Two-word name? Description of the government?

Then it must be "Totalitarian Statesman."

    Of course they are!

  3. From the reports that I am reading, Gremlins appear to use powers that 1) interrupt the Sleep from Static Field and 2) cause Knockback, which can remove baddies from the aforementioned Static Field so carefully laid down.

Since the Elec AoE Immob does NOT negate Knockback, how does one deal with these issues?

The other question is whether the Gremlins add enough Damage to the mix. It is not uncommon for Controller to not have much damage until lvl 32 and the Pets arrive, but do the Gremlins fill in this gap for the Elec set?

Well, I don't think you put much thought into saying there wasn't much thought put into the assertion that people don't put much thought into...

    *gets dizzy and collapses*
  7. *Keyboard sensors constantly monitor Spouse Aggro levels at the player's residence. As they rise, so does the incidence of "defeat all" missions. As they rise higher, so does the probability of a "cake room" cave for such missions. As the levels begin to redline, the likelihood that the last spawn on the map will be inside a wall goes to 100%.

*As a player's health declines, the random multiplier increases for a "turbo-boost" to enemy attacks. This boost will allow an enemy attack to suddenly move at light speed and thus arrive before the player can finish clicking on a Health inspiration.

*The previously noted "turbo-boost" will also kick in to prevent a player's attack from finishing off a foe before they can land the fatal attack on the player. Keyboard sensors measure the player's blood pressure and the devs earn Frequent Flier Miles for any increase caused by the player reading (before they can even hit the ground), "You cannot use that attack once you have been defeated."

*Use of a Health or Defense inspiration by a Blaster, Controller or other squishy AT results in an immediate 1000% increase of their aggro level, along with the words "SHOOT ME NOW, SHOOT ME NOW" appearing above their heads in 100 point type.

Good Luck with your Elec/Rad! Its a great combo.
Yes, I did, and exploring all the interactions in the Elec set has been a plus for the GR experience. I rolled an Elec/Rad in Praetoria and one in Atlas, and the ride is different for each, but Static Field seems to be a staple once you have it.

I mostly play Controllers, and the Controller section gives some of the best responses to questions you will see anywhere. Local Man in particular carries a lot of weight with me when he speaks, as he is very good at articulating a lot of viewpoints that I either agreed with going in or agreed with once tested in the field. And, of course, anyone who agrees with me is clearly a genius!

If I can add something useful, I will chime in now and again, but the ground is usually covered very well by knowledgeable and friendly Controller type folks from the git-go. Thanks again to you all.

  10. Thanks for the replies. I was hoping this was a different sort of power, since Elec Control has had some interesting ones already at low levels. I shall give SF a whirl.
  11. My Elec/Rad is just about to hit 14, a time when I would otherwise be taking prerequisites to Stamina. I am thinking, however, that with i19 just around the corner that I might save myself from having to respec THIS guy along with all the others. So I will take other powers now, instead of later, and wait for Inherent Stamina Goodness.

So how is Static Field? The description sounds different than your standard AoE Sleep power. Is it useful to take, or another Salt Crystals sort of power?

Back in the Day the Blueshirt PPD officers cowered then ran in terror when walking up upon any baddie. The female Blueshirts were routinely victims of purse-snatching.

With the Minor Revamp of Atlas Park and Kings Row a few issues back, the Blueshirts pretty much vanished. The only Blueshirts I see are in Brickstown (still being menaced by Prisoners) and Lt. Wincott in the Hollows. The rest of those craven slugs are no longer around.

I even rolled an alien liaison to the PPD who was in charge of training Hardsuits to use their new equipment, but got so disgusted with PPD officers fleeing from low level gangbangers that he took to the streets himself. His bio does not make as much sense as it did when Blueshirts abounded.

Back in the Day it was tough because my two heroes were so low they could not fly and had to run everywhere. I kept responding every time I heard someone cry out for help, which got a bit dicey.

But even when playing any of my 50s now, I help the victims. It certainly is a lot easier when a Fireball smokes everyone involved in a flash.

And I absolutely will not leave ANYONE who is crying out for help while being cooked in the green flames of the Circle of Thorns.

As I began to read this thread, my very first thought was, "Oh, poor Steelclaw."

As for me, option #1: Play as I always have, taking Stamina as needed, and just worry about respeccing when i19 appears.

I do NOT like running out of End, and I like being able to fire powers off as fast as they recharge. I am past 20 now with some of my Praetorians, and that is how I am rolling.

    "Dust... wind... dude."

I'm not worried; Bill and Ted will save us all.
  19. As far as I can remember, I and numerous others have requested that the Search mechanism be altered thusly:

    1) A "Looking for More" flag if you are leading a team

    2) Not showing teamed players whom we could not invite, anyway

    3) Un-truncating the list, so you get the entire list of available players on the server.

Instead, the list is now truncated to only show 50 total, teamed players are still shown, leaders are now shown, but who knows if they are LFM...

Is there any hope from the NY show that the devs will make Search useful the way it has been suggested for years??

  21. Melancton Tribute, a fresh lvl 1, could not Rest and had to kneel, and could not self-destruct at the end. But I could hold torches and PraetorianSalute, so it was all good. I enjoyed seeing folks in-game whose postings I enjoy reading. Steelclaw showed up as a girl, and when I remarked, "You look taller in the Forums," he came right back and quipped, "Butcher, too."

It was good times marking a sad occasion.

I am sensing the same Focused Intent in our OP. Do NOT bet against the reptile in these situations!
