I'd like that. As a mostly soloist, I can't get much use out of Pain on a Corruptor; and the nifty self damage boost secondary effect of Pain isn't much use to a Mastermind.

  4. For the Warriors; I'd make higher level ones that not only have access to powersets like Shields and Dual Blades; I'd create a version that has access to looted/recovered magical weapons with nasty secondary effects ( and cool FX ). Also, Warriors with Willpower would be thematic, and nasty.

I kinda like the Goldbrickers. As for the Family, I've seen some nice ideas in the Suggestions forums on how to buff them for higher levels. Personally, I'd have more Superstrength types due to their 'Dine usage, and have them start using more high tech weapons that they've "acquired". Being criminals, it would be thematic for higher level Family to be armed with a variety of weapons stolen from other factions.

They do. If the problem is server specific I suppose it must lie in the connection between Protector server and the market server.

"Sidekick Tetris", as one dev called it.
  7. As I understand it the problem is halfway fixed. They don't run away in a panic anymore, and they don't avoid the spot where it used to be; but they won't go onto it until it vanishes, either.

If you are talking about what I think you are, as I understand it one of the limits of the system are the attachment points on the character skeleton. These attachment points let the costume part be rendered at the right distance as the body shape changes scales. The temp power jetpacks, jump packs etc get around this by just being linked to the skeleton's "center of mass", which is why they are sunk into the bodies of Huge characters and will levitate next to small, slim characters without touching.

Which is why we don't have normal backpacks yet; to make them work right, they'd need to change the skeleton which is a bigger deal than just coming up with a new cape style.

Yes, the Nullifier Gun Mark 1. it's also cool looking.

  12. Q: Why did the Brute cross the road?

A: He already killed everyone on his side. And if he stops killing, Fury will go down!

Q: Why did the Cimeroran cross the road?

A: Because no one told him about cars. <SQUISH!>

Q: Why did the Wolf Spider cross the road?

A: Ever try to see where you are going while wearing a helmet with no eye holes?

Q: Why did Jurassik cross the road?

A: He needed a new car for his stick.
  13. Q: How many Winter Horde does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: Five. One Frostling to be melted and refrozen into a bulb, one expendable Frostling to do the melting, one Northern Light to be stuffed inside the bulb, yet another Frostling to do the stuffing, and one to screw in the bulb and watch in horror as the lamp short circuits and melts all that hard work.

  14. There are none in Atlas, it's too low. Did you do the Safeguard mission that doing three Radio missions opens up? If you stop a villain from robbing a bank ( when you enter the mission, the bank is a dollar sign on the map ), you'll get a jet pack for the King's Row Safeguard. And a Zero G pack for the Steel Canyon Safeguard and so on.

    They never said that.

I just dont think (HOPE) our devs would really doom us to playing the same stale missions we have already been doing for the past 5 years.
It was mentioned at Hero Con that Heroes, Villains, Vigilantes and Rogues would all have access to Praetoria. It seems rather unlikely to me that that would be so if all you could do there is stand around. Now, I wouldn't be surprised if content was relatively sparse ( at least at first ) compared to a full fledged separate game, and the idea was that you'd do older missions interspersed with the Praetorian stuff. But I really, really doubt the "nothing to do after 1-20" scenario some people have been pushing. A mere normal free Issue brought us Grandeville and enough content for 40-50 after all.

This has been discussed before actually; the answers are "Highly unlikely", and "No". Lifetime subscriptions are mainly about pumping money fast into a cash-desperate game that's just starting up; not one 5+ years old and already paid off. Unless they charged a really unpopular amount, they'd really be costing themselves money in the long term.
  17. Q: How many Rularuu does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: None! The Rularuu see by a mind shattering light from beyond the chasms of space, an unwholesome luminescence from far non-Euclidean realms that no device of Earthly matter could possibly replicate.

Q: How many Cabal does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Three. One to screw it in, another to start shrieking "Witchcraft!", and a third to slap the second upside the head.

Q: How many Redcaps does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: They can't, they keep breaking the bulbs off to jab into people.

The Brusier is better, since he is not only tougher but produces a stronger Noxious Gas cloud.

Now note there is a multiplier depending which tier pet you apply Noxious Gas. The numbers above are based on a tier 2 which has 1.00 multiplier. The tier 1 pets have a 0.75 multiplier. Your tier three bruiser has a 1.25 multiplier. Further reinforcing that Noxious Gas and the bruiser have the best synergy. Using the bruiser your debuffs are 12.5%, 25% & 37.5%.

    *@$/?#~!

Hmmm. Off hand, I'd say my worst pain would be when as a child I tripped, and tried to catch myself on the domed top of a lit gas camping lantern. Hot enough that spit would immediately sizzle on it. I ended up with both hands burned over most of the palms and fingers. The burns weren't objectively speaking too bad; probably not more than first degree and certainly not worse than second, and they healed without scarring. But at the time that just meant that they had more live nerves to tell me how unhappy they were.

I disagree. The different servers have different subcultures, and I think that's useful.

Well, they ARE physically separate clusters of machines. So for one thing, I expect they'd have to buy a new system capable of handling the load of all the existing servers and copy everything there. They'd also lose the advantage that they have right now, when a network or server problem will often take down only some of the servers; instead whenever the One Server went down, the whole game would go down.

I will say I do like free server transfers though.
