Luck of the draw as far as drops on TFs, even though on my last TF (a LGTF) - The blaster was joking that he bet he'd get a flippin Pacing of the Turtle receipe on completion... guess what he got? - we were in hysterics.
I'm sure theres some kind of hidden dynamic going on there deciding what you get , because he was a real suicidal handful that really kept getting in over his head and I worked really hard to keep him alive... for a reward I got a Numina/Recharge... which was nice.

I'd thoroughly recommend anyone who is after purple receipes to grab a Heavy and take a few turrets in RV, I've had many a purply drop that way - also, Tarantula Queen bosses and Bane Executioner bosses are also good for nice salvage, many a Hami Goo, Prophecy and Rikti Alloy have dropped that way.

With 5-10 years of future CoX content planned, I'm hoping NCsoft can tempt you back at some point Razgul.

They've also snatched Mass Effect up as well, Avi Arad (Ex-Marvel bigwig) has the rights and allegedly has plans afoot.
These things are bought, expire, rights re-purchased time and again - I doubt we'll hear much of it again as it plunges into developmental limbo.
As far as a City of Heroes film?... I wouldn't greenlight it if I were a studio-head, an animated series (whether its 2D or CGI) with links and two way traffic to the MMO (cameo spot competitions etc) makes much more sense in my opinion.

A Mystical pack would be a great idea and very popular one.
I like the O.P plus (off the top of my head):

#Mystical rings, amulets. (colour selectable)
#Witches broomsticks (mounted or side-saddle emote) for use with fly/hover.
#"Bampf" disappear reappear emote on teleport
#Mystical debuff curse nuke (some kind of ceremony emote similar to the AoC PoM spellcasting which has a pillar rising up and book pages fluttering about) with demons or entities for dark or white magic varieties.
#Cauldron emote (stirring, adding ingredients, tasting-good reaction/bad reaction, adding ingredients. looped.)
#AoE 'Slow' power causes skeletal hands to thrust up out of ground and grab at ankles aka Evil dead:Medieval dead.
#Staffs, wands and robes of various sorts added as cossie pieces.

Its all incoming, I estimate to be due end of year or the first couple of months of the new year '09.

Sorry it is taken so long but I tried to get NCsoft Europe involved and they were not interested citing IP problems, I tried to get Moderator after Moderator to pass on my proposition to Brian Clayton ( then Head of Marketing) at NCsoft. Some promised to get around to it, to date - nothing.
With the acquisition of I.P (Intellectual Property) of the City of Heroes licence now owned 100% by NCsoft/NCwest there would now be no problem with shared copyright with Cryptic.

I have heard they are not interested in my helping bring you merchandise because they are working on their own range, but to be honest - I wouldn't hold your breath.

Therefore I have transplanted the ideas, changed Icons and Imagery sufficient to skirt the I.P and given them a City of Kittenz 'spin', so if you can make the leap of imagination to an alternative universe where everything is Kittenz - I hope you'll be pleased.
The work is 50-60% done and things like the Mastermind bag are looking spectacular.

I've just torn myself away from the costume creator to post as something has just occurred to me whilt zooming in on a costume piece. The cyborg legs piece is beautifully sculpted and the screenshots just do not do it justice, because as you turn 360' you can see the artificial muscles have been sculpted in 3D to weave in and out of the model and are not as the screenshots hint - just a 2d model with a texture over the top. The leg hinge at the back looks great too.... so, Top Marks that man/woman!.

You seem to be missing the keypoint of what the posts were emphasising GhostRaptor.
I'm not in any way saying the EU.team or community is not active and trying to do all it can for the EU.community - what I am saying is time and again I have had answers from Moderators saying "we can't do this because of funding", and "we would love to do this for you but we have a limited budget".

What I am saying is If NCwest are so keen to centralise, make staff cutbacks and reorganise as an entity concentrating on their western audience then why don't we as a part of that western audience get the same funding for marketing and advertising the game?, why are the EU.forums so devoid of any Dev.interaction (apart from WW), why have (again apart from WW) no Devs attended EU.events?.

These are not recent accusations GhostRaptor.
The EU.market has not been treated the same (by NCsoft) as the U.S market and subscribers cannot but help feel taken for granted in my opinion. That does not mean you don't do well with what you have and do organise.

[EDIT]: With RockJaw and Aero gone (whether or not there is anything left of the Creative Concepts Team) NCwest obviously considered them expendable. I find myself wondering who is going to take on that work? and are NCwest going to help the EU.market in any way as part of their new strategy.
To be honest, considering the impact this has had I find it somewhat distasteful that we haven't had some kind of address from anyone at NCwest HQ explaining why this reorganisation was necessary and reassuring us thus about the future.

To be honest I'm surprised it does any damage whatsoever to PvE/PvP mobs? - I thought the idea was that the packs were not going to contain any powers that give a competitive edge?

...not that I'm complaining, well... not unless I'm on the receiving end of one of those BigBadaBoOoOms!.

For me here personally its a 3/10 for the cossie parts, they are just not cyborg-esque enough. That said the rest of the package is not bad, the emotes look fun - Its certainly better value than the wedding pack.

Balancing my intial fanboy reaction to new CoX stuff™ of "OMG simply must have it!" with whether I am actually going to use any of it... I will say I am going to buy this pack to support the development of further ones.
A cynic would call it a pity-vote but the truth of the matter is I am actually hoping they will get better with each new release pack.
