Only quit 2 TFs of the thousands I've done.
Old posi on invincible, I was the tank pre SSK and couldn't handle one minion one on one let alone tank for the team.
I'm allergic to hurricane, it makes me ill, and I told the leader this, and he said try. They had a very good stormie who herded really well with hurricane, they didn't need my tank and I couldn't contribute.
I do quit teams, but at the end of missions unless somebody is either a) a major tool, or b) using me to PL them by recruiting me purely to handle a mission at way higher difficulty than they can. -
Tip - play a stalker and ghost what you can if you want to play a lot of content on one toon, I did every resistance mission that way.
Irritation - missions that are not single player, but require you to talk to somebody in mission, which means no shared completion on teams.
Irritation - my contact's been kidnapped, the mish is bugged, who do I go see to skip it ? contact's not there, GM to sort out. -
Buying cheap nevermelting ice and listing them for 49,999 because some idiot keeps overpaying
-
Quote:Also, unless they've fixed this, make sure you have the mission to craft the lost curing wand at the point you actually craft it. Otherwise takes a GM to sort the mess out.Since you said "mission salvage", I assume you mean the Circle of Thorns Incantation?
If so, as you progress through that arc, you'll recieve four other pieces of Unique salvage, which will be used later to creat a special Temporary Power needed to finish the arc. -
Costume drops were much rarer when they were introduced also, and there was a massive stack of toons built up from launch to I9 that wanted wings.
-
I used the army of smurfs approach. Levelled a few toons up to 10 which can be done pretty fast, then just used them to sell my stuff. With email, there is no requirement for them to be on the same server as the marketeer, but it's faster if you can buy, craft and dump in base storage for the lowbie to remove.
-
I was levelling them to 10 so they could sell stuff for me with a decent number of market slots ...
-
The early I9 market was unrecognisable to people who've arrived long after. I made my first billions by buying common IO recipes at knockdown prices and vendoring them. I made 37M on a set of fairy wings.
One of the best sources of income in the early days before ouro and the market was the donations you'd get from advertising that you had the fortune teller mission available. Many people levelled past it before badges existed so would pay millions to a lowbie who would allow them to tag along. There was no better use for the money, it was just one less costume contest that got held.
Another thing I don't miss was the limit on how much inf you could trade in those days. -
In general, if you go onto the NCsoft site (which takes you into the .eu version) and click the stars and stripes to get the american site, then go into the store, this will work for most things.
-
Quote:Yeah, but when I can spend 20 A-merits and get over 1BN easily, possibly over 2BN by trading them for specific recipes, then buy 4+ purples, I'm not going to spend A-merits on purples. What ultra rare isnt desirable?
Every purple except the damage and chance fors (not including sleep/confuse) is 250-500mil each last 5 sold, atm. That makes A-Merits look very tempting to alot of people. Even more when you can pick what you want and not have luck/bad luck drops.
Me, im still killing things for mine. Seems alot faster than tips, and less expensive than WW. -
Pretty much any permadom can make good use of at least 6 sets of purples (the pet set has different bonuses). With inherent fitness in I19, that would be a stealth pool full of LotG 7.5s. That's a pretty good start.
-
Two things: ultra rare does not mean expensive, ultra rare AND desirable = expensive.
Also compare PvP IOs, I can burn 20 A-merits on a purple, or 30 on a 3BN PvP IO. Until either the PvP IO drops or the purple rises, not worth purchasing purples with A-merits. -
Depends how you did it.
There is a known bug which when you're trying to put an enhancement on sale actually puts a stack of salvage up for the price you tried to list the enhancement. I've fallen foul of this 3 times and had the fees refunded twice by support (I didn't ask the first time, assumed my mistake).
It seems to take effect when you get the "large listing fee" dialog box and click yes on the "do you really want to do this" option. If you click the options to say that you don't want to see the dialog box again, and that you don't want to go through with the transaction, then just list it again, I've never seen this problem manifest itself. -
As other people said, Nosferatu has always run, back in the over-rewarded nictus insurrection days I fought him a few times solo as an EB on my nova form PB (I couldn't do enough damage in dwarf form to kill him).
He often ran all over the map then which was really irritating when you were depending on a limited pool of insps to kill him before they ran out. -
-
This is excellent, only thing missing:
MyCharacter123: is that near atlas park ? -

Titan Os to behave like IOs, they drop at the same level as they do now, but their bonuses are fixed and do not change with your level.
Missions appear on the city map, so for example you know which end of IP your mission is before you zone in so you can go via bricks when it's better.
Offline invites/promotions in supergroups so one man SGs work with only one account.
Better global chat channel admin, so that messages like You were kicked from XYZ channel by @Bad%^&* are actually retained and you get to see them if this happened while you were offline. Also a super moderator rank so a channel's founder can't be booted out of it in a coup unless he passes that baton on.
New sets/proliferation. I have now pretty much made over the course of 6+ years, every powerset combination I want to make, so new sets and proliferation are essential to keep my interest and/or new content.
Chainsaw melee for brutes (can see issues for the stalker port of this)

Had a really frustrating evening with a group of friends doing IVy's missions, trying to share the arc so all of us have the mission.
So we start the arc, IVy gets kidnapped.
We go to see Chen.
He sends us into mission.
The cop at the front will only talk to the team lead, so I talk to him and we complete the mission. All fine so far except ...
No offer to share completion. So that's alright, we disband, go to IVy and of course she's not there, so they can't even complete the mission (so what do you do if it's bugged ?). We have to do the mission separately, really irritating and completely broke the flow of the evening.
Also when we got IVy back, she reappeared fine for the rest of the team but not for me as team leader. Suspect this was because somebody DCd on exit. I had to log out and back in to fix it. -
Don't you fight an aspect of him at the end of the cathedral of pain ?

Quote:If you level locked at 22, couldn't you buy some of the real goodies that come in at 25 ? Also miracle uniques at 20 are possible. I would think rolling is not that good at 21.In my quest to hit the cap again, I have a toon level locked at 21 who is doing tips and getting A-Merits, like you do, and so far I am not rolling anything because I am not sure it is worth the risk to roll.
2 merits for sure will get me a low level stealth proc. I can always use one of those or if I don't need one, I can sell it for a nice chunk of change.
OR
I could get 10 random rolls and hope I get lucky. My question is: Are there enough valuable rares below 20 to make it worth the risk?
Currently my thinking is no, but I could be persuaded by a compelling argument. So what think you? -
With @lili having now left the game, Wednesdays now need something to do. This week I think @Plantatia will be organising a mothership raid on justice. Please bring a 50 if you can, but 35+ is the strict level limit.
There is a sort of vague idea of holding mothership raids every other week with something else in between, but interested in hearing opinions as to what we should do. -
An energy/energy blaster, black, huge afro, lemon yellow suit called Blapsploitation.
In the days when trick arrow defenders weren't valued much, there was one who got teams by calling himself something like T3h ub4r h34lz0r. -
I was a mod on a global channel.
Since I17, I and all the other mods have occasionally randomly been kicked from the channel which is public but silences on join until unsilenced by a mod.
We now believe that there are no mods with active accounts left in the channel, so the channel is effectively dead as it silences on join.
It appears support are unwilling/unable to do anything to help.
There really needs to be some improvement to the management of these channels, as for a bug to be able to completely kill it is silly. We don't think a mod was doing the "random" boots, but if the message "Mr X was kicked from channel Z by Mr Y" was sent as a global tell, so showed up when Mr X logged in if the slash command was used and they were kicked when offline, then we could be certain.
Also the creation of a "Supermod" who could not be kicked by the other mods would allow the creator of a channel to keep control of it. -
Quote:The numbers are quite easy really.I did not know that. Cool. Not super sure how to use those numbers to find people, though. I'm better off with distances from neighborhood markers, etc.
Type /loc, you'll get three numbers back relating to where you are.
The first, if where you're going is a higher number than where you are, you need to go west.
The second, if where you want to go is a higher number than where you are, you need to go up.
The third, if where you want to go is a higher number than where you are, you need to go south.
Sign is important, -3000 is east/down/north from +3000.
