Checked IMDB, it's still in Development Hell with a provisional slate (release date) in 2010.
And if I had my way, it'd be like Mystery Men re-written by Joss Whedon.
With Nathan Fillion in it.

Nathan Fillion as Statesman or Synapse? 
Or perhaps even Positron? 
In any case this is pretty much still old news but I rather see a CoH movie than a Warcraft movie any day! 
I mean seriously who wants to see another bad disney film any how?

They've also snatched Mass Effect up as well, Avi Arad (Ex-Marvel bigwig) has the rights and allegedly has plans afoot.
These things are bought, expire, rights re-purchased time and again - I doubt we'll hear much of it again as it plunges into developmental limbo.
As far as a City of Heroes film?... I wouldn't greenlight it if I were a studio-head, an animated series (whether its 2D or CGI) with links and two way traffic to the MMO (cameo spot competitions etc) makes much more sense in my opinion.

Personally, I'd rather see Nathan as your average, ordinary, workaday hero, like Apex in the original Top Cow comic books.
The "signature" heroes should do, well, what they do in the game, which is stand around looking pretty (or moody, in the case of Manticore), turning up only during setpieces, and leaving a distinctly more average bunch to sort out a major problem facing Paragon.

Good choice. Abby is just so wonderful it's untrue. Mind you, I wouldn't say no to my Nitoichi being played by the lass that plays Siva. Not that she looks anything like my character, I just think she's awesome.

And let us not ignore the planned silver-screen version of The Sims. If ever a PC game was made for a Hollywood adaptation, this surely has to be it!

A few month ago a heard the director Tom DeSanto got rights to make a City Of Heroes movie and then a TV show, that was 7 june 2007 and all i've heard is
City of Heroes Moves to Hollywood
so i'm wondering is it still going to happen (because if they get it right it could be a great movie.
