my questions there, and I have to resort to global channels or otherwise.

I may have been vaguely aware of help channel but I've never used it. I had no knowledge of the others.
