If you've never tried for Flashback badges in Ouroboros, and played through the different setting options on arcs (like Smurphy's recommendation for "enemies buffed"), then you have no idea how to make the game more challenging. But you can make it much more challenging than you realize.
And if you say, "I'm not using those cheap tricks," then you're a hypocrite and have no more say here.

Sometimes I wish you could view missions in the AE like in arena matches. I would spend hours just watching stupid people and laughing.

The Super Viewer Booster Pack would sell out so quickly that Paragon Studios would go offline from the network stress of everyone checking Ferrari colors and options.

Why don't free respecs stack?

Because they're ever-so-slightly convex on the top and bottom.

The reward for the missions became the focus, rather than the mission itself.

I feel your pain, Barata. My anecdotal evidence indicates that a vast majority of players focus on rewards. Speed TFs, AE boss missions, go go go. I love to do TFs myself, but I like to do them, not blink twice and then wonder what happened in the past 20 minutes.
Also, especially with the public beta, some people have played content so much on Test that they honestly don't even consider the HUGE population of people that haven't. They just assume everyone's done it because they and all their friends have. And teamspeak/ventrillo doesn't help any.
"Play with similar people" and "form your own team" work, yes, but they're workarounds for the true problem.

With great population comes great login queues.

If you have a freespec and a trial respec and you respec, which one is used first?
[/ QUOTE ]
Pretty sure there are two different mechanics to these. For a freespec, you just type /respec in the chat window, but for an earned respec (or vet respec), you have to go visit a contact I believe.
[/ QUOTE ]
And I think earned respecs (everything but free/recipe repsecs) are used second at the contacts, but I am not totally sure - you can use a freespec at a respec contact like an earned one if you wish to.
[/ QUOTE ]
This was the case the last time I used a freespec. I went to the contact in Galaxy City, did my free respec, and still had my earned ones remaining when I was done.

Yes, heroside is just another "LOL, bring debuffers" TF.

Nothing like the forums to make me feel more worthless. After beating on Reichsmann for an HOUR AND A HALF, our team decided we couldn't win and escaped through our O-portals.
1 tank, 2 scrappers, 2 blasters, 2 controllers, 1 defender. And no debuffers.
The fight included Warwolves, Shivans, HVACs, and the Illusion controller's pets. And many many many deaths.
I wanted to have fun and experience the TF for what it is. Now I'll wait for a consensus strategy and follow the foot outlines and dotted lines on the floor.

I thought this thread would be about a Cimeroran Starbucks, where I could finally use wifi with my /em laptop.

Please, devs, please, I beg you: add capacity to the servers, especially Freedom and Virtue, BEFORE double XP weekend.
We all know what is in store: problems logging in, server instability, Freedom will crash a time or two.
[/ QUOTE ]
More capacity? Servers in flux? Sounds like they need to start plugging in some USB flux capacitors!

Or, to put it another way, you're too NuclearToasty.
Yeah, I can't solo. I constant surprise people with how badly I play this game. Well, any game, really.

Just pretend that I quoted all of Nethergoat's posts in this thread, because there are too many that are too good to copy/paste them all. (Or, I'm too lazy.)
Keep on -goatin'.

Ok, so Zloth is falling a little behind since he doesn't have Issue 14 on there yet, but check out his City of Heroes Updates page.

I like to fly by costume contests, check out the contestants, and award the person =I= think has the best costume some influence. Win-win.
