When you crash out, and if you get a crash log dialogue, the most helpful thing you can do for us is to click the "send" button so that we can see the crash log.

If you don't get a crash log, please file a support ticket and list down your system specs and as much information about what you were doing at the time (i.e. spent X hours on the Base editing screen, or X time on the MA editing screen, etc.).

If you're seeing crashes when loading UI elements, please note down how long you've been online and which UI menu triggered the crash. (And again, it's important to include your system specs, graphic card, and graphic card driver info).

Wow, I feel lucky. I have always gotten the "send report" thingy. I hope I do not have to ever do this...I am old and not very computer savvy. It wasn't long ago when I needed the neighbor kid to show me how to turn the darn computer on.

That being said I would like to know if anyone else has had issues with Ventrillo not working after downloading the patch for I15 to go live. I finished the download, logged in and no talky on vent. I could hear but not talk. Had no issues prior to this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  3. I have a crab named "Granny Longlegs" who joined Arachnos for the medical benefits when she found out how bad medicare/caid was.

I was going to make a plant/thorns Dom called "The Sod Father" but after seeing that set played by a friend for a bit I decided to go with Plant/fire and call him "Timber Cinder".

Mr. Brownstone (stone/fire brute) is one of my very first toons and still one of my favorite names along with "The Earl of Pimpwich" who is named after an intern on a local sports talk radio show..I love that name But my new favorite is waiting for I16 and power colorization WeeWee The Ice Troll

One area of speculation based on the fundamental characteristics of how levels and money is decided, makes it sensible that one penalty that may exist for switching sides is a reduction back to level 1 and loss of all money. This is sensible when you think about what the levels are called and implied, for heroes levels are security levels (aka how much they establishment trusts you). It would not make sense for a villain who has become very notorious to immediately have the security level of one who has contributed to society as a pure blue-side. Same with money, money on hero side is Influence, (aka how much influence you have upon people based on actions), villains have infamy (how infamous they have become), if a villain goes blueside, then they may have to prove themselves as a good character. This system would make the switch a Pain, but yet still keep things flexible. And the process itself for redemption and falling from grace would be sensible that it would be very difficult and tough, such that maybe only high level char's can go through process of alignment change.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I would have to disagree with this assessment. From my understanding of what has been put forth by the devs, there will be a progression bar/wheel/whatever that leads to switching sides. If one was an evil doer, one would have to run missions that would move the bar/wheel/whatever to the blue side. This would be the equivalent of building the establishments trust in you. The key will be how much trust has to be built (how long it takes to move the bar).

By busting a high level character down to level one, you will do the complete opposite of what you propose. What you call "difficult and tough" most people will call a "penalty". I would rather take that penalty on a level 5 character than on a level 50.

I think there will be a sensible process to switching sides. You will have to work for it but it will not cost you all the work you have already done. Again, this is all based on my understanding of what I have read and none of what I have read has had a lot of concrete anything in it so far. My understanding may be completely flawed and you might be right, but I hope not. We just don't know till the devs tell us more and I eagerly await the calendar turning to July so I can start looking for another nugget of info on anything...GR...I16...Dbl XP weekend....GIVE ME SOMETHING YOU INFO/CRACK HORDING DEVS...

Its the 'sister site' to Paragon wiki so you Login through the Titan Key.

Set-up with some help from the Virtueverse folks, but meant for the whole game, including the EU.

Well isn't that spiffy ...thanks for the info Cat, I will have to find some time to add some entries. One of these days I will have an original idea.
  6. All of my villains and all but one of my heroes would be against registration. My hero sg is the Vengeance Imperium and is made up of toons that skirt the boudaries of the law...they would never register...except for maybe T-54 (a russian mace/shield tank) who is already a lackey for the russian government.

A lot of my heroes and some of my vill bios are written as files from the Freedom Phalanx or Vanguard computers with commentary by signature characters detailing their issues/problems with the tactics of my heroes and the dangers posed by my villains. They are not "registered" but the powers that be are keeping tabs on them.

I always thought it would be kinda cool to put together a marvel universe A-Z style collection where everybody gets to write a one page "Vanguard File" on themselves...but I can imagine that running off the tracks pretty quickly...much like my post has.

Bottom line...no registration for my toons.

    Issue 16

All I know is I have been waiting for 3 years to make WeeWee the Ice Troll and now that I will be able to properly color all his Ice powers yellow my dream can become a reality

Unless, of course, that is "not using power customization as intended"

ahhhh...well that makes loads of sense...for future reference all things computer related need to be explained to me as if you are teaching a 10 year old...wait...make that a 6 year old. I appreciate the patience and the help. I will use that...someday.

Looks like this in a post:

    <font class="small">Code:[/color]<hr /><pre>link</pre><hr />

The 13643631 comes from your post number.

You need the Number argument to find the thread at minimum. If that's all you put in the link it'll take people to the top of the thread. The Search parameter takes them directly to your post.

oooookay...well that certainly seems....simple let me see if my printer has enough ink to print that line of gibberish out so I can reference it. I honestly do not know how folks work with that stuff all day...it all runs together to me. I am going back outside and playing in the dirt for a living...but I really do appreciate the lesson
  10. Hi to both Az's sent my email to ya...I would love to help with some of the PUG's the week before...unfortunately my time will be limited...I am a safety manager on a job running giant Tonka toys and the weather has our job waaay behind so on good days we run 12 hours. I am gone at 6 am and home about 8:30 PM during the week if it rains I am home early. That leaves me an hour and a half or so after I clean up to play but I am all in when I can be.

As far as Vill side stuff, I have not seen it mentioned but it is pretty easy to take some new people out and get all the GM's (maybe not the Flyer) on Red side...we have done that several times in our VG's

When I get the list of events I will let you know what else I can help with. I have 2 accounts 8-50's (7 red 1 blue) around 36 toons total on Triumph (probably 2/3 red side) so I should have something at most any level to lend a hand for PUG's and whatever else.
  11. Doh....too many Az's... ...would love to help..please see post in other thread...if some one would like to teach a class on links I could then link my other post but I am computer stupid and have no clue how to do that
  12. Hello all...I have been floating around Triumph for 3 years or so now (mostly red side) and like this idea you have going...forgive me if I missed this info in the previous 7 pages but are you doing this simultaneously on both blue and red sides?? at different times each side?

I would like to help get the word out and would be more than willing to help with anything...I am a bit of a jack of all trades master of none and could assist on most things except PvP which I havent touched since it they did terrible things to it.
  13. I have been knocking this idea around for a while and my limited search-fu abilities could not find anything. I am far from tech savvy and have no knowledge whether what I would like to see would even be possible, but here it goes:

Is there any way possible that subscribers could some day have song slots for their boom boxes instead on generic techno noise?

I imaginge this as a joint venture, say between Paragon Studios and I-tunes for example. A CoX subscriber would pay "x" dollars to exchange their techno elevator music for possibly 10 music slots. Once the slots are available there would be a link to a CoX I-tunes menu where there is a catalog of songs (likely PG 13 rated for content) that can be downloaded as your boom box "playlist". We would likely have to pay I-tune a dollar a song for the downloads.

While in game the song from your boom box could only be heard for something like a 15' radius from your boom box. Customization is such a hallmark of this game that I feel having a "theme" song or set list for our characters would really add to the experience, not to mention making the "stand around and wait for the guy leveling/crafting" dance parties a little more entertaining.

Am I alone in this?? As I stated above I am lacking any smarts when it comes to what the servers, game client, whatever I should be talking about, can actually do and not do. I will greatly appreciate a patient explanation as to why I am nuts and this could never happen. Thanks!

    building lab

Holy *^#$&amp;*!!! You can stack down from the ceiling!?!?! I was just getting the hang of stacking with safes and floor tiles...this could end badly...regular team mates already tired of me constantly building the last few weeks...toons feeling neglected...wife REALLY tired of me crawling to bed at 3 am...please...please no more
  15. While at home: "AFK dog ripping up linoleum floor..." I really tried to like that dog.

While working out of town: "AFK, camper might be getting blown over..." gotta love remote construction sites
  16. Thanks Astra...PM sent =]
  17. First, I am not trying to highjack DJKyo's thread but this seemed to be the hottest Noob thread going and I have some questions too.

I have been playing for 3 years and have been a casual base designer for a couple of different bases. While I think they look good, I tend to make them functional...deck them out with some nice decor and leave them be for a loooong time. After seeing some of the screen shots posted in this part of the forums I am stunned by the level of creativity and it has made me want to get better at this base building thing and I could use some help from the pros.

So, could someone tell me what is the best item to use as a floor? What can you use that you cannot see through from the bottom??

Where do you find or how do you get the statues (in particular of the man with his arms out) and the railings that look like bars that I have seen in some of the photos?

The Vill base I am builder for is pretty extensive and would take a lot to redesign so I am learning some new stuff in our hero base which is pretty bare bones as far as decorations go.
I play on Triumph and would greatly appreciate if some one had the time to look at what I have so far or had some hints to pass along.

    Thanks...Papa Slade
  18. I dread posting in this thread because I know I will have a grammar error somewhere, but here it goes anyway.

I think people also need to remember that the character limit may cause some authors to be a little less strict than they would like. When I run up against the character limit, and cannot edit without losing the feel of the story, I will ocassionally drop some apostrophes ("dont" instead of "don't") to make it all fit. I know that does not account for serious offenders but can account for a lot of small errors that people should not have their ratings penalized for.

I have not been hit with the grammar bat yet but my stuff only has around 15 plays so far. So if anyone is looking for grammar mistakes to smack down try:

    Levantera's Lost Stuff (Vol. 1 &amp; 2)

Sorry, I do not have the arc #'s. I am at work and was not prepared for a shameless plug. Just search TMARC for authors from Triumph and hack away at my grammar.

    As for my own:

    1. Animal Spirit Control (Controllers/Dominators) - I was thinking that an Animal set for MMs might be good, but it doesn't really sound too Mastermind-like to be the evil ruler of a band of critters. Although I do like the idea of a squirrel version of Gang War. Anyway, I reworked it into a possible Controller powerset. Most of the controls would work like temporary pet summons. You want to hold someone, you activate the power "Bear Hug" and it holds the enemy with a ghostly-green image of a bear embracing them. You want to disorient someone, so you summon the spirits of birds to constantly wizz about their head. Stuff like that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ok...now this has potential...Mako's patrons already have this to a certain extent. But Bear hug for your single target hold, octopus for multiple target hold, a spirit cobra that does toxic damage, you could have a spirit swarm as a tier one toxic attack, a spirit electric eel...the possibilities are endless and as "spirit animals" when you hit them PETA won't throw a fit

I honestly would like an animal set...(runs to save Noah as character name)
  20. Hello Triumph

I have posted a two part story and would love some feedback from the folks on my favorite/only server.

    Author: Gibraltar (my 2nd account)
Arc Name: Leventera's Lost Stuff Vol. 1 and Vol. 2
    Arc ID: 125597 (vol1) 125602 (vol2)
    Length: Both are meduim
    Morailty: Neutral
Diffuculty Level: Tested solo on challenge lvl one with an energy/dark stalker (did fine) and again with a claws regen scrapper which blew through it. There is at least one boss per mission with min EB's in 2 of them. A group with the dif up should have a pretty fun time. Just do not ignore some of the patrols...you might regret it.
Estimated Time to Play: Scrapper did it in a little over an hour (with a phone call from my wife mixed in) with about 700 tickets to show, but I knew my way around it so could take a bit longer.

I realize there are only two missions per volume but it just would not fit into one MArc...I tweeked a lot of stock groups into customs to fit the story.

I do not want to give too much away but the story basically starts with a mising Citadel and some stolen HVAS's and runs off the tracks from there.

Any and all feedback is always welcome.
  21. Title: Things are tough all over
    Arc ID: 28590
    Creator's Global: Papa Slade
Length: Four Mishes...can be speed run a bit.
Difficulty: Made for toons lvl 15-20, the bosses will be bosses on the lowest challenge settings with the last being a minmum EB. Boost the dif and you get 3 EB's and an AV.

Story: The economy sucks and the superpowered lifestyle does not come cheap. Will you stoop to chasing down some bail jumpers to make extra cash??
