If it wasn't for the auction, I'd love to come to this!
As it is...prior commitment. *shrugs*
Sorry. -
People use the e-mail system for things other than spamming? Interesting.
-
That would be awesome...which means it will probably never happen. *sigh* Thanks for the insight, though!
-
Those are awesome, stacker! And your stele wall gave me an idea...
And NinjaPirate...lol at the Zero Room. -
Well, there will be another one of these later this summer for TF Tuesdays, so if you didn't make it in on this one, keep an eye out in the TF Tuesdays thread for the next one.
As it is...we finished in 7:08:05 with a 6-person team: Joe P. Dorkhole (tank extraordinaire), Asylym (master blaster), Delrune (slice & dice scrapper), Koffin Kay (mistress of mayhem), Sheldon Wallace (observer of ceilings) and Snap Play (taster of floors). We originally had a second controller (Stink Bubbles) but he disappeared on us due to uncontrollable rl circumstances.
We took 2 breaks (iirc), one 15-20 minutes break and one one hour long break for dinner. TECHNICALLY I guess you could say we did it in 6 hours.
Thanks a bunch to everyone who came, it was a lot of fun! -
Vorac, myself, and Asylym are all teamed up and ready to go...since Busty, Charlie, and BB had to cut out, we have room for 3 more, pending other people showing up.

Two words: collateral damage.
Things heroes do not want to end up in court for.... -
1, 4, 5, 7, and 8...
Yes yes yes yes yes PLEASE!

I've been trying to figure out ways to "update" an office-type room in one of my bases, and I wanted white walls. I found a good workaround (finally) and will post pics once I'm done if anyone's interested.
And since I noticed a lot of people talking about wanting a stucco option for "office" walls...
Even though it takes a really long time, you can use the Modern Art Frame object (the plain white picture) to simulate white walls by placing them next to each other/slightly overlapping...probably not a good solution for a whole base, but it's pretty good for just a room, like a small medbay or office. -
Option # whatever: stop caring.
It's only a game.
No, really.
If YOU like your MArc...regardless of the ratings system...it's a good MArc. -
No, I can set the Arena to level 5 and it'll exemp everyone who isn't already level 5 or below.
-
I'm parked at Dr. Q and ready to go...we'll start gathering up at 1 pm EST and if people from the first list aren't around by about 1:15 I'll start sending tells to everyone else.

<QR>
I've tried a lot of different scrapper builds, but only 3 have survived long enough (for whatever reason) to still be on my character list after three or four purges...my DB/SR, my Claws/WP, and my MA/SD.
The MA/SD is my favorite right now. It looks cool, it plays cool, it's got higher survivability than I thought it did, and the attacks are literally kickass. Plus, I love that there are so many shields to choose from and so many ways to customize them (even if I do stick with the Dark elemental shield for rp purposes).
It doesn't hurt that for some reason MA/SD makes people go "WTF?", either...I guess it's an unexpected combo? -
This is tomorrow, don't forget to sign up by the deadline (midnight tonight)!
EDIT:
Just realized, might help if I clarify: Signups can be posted or PMed to me here or sent to my new global, @DJKyo. -
I like the idea of getting a regular transport to Faultline. I mean, some people still don't have the GvE Pocket D teleporter, some people don't have SGs/coalitions with telepads, and some people...just prefer not to use them. For whatever reason.
Faultline is one of the best lower-level zones (IMHO) and it deserves a little love, really. -

And as it stands now, there are 22 beacons IIRC, requiring 10 telepads

Actually you need 11 Telepads for the 22 beacons

You are correct and I suck at simple math.
D'oh. -
Thanks for the answer to #1, it was bugging me because I have a small base plot (the 12x12) and am trying to figure out how to place things...and I was like "this would be so much easier if I could put something into that giant empty space that won't take a room!"
As to #2...well, good to know I'm not the only one who has no idea. You'd think they'd jump on fixing that, you know, either by making the teleporter capacity of the big rooms higher or by giving us yet another enormous room that can take 10 telepads. -
This is pure win.
Look at all the people who think so. Just look. Devs, give the people what they want already!
Give us a Big Red Ball! -
Monies are not required, Sapp-just enthusiasm.
Right now, we have the following events, which need volunteers:
1.) Badge Hunt in Mercy and Atlas (Group Fly and/or TP Friend are helpful for this) - I can volunteer Snap Play for Atlas
2.) Pocket D Costume Contest judges-looking for 3 judges to decide the following categories: Best Hero, Best Heroine, Best Villain, Best Villainess, Best Overall Costume
The judges will also be allowed to award prizes at random (for things like Miss/Mr. Congeniality, Most Unique, Most In Need of a Makeover, etc.)
3.) I will run the Intro to PvP after the Badge Hunt, but anyone who wants to help is welcome to come. This will be set at Featherweight (level 5) and will be a 10-minute Free-for-All.
Do we want to do SG Base Tours? I think this was a thing that went over really well at least once before, and it's a fun way to cap off the night.
Also, the MArc thing can be done at the same time as Intro to PvP, because, let's face it, not everyone likes PvP. Hulkers, I have been looking for the arc you suggested. Haven't found it yet but will try again tonight. -
Make sure you sign up by the deadline! Remember, I do not need to know what toons you and your partner will be on, only your global names!

New supergroups get created every day, but some have been around for YEARS, and what do they get for it? Nada!
My idea is simple. Once a SG has been around for over a year, give them the option of having more coalition slots! A lot of the groups I'm in are coalitioned to each other, but we also have other SGs that we would like to coalition to and can't because of not enough slots! It could be as simple as 2 more coalition slots for every year a group has been around or something.
They were able to give us more character slots, so why not this? Any other ideas for rewarding long-term SGs? -
Sorry to bug you guys, but hopefully you have some idea why these things are so:
1.) Why, for the love of Pete (whoever he is!) do we need to have 1-block spaces between every room and it's neighbor? Suppose I have my base entry room, which is two blocks wide, in the middle of the plot. On each side, I have another, larger room, and the connecting hallway. Now there's an empty space which is 4x3 under my entry room (4 across the top, 3 down). Why can't I put a 3x3 room there, since it only needs a hallway to one other room (the base entry portal)? Hope that's not too confusing.
2.) Why the heck do we have TP bays that can FIT a large number of telepads, but that you can only PLACE 4 in? I wanted to use the 3x4 TP bay (hoping to do a hallway with 4 telepads on each side) and was a little ticked to find out that even though the room itself is enormous the number of telepads you're allowed to put in it is way lower than the number you can actually fit. And as it stands now, there are 22 beacons IIRC, requiring 10 telepads...and the largest TP bay size only holds 8. This makes no sense to me.
That may be 3 questions, actually. -
I bet the prestige goes to help pay for collateral damage for all the stuff heroes break in their daily pursuit of justice.
Just sayin'. -
I checked the Wiki before I asked here (because I'd never seen it happen); Wiki says no, Charlie still insists that yes it does. So, I figured I'd bring the question to my fellow RtR-goers. Thanks for the answer!
