Reward Long-Term SGs!

New supergroups get created every day, but some have been around for YEARS, and what do they get for it? Nada!

My idea is simple. Once a SG has been around for over a year, give them the option of having more coalition slots! A lot of the groups I'm in are coalitioned to each other, but we also have other SGs that we would like to coalition to and can't because of not enough slots! It could be as simple as 2 more coalition slots for every year a group has been around or something.

They were able to give us more character slots, so why not this? Any other ideas for rewarding long-term SGs?

City of Heroes taught me that when the world is burning, you don't just stand by and watch, you grab a fire extinguisher and do whatever you can to stop it-even if it's not much at all. Sign the petition to keep City of Heroes alive HERE.

... yet shouldn't long term SGs already have more Prestige banked, generally, and thus be able to afford to do more?

(I'm "eh" on coalition slots. I don't think any of mine have used them up. Having them purchasable via prestige would be fine with me, though.)

Don't get me wrong - there are a lot of things I want to see with bases and SGs, including updates on how to contact SG leaders if you're interested, etc. I just can't think of a "reward" for having an SG around that wouldn't be just as useful to a younger SG. (And many of the ones I'm in have been around since before we had bases.)

... That might actually be it, come to think of it. Do it like an insurance "reward" program. Have extra "stuff" - coalition slots, other things to help administration for SGs to purchase at an SG "store" with Prestige, but give a discount every six months an SG is in existence. (Of course, as mentioned... some of the longer-lived ones won't need the help, having banked prestige that's not being used anyway.)

Not sure right offhand.

Since having a SG for a year isn't any kind of special accomplishment, I don't see a reason to reward it. /unsigned.
