I was recently in a supermarket and I saw something called New Freedom. Freedom in a box! I said to myself, "What a country!" I bought fifteen of them, with wings and everything. I got "super-maxi" because I wanted as much freedom as possible. I started sending them to my friends in Russia, so they could have some freedom too. Of course, since then I've gotten a bit smarter. Now I only buy StayFree.

At :41 on the trailer you can see someone (Pidge?) wearing what looks a lot like a Green Lantern outfit.
-
And then there's all three 'personal attacks' six slotted when soldiers and commando are only five slotted.

Quote:This has been said several times by others but you don't seem to be getting it. Time Manipulation is NOT a power pool like teleportation. It is a complete powerset like empathy or kinetics. Existing characters will NOT be able to respec into Time Manipulation any more than you can now change your controller from Empathy to Radiation Emission. Here are the links(look at the yellow markup):
In this one see the 3 slot/enchancement choices?

In this one, will Time Manipulation be like TP where there are 3-4 choices and then you get to decide what to slot?

Honestly, I would much prefer option one than the latter...unless they up the slots per character for those characters that them.
And as far as having enough slots, many powers don't gain any benefit from being 'fully slotted.' To use the MM you posted as an example: the range and recharge enhancements slotted in the the equipment powers are a complete waste. -
It probably varies a lot from server to server. On Victory there really is no 'hanging out' at certain locations unless you count the people in Pocket D forming up for trials. If you want to find people there for other things you use the global channels. People do hang out in chat but not at locations.
-
Bring a /poison MM along and you won't even realize he has a regeneration bonus.

Quote:I think of the slots as real estate. The first bar is 'prime locations' and gets the powers that I'll always want to be able to hit with one button.I divided the trays into powertype zones, and when I finish the respect I start to populate then again...
On a related issue I also wish we could 'lock' specific powers when respeccing. On a higher level character chances are that I'll want most of the powers slotted up the way I already have them, so it would be nice to be able to have those frozen during the respec and only change/reslot the powers I want to. -
Yes, this is a question but it contains the implication that there HAS been a change and you're just asking who else has noticed. It's like the old political gotcha question of "Senator, when did you stop beating your wife?"
-
I have done two trials (BAF and Keyes) since the patch and gotten a very rare for each. I could claim (and many people with the same results would) it's because I'm super awesome, but it was really just dumb luck.
-
Oh really? I should read patch notes more thoroughly. That will greatly reduce the annoyance of my arsonist getting himself killed.

Purely in terms of the costume parts I like the Magic booster, especially for the Baron jacket and the Renegade hat. I also like the steampunk pack but it makes me wish the curly hair that comes with the female hat choices was an option without a hat.

Quote:Remember folks, it isn't just the upstanding citizens of Victory that will be able to move to the VIP server. All the subscribers currently on Freedom can go there, too.As for whether Victory will migrate to the VIP server, that remains to be seen. I don't see it happening right away at least, as there's nothing special about this new server except that it's restricted to VIPs.
Plus the non-VIP folks will have such limited communication options that you won't even notice them around unless you actively seek them out. -

Quote:In my experience not knowing what to do will not get you kicked from stuff. As long as you're willing to follow the leader's instructions you should be all right. Also, compared to WoW, CoX doesn't often involve having to use specific tactics in order to get around specific fights. Group composition isn't nearly as important either. Groups can get along just fine without a 'real' tank or healer for most content. Not that those role aren't useful to have, just that there are other ways to build a team.I was mostly worried about being useless in group combat. In WoW, you don't get into a raid group if you don't know what you're doing.
A couple more questions, what's the difference between playing a praetorian(? If that's the right name) and a plain ole hero/villain?
Bases are only for supergroups? Not just individuals?
Is the "sidekick" system any good or used at all?
How's pvp on this game? I haven't seen a good, balanced pvp system in awhile..
I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed by this community so far. Seems like a lot of people are just interested in helping. Big change compared to the other MMOs I've played.
Thanks for all the help so far ^^
The sidekick system works well in it's current form. More often than not it's use by high level characters to down-shift for lower level content (notably the weekly strike targets.) It's a bit less useful for shifting up since lower level characters still won't have access to as many powers.
As for pvp, there are some people who do it, but imo this game is just not well balanced as a pvp game. Victory has a regular pvp 'boot camp' where groups of players will level together and design their builds under the guidance of some veteran players. I really can't speak to the amount and type of pvp that happens on other servers. -
The lower population servers have more of a 'small town' feel to them, there's less people around but they tend to know each other better (newcomers are certainly welcomed though.) A major key to finding groups is to join the Global Channel(s) for your server. Checking the forums for the server in question will probably get you the names of these channels pretty quickly (they are player run and hence don't have standardized names from server to server.)
I will note that finding low level groups can be a bit difficult at times on the low population servers because of the relatively new incarnate content for level 50's. This does seem to be slacking off somewhat with people getting tired of grinding the incarnate trials and playing lower level characters to get away from them.
The link below describes some of the PERCEIVED characteristics of the different servers. Be warned that these descriptions are based on perceptions of the larger community and much of the information is very dated. I play almost exclusively on Victory and doubt that it really has a higher concentration of LGBT or Euro players than average. But then I could be wrong and be the only straight American on the server. It's not something I've bothered asking about.

I have found photographic evidence of one of Neuron's bunnies at work:
It's a bit blurry, but you can clearly tell that rabbit is dynamite. -
Marvel's lawsuit was a joke. A pack of crayons gives people the same (or greater) ability to create a replica of a copyrighted character as the CoH costume designer does.

Can I use the Inquisitor badge as an 'inspiration' and just come in my regular outfit?
-
From the Rogues Gallery 'group' Blast Furnace is specifically stated to be a mutant (as is Frostfire, but you probably have him already as part of the Outcasts.) Mangle and Echidna seem to be mutants from their descriptions.
-
The Center is a mutant, but I don't believe his powers have ever been described other than referring to them as 'non-combat.'

Here are links to the wiki pages for the two badges showing where the mobs for the badges are found:
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Untouchable_Badge
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Gangbuster_Badge
Of special interest is this quote regarding the Gangbuster badge:
Quote:I can state from my own experience that Marcone bosses (of any kind) do NOT count toward the Untouchable badge (the one the OP is specifically interested in.)Note: The badge completion bar will state that you need to Crush 200 Family bosses to earn this badge. Previously, only Marcone bosses counted toward this badge. Currently, Underbosses and Consigliere in Villain zones (not Hero zones) also count. Underbosses and Consigliere in Villain missions are untested. -
Quote:I assume these translated names are designed to screw up Satanic Hamster's notes file.P.P.S. Since I'm bored now, the names of the people who posted above me, translated.
- Vivace - Wemeke
- Ryxx - Lyxz
- Evil Legacy - Ibin Naqeky
- Penny PA - Vanrh VI
- Voodoo Company - Woukuo Dowminh
- Peterbilt - Vafinmarc
- Puce Nonagon - Vugi Ronecor
- Shrike fire - Whrafe geri
PS Inquisitor was the character name I reserved back as part of the pre-order dealie. As to why I picked it then and use it as my @name: It's just cool. And unexpected. -
I posted something like this in the Suggestion Forum a while back:
