While I certainly won't object if people *want* to run around and grab the explo badges while we're in zones, I'm going to stick with the original plan-anyone can get the explo badges any time; it's a PITA to get teams together for GM hunts.
-
I have to add, any of the archery powers my archery/ice blaster (who is a tiny fairy) uses on GMs.
"How did she fire an arrow bigger than she is?"
"I don't know but it was AWESOME!" -
I love the sound the baseball bat temp power makes...BONK!
Some of the Kinetic Melee attacks make really satisfying THWACK! noises, too. -
-
Oh! Can't forget Synaptic Overload + Gale.
Take the last man standing from one mob, hit with the confuse (which is contagious) and blow him into the next mob. Mayhem ensues.
Priceless! -

I can't be the only one with a few absolute favorite powers in the game. There are some that may not be useful, but they're really, really satisfying to use! My list includes:
Crane Kick
Explosive Arrow
Slug
Frag Grenade
Cosmic Burst
...hmmm...a lot of knockback there... xD
Anyhow, what are some of your favorites? -
Hey all-
I'm considering starting up a once-a-month league to take down all the GMs, both blueside and redside, for the people who need those badges. I know I have a heck of a time getting people together to take out Adamastor or the Arachnos Flier, so I thought this might make it a little easier on badgers like me.
I'd like to know if there's any interest out there in a once-monthly league like that, and if so, what day of the week would be best for everyone? To make it easy to remember (and so we can start it in May) I'm thinking the first (blank) of each month.
It should be noted that I'm unavailable on Mondays (D&D night), Thursdays (my SG's RP night) and Fridays (until after 9 pm EST; I have a show from 7-9.) -

I'm not sure if this goes here or not, but here goes.
The issue I'm seeing with the Admiral Sutter TF is that in the last mission, Air Strikes are able to penetrate through layers of concrete and steel to hit people as they are rezzing in the hospital.
Likewise, Sky Raiders are able to spawn in the hospital and kill people as they rez.
It's becoming a source of utter irritation for me, and I'm wondering if it's just me seeing this as a design flaw, or if other people are having the same issue? -
Happy happy birthday!
<takes over setting up the unlimited cake and drinks stations and hanging the banner>

Quote:It. Was. EPIC. xDReally?
I'd really like to meet one of these.
I mean if Scirocco can succumb to the ghosts of his fears and side with my Sang, then I'd like to meet he foe who has a stronger will than his.
Granted, my team went WTF! when Scirocco then went to lat the beatdown on Ghost Widow. Too bad it didn't last very long.
Welcome to the forums, AIB, and welcome to Protector, Shisui! I'm DJ Kyo (from KJSR.net, Protector's favorite internet radio station, coughcoughplugcough) and if you see a 4-foot-tall fairy running around, it's probably me (or a member of my SG, the Teamsters). Hope to catch you ingame soon! -
So what you're saying is, I should warn you when I'm about to log off, and then people will want to join you. :P
-
Oh, an additional thing I forgot to put earlier (sure me, I've been under a lot of stress lately):
Protectorites have a weird sense of timing. Anyone else noticed this? Every time I'm online PuGging it because my sleep schedule's effed up, and I decide I'm ready to log off, someone starts a TF. It's like they're psychic. They KNOW. O.o
The drama's part of Protector too. It's just a part I choose to ignore. -
Yeah, okay, so I don't post a whole lot on the forums any more. I'm still here. >.>
And I'm not going to derail this into an "I do this, I try to do that" thing either.
Instead, I'd like to point some stuff out that I've noticed in Protector Vigilance.
A lot of people in PV like to start TFs, which is good. A lot of people (myself included) like to run TFs. However, when you try to get a team together to do anything else, it's really difficult, maybe because people are so seriously focused on shards right now.
In a way, I kind of feel like the Incarnate system messed a bunch of stuff up, but that's neither here nor there.
The point is, a lot of people like to do a lot of different things. Sometimes everyone is interested in TFs. Sometimes it's tip missions. Sometimes it's just hanging out. It changes all the time, depending on what kinds of moods people are in. Sometimes you just have to open the /sea window and start sending tells to people.
And for cripes sake use the note system. I can't even tell you how many times I've gotten on a PuG, checked peoples' notes, and realized that I've teamed with most of them before (and so-and-so likes Moulin Rouge, plays a mean defender, stuck with it on an ITF that soured, etc.). I love rediscovering people I've met before. It's freaking awesome.
I started rambling partway through this, but hopefully it still makes sense. O.o -
Ah-HA! THAT'S what that is.
I got an e-mail that said "@COHProtector is now following you on Twitter!" and it confused me because I couldn't figure out who the heck would set up a Twitter account for the whole dang server.
Carry on, good sir! :3 -

A mixture of roleplaying and real ones. Which are which? I dunno. :P My grasp on reality is tenuous at best. -
Did someone says something about TfT?
>.>
<.<
...meh, I still have enough on my plate, but if someone else wanted to take over I wouldn't mind. -
Two characters from 47 to 50, and one from 12 to 42.

A lot of people don't know this, but in 2008, shortly after I began playing CoH, I hit an extremely rough patch in my life. I was incredibly depressed, and actually considered suicide.
One night, I decided to log into City of Heroes for what would have been the very last time, and while passing through Atlas Park, just jumping around and looking at things, I came across a player character sitting on the ground in one of the tinier parks.
I stopped to talk to him and find out what was up, and ended up forging one of the deepest friendships of my life.
The PC I met that night was Steampunk Charlie, and since then, he has helped me become a much happier, healthier, and more whole person. I was proud to be his sidekick, and now I am proud to be his partner at KJSR.net.
