  1. Or Stone Melee / Earth Armor powers, many of which require contact with the ground. That would be tricky when one is floating in the middle of an ocean.

Let's not even think of how fast a chucked stone would travel underwater if everything were to be done right (not very fast at all).

Dear Scrapper in Warburg last night,

Sorry about killing you on the launch pad. I thought I would be able to steal your fully-assembled launch code, but apparently they don't work that way once you select which temp power you want to receive, or the fight took longer than five minutes (which is certainly a possibility). Trying to outrun my Blaster when you knew your T9 was about to crash was commendable, but timed too late. I do feel bad that neither one of us got to launch the rocket, thereby wasting both of our time, so I sincerely apologize.

    Regards,

    Disaster averted

That must be what it feels like when NASA makes a decimal error.

  5. Eh, maybe when they add alternate animations to Dual Pistols, the set might have the right feel to add to other groups. Understandable that it's a bit flashy in its current form for existing Primal Earth groups, but no telling what the future might bring.

The emboldened portion (added by me for emphasis) has never been stated. In fact, I'm pretty sure that you'll see one slot over the course of 10 issues, for a total of 10 slots, with each new slot introducing some sort of content related to the slot. Especially since the 1st slot is called Alpha and the last one is called, of course, Omega.

Issues 19 and 20 will not be the entire Incarnate System, wholesale. They're going to milk it over 10 issues, give or take.
  9. I swear that society is in a state of regression. Pretty soon we'll start to think that women wearing anything less than a full-length dress are being obscene. OMG, I can see her ankles!
  10. I came into the same problem and solo'd until level 20 on /ghide to avoid team invites. Heck, even solo I had to turn off XP in order to avoid outleveling arcs before I got to the moral choice.

I suppose you could team w/out XP enabled to avoid outleveling content, but eventually the team will want to play your missions too... and do you really want a speed-based team glossing over all of the NPC chat and mission briefs/ debriefs?
  11. GLWT.

Not saying it won't happen, but it's a lot easier to do in an indoor auction house than an outdoor area. YMMV.
  12. Thanks for all the wonderful advice everyone. This is exactly the sort of ammo I need to go into Fry's or NewEgg and shop around. Just pricing right now, but probably shopping this weekend/ next week to put everything together.
  13. They get deleted if you go Vigilante too. The fact they can be deleted is by design. However, as you've so perfectly demonstrated, perhaps they should be deleted by the system only.
  14. I think the 1000W supply I have will cover it.

Although the lower end rig does not interest me, I might have to consider the recommendations for his higher-end rig. However, why I would need a mobo with two Ethernet ports is beyond me. I also wish his mobo had triple-channel memory instead of dual-channel.

Does anyone know of the significant differences between the i5s, i7s, 1156nm, and 1366nm designs? This is what is confusing me the most.
  15. Hello all,

I already have a new GTX460, and am looking for a new CPU, mobo, and memory, and have a $500 budget. I'm shopping around right now and am looking at Core i5 or i7 tech, but any advice would be greatly appreciated

Actually, it came off as if you took my OP personally. Although I appreciate the PoV and the information in regards to PERC and Tanker Tuesdays, the tone of your post came off as hostile and defensive.

Please understand that I've been here since well before 2008. Also understand that I don't criticize lightly. Although I personally grew tired at times with some of the idle chat of previous OCRs, they would also at least respond to concerns presented on the forums, such as the concerns in regards to the Party Pack. Many of us aren't asking to responses to fluff so much as responses to player concerns in general.

When I take a look at some of the more recent threads on consternation, I'm hard pressed to see a lot of meaningful interaction with the community. Don't get me wrong; contests are nice and all, but actually communication between players and the OCR could be better.

As for the size of the forum community, it's irrelevant, all things considered. Although few players may actually post on the forums, many people read them, both players/ subscriber and the general public. If that weren't the case, we could very well discuss about any subject we wanted on the forums. However, I think the recent changes to the CHCV forums indicate that people within NCSoft take moderation of the forums with a bit of seriousness.

And although in-game events are always appreciated, to a lot of us, it's old hat, especially Rikti Raids and Zombie Invasions. Certainly, events where OCRs personally attend are infinitely more cool, as you pointed out. Perhaps I've just missed them, to my discredit. If the OCRs are making arrivals to these events, that's a lot of kudos.
