Life without absorb pain is accomplishable with one simple rule: Avoid people who expect Empaths to be good healers. Alot of these people have no idea.
Heals should be supplementary. People need heals because they compromise their position most of the time. If they didn't compromise their position then they wouldn't be in trouble. Those that can't help but be compromised may need buffs and I say may, because it depends on their build.
Players that don't safeguard themselves with people who are supposed to safeguard others within reasonable limits yet don't, are a recipe for disaster.
I've seen people get hit by PBAoEs that they had no logical business of being in range of, I've seen people split up, breaking LoS and wondering why an empath can't get to everyone with a heal other in a single instance.
There are some really silly, almost swore then, but players who think theyre better than they are and it's always someone else fault when stuff goes wrong.
If it weren't for the lag today I would be doing an MoSTF today without a single buffer, healer, debuffer in the team. Survivability is very much about not being stupid. -
If you use the mortar on its own are you getting the same thing? I'm doubtful but I haven't got a 50 "Hero" Traps yet to test it.

It's easy to send AVs/GMs running around like headless chickens. I just think that, it's a shame I am not on an all blaster team doing something similar to fear kiting.
Try testing combinations of effects by leaving different powers out so you can narrow things down. I believe you do know what all your powers do so I won't go down the road of looking into them myself.
I have no doubts that you have seen this page:

I have 2 builds, 1 build for teams that barely need my buffs and one build for teams that could do with more than one defender or maybe more than three.

The ninja travel toggle is reminiscent of what was my favourite travel in CO so it's good for me.

Quote:How good are the ninja powers? The other booster packs had powers that were pretty useless, they were just fluff. But, if the ninja powers are almost as good as travel powers I think I'll cancel my subscription. Players who pay extra get bonus powers? That's ******** when I am already paying a monthly fee.
If the ninja pack just changed the animation of superspeed and superjump, I would be fine with that
There is an end cost of 0.46 so it really is a travel power that isn't as good as the pool powers and it's doesn't offer the flexibility of the monthly jet pack. Weighed up it's really nothing to get in a flip about. -
Quote:PvP has issues. In PvE, you may have issues. The primary should be used well and all the enemies should be positioned around you to get the most out of it. I often find that with most of my SRs that I may of got to low HP but then for the next minute or so, I don't get hit again, especially with my Kat/SR.Is Super Reflexes bugged or is it just plain useless now?
Reason I ask is I've had a Katana/SR level 50 since around i7 or i8, I've never really cared for the set that much but stuck with it & got it to 50. Now I find that playing the toon in either PvE & PvP just isn't fun anymore when I compare it to the other scrapper sets. Feels like the squishiest of all the Scrapper sets in both PvP & PvE.
PvP mainly because everyones accuracy is so dam high nowadays with the set bonuses etc & the defense/HP given just isn't enough to take an attacking players wave of strong attacks after build up.
PvE it seems like when you are hit once mid mob, you are dead. 1 hit lowers your defense, another hits lowers it again etc etc
I'm tempted to delete it, it would be the first time I've ever deleted a 50 & I'm just really wanting to make sure its not gonna be getting a buff in the next issue nor is it just me who seems to have this problem. -
Quote:Using this link I have ended up buying the american version XDNinja Run power:
Dash through the city with the agility of a ninja! The Ninja Run power is a travel power enabled through the purchase of Super Booster IV: Martial Arts and is available for use at level 4. Use Ninja Run to strike fear in the hearts of your enemies as you increase your run speed and leaping abilities, and the best part? It doesn't use one of your power selections. -
I bought the new Ninja Pack and wish to upgrade the right "game" account, but it's only giving me the choice of upgrading one that I don't even use anymore.

I have 2 ice controllers now. Whether they've got AA or not depends on my likely favoured position and that can be partly determined by my secondary.

Quote:You asked the question:and how come someone is always there waiting to rain on your parade by saying "i knew about it the whole time..we all did! duh!"
what is gained by this?
Am I the only Trapster that took Phase shift and/or slotted Time Bomb?
I answered it. There are or have been numerous techniques that are blindingly obvious and yet only some people think of it though. Or the question is "Why isn't everybody doing it?". Somethings with some people needed to be either conceptually heavyweight or experimented on further than they had been. -
Buffing all the pets and the team is a PitTs but anyway if it's too bad to buff the pets altogether maybe they can fix it so that you could atleast buff them tier by tier.

On some servers I just see that over 50% are controllers, all Fire/Kins, all farming.

I sell any purples. I would have to have some intention that I find irresistable for me to try to place them into my build. Some people produce grand builds with them but I think most people should be realistic. I am more likely to be bored with a character before I min/max that far or be bored with the character having min/maxxed that far. I like some weaknesses. Immortal characters are boring.

Quote:Trip mine stacking and phase shift herding to out of line of sight is a known trick since the beginning.Am I the only Trapster that took Phase shift and/or slotted Time Bomb?
The timing takes pratice, but the 30 secs you have while in phase shift for me is enough time to lay Trip mine > Time bomb > Trip mine > Posion trap. I phase after aggroing as much as I possibly can and allow mobs to bunch up around me. Laying traps in that order pretty much times the end of Phase shift with the detonation of Time bomb. -

Swap Acrobatics for Heightened Senses, build in a good order ie team tank=Willpower Powers asap, Solotank=A decent attack chain in time. Some powers like Indomitable Will are asap powers.

I have an Ice/Cold, Ice/Storm and a DB/SR and as far as a duo between the 3 is concerned well maybe the Ice/Cold wins but ultimately I wouldn't give a damn. I'd be "What is your prefered concept?".

3rechg 3 heal of Dullpain is one thing you didnt do unlike most anybody else and the second thing is that you didn't pick up tough hide asap. Hand clap well, invincible likes enemies close to you, what's going on exactly, do you have attacking enemies close to you?

Quote:Different powersets have different strengths and weaknesses, you know that.Heh, the irony is that I really don't have many difficulties with my Tank as it is, I'm just comparing to other characters.
As an example, I did a mission teamed with a SR Scrapper in which we encountered a tough EB (AE Mission, it was a custom boss). We found HE was bettre able to tank than I was. That stung my Tanky sensibilities. I mean, suddenly I wasn't able to do the job I'm supposed to be able to do. -
I felt like I'd gone back in time. You may have build problems or something gameplay. Possibly it as a set isn't how you imagined it to be.

Something needs to be done to attract more players, when it came to this event it's been pretty underwhelming. Sometimes you can't even scratch together half a team. I must of done this banner event just twice total.
